  1. This is the base for the second terrorgheist. I really like how aggressive the terrorgheist pose is, sort of wedge shape with it's head near the ground roaring. I made this base to exaggerate this to an extreme- it now sits on a steep wedge itself, angled down almost vertically, to accentuate that aggressive pose. Around the back there'll be a Cairn Wraith escaping the crypt. Base coat was done with an airbrush, then used some AK enamel earth effects, washes and drybrushing.
  2. Amazing dude! Great concept and implementation
  3. They could what they did with liberators- double the number in a box for a little more. £60 for 3 varanguard is insane. Though even 6 for £60 is insane, so I'm not sure what they could do to make anyone buy them. Maybe an SC box with 3 of them, a new named character and some other unit for £60?

  5. Which rocks do you mean? Most of the floors were done with a green stuff roller to the get stone tiles floor effect?
  6. Get some UHU glue like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UHU-All-Purpose-Adhesive-125ml/dp/B013Z3E4Q4/ref=asc_df_B013Z3E4Q4/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=223170773229&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15528981230115978368&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045888&hvtargid=pla-441489672426&psc=1 This stuff is like gel- i squirt some onto a board then use a toothpick to pick some up and stick to one part of the model. Then using the toothpick, drag the blob across to another part of the model. The glue goes quite firm within a minute, making it really easy to work with. Wait a few hours for it to properly dry and harden (though it never actually hardens, it's always slightly stretchy), then coat in blood for the blood god, or Nurgles Rot if that's your think!
  7. There are some possible conversions but yeah it's a huge pain. They would seem to be the prime suspect for a plastic kit release- they're the battleline of one of the two clans with rules pre-battletome and one of the popular clans. Worth having a look at what others have done, I know that there's a lot of lists with 30 acolytes out there, so someone must have a cheaper solution!
  8. If previous practice is anything to go by, GW tend not to release new kits just out of nowhere, they're tied into battletomes or big boxes. Now skaven just had their battletome, you're looking at at least 2 years before anything new i would imagine.
  9. I think they should make blighted weapons and blades of putrefaction unmodified rolls. Nurgle struggle with damage output at all (we don't need to be big damage dealers- we're resilient which is great, but a paint when you encounter another resilient unit and just know your stuff will sit there till turn 5 because they can't get through anything). If they make blighted weapons straight unmodified 6, i wouldn't mind. Right now BKs are a good battleline unit, but against -1 to hit, they don't do much, though are resilient.
  10. Nice list! I get a real sense the SC Maggotkin (and mortal stuff in general) may be more worth it when GH19 comes out because i can't imagine Pusgoyle Blightlords won't be getting a discount- perhaps even Blightkings as their 6s exploding attack seem worse and worse the more -1 to hit stuff there is out there.
  11. Finished my first set of crypt horrors and a crypt infenal courtier. I went for a light pale skin to contrast with the grey ruin bases. I'm using autumnal colour tufts and leaves to set off the skin tone. I've also assembled my Varghulf Courtier, based on the Dweller in the Dark model for the Middle Earth game. I switched out the head for a courtier head, put him on a scenic resin base so he's more impressive on the table (big issue with FEC is figuring out the different between a horror/flayer, crypt haunter/crypt infernal and their respective courtiers, so all my courtiers and haunter/infenal models will be on bases that make them taller than the rest!) The Varghulf has a victim held in it's right hand- there will be huge amounts of gore coming from the torso, torn arms of the victim and claws of the varghulf, in a similar method to the gore for the crypt horrors. I've made some small progress on the base colours for the terrorgheist base too (plus here it is posed on the base!)
  12. Yes summoning does not entail any extra points costs in AoS- all summoning is taken into account when costing units. So with an archregent you can summon 20 Crypt Ghouls without paying for the 20 Crypt Ghouls. The scenery merely allows you to do this summoning (which can only happen once per game for each archregent!) without spending a command point- as a command ability you would normally have to use 1 command point to use the ability. The charnel throne's ability mean you don't have to spend this 1 command point.
  13. Serf and Knight are keywords related to Crypt Ghouls and Courtiers respectively! Crypt Ghouls are the only Serf units and all Courtier units have the Knight keyword. It's a little confusing- think of it as the name of the unit is was non-flesh eater courts people call them and the keywords is what flesh eater courts believe themselves to be!
  14. I think it looks great. If the dude was standing next to the horse, the saddle would come up to his shoulder, which is about right for a large horse. I think the blightkings are just so fat that they'll never look like a medieval knight on a horse.
  15. I've assembled : Terrorgheist Zombie Dragon 6 crypt horrors 1 crypt haunter courtier 3 crypt ghast courtiers 60 crypt ghouls 1 crypt infernal courtier 1 arch regent. Still to make- 3 crypt horrors 9 crypt flayers 1 varghulf courtier 1 archregent Another terrorgheist! Here's the start of the base for the zombie dragon: The idea is the tomb banshee will be coming out of the crypt- she is the ghost of Arthur's wife-to-be. The ghoul king will hopefully be on foot next to the dragon, just need to figure out how i can pose him!
  16. Yes absolutely! Hoping to get started this week.
  17. I just got my Dweller in the Dark model and will be using it for my Vargheist. Looks like it'll work great- it has fur already on the back and will be easy to add more with green stuff. The two front arms are actually almost identical in diameter to cryft flayer arms- they will fit pretty nicely with some green stuff. Not sure if I'm going to just use flayer arms or clip the flayer wings off and stick to the arms yet.
  18. Dam the blightkings ones are great! The small amount of armour compared to exposed flesh really works with the rest of the army. Only thing is I also collect Nurgle and using blightkings kit (a really really nice kit) to just cut up feels wrong!

  21. Made the finishing touches to the Ghoul King on Terrorgheist base. Added a dude getting caught in the cracked floor plate looking at the skeleton dude leaning agains the pillar.
  22. Spot on! I recommend them, though you need a hell of a lot of green stuff for a whole army. I've got 2 meters of the stuff and that should just about do it!
  23. Thanks- it's about halfway done. I'll post an update pic soon- some skeletons and dead bodies on the floor and larger penants/flags draped on the floor too. I risk going overboard with green stuff everywhere!
  24. Thanks, that's very kind! I've just started using and finding it easier than i thought it would be!
  25. All these people talking about dealing with losing a game- You merely adopted the loss. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see a victory until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!
