4e édition à l'été 24. Rien de majeur jusqu'à l'hiver 25. Nous commencerions avec des BT... et quelques dual box... mon pari est l'hiver 25 au 26.

Necrons + AdMech have been released at the end of autumn 2023 for the 40 000 10th edition. I think we can take this way for the AoS 4rth edition.

Yeah, but that was a minor release. It won't be equivalent to the Ogors one if we expect a renewal.

Whilst it is looking like AoS 4th will follow 40k 10th launch schedule pretty closely, remember that GW is a PLC that needs to always be producing. We might see several new/updated factions across the edition.

Okay, sudden thought with wondering what will be coming for 4th and Adepticon... remember with Leviathan people did the battles and submitted the result of Space marines vs Nids to see who would take over the planet and see what reveals are next? What if we get the same for Stormcast and Skaven with deciding whether the city the Stormcast are defending will survive or fall to the Skaven plus a pick of who gets the rest of their range revealed next?
What if the refresh of Warrior chamber is in the box so it is easy for new players and Ruination comes later as the next more specialised bunch of units?

It could even be that whether they defend the city or fail that it is the Ruination chamber that comes as reinforcements

So eh funnily enough I popped into my local GW today (not going to mention where, because I don't want the manager to get in trouble) and the manager was talking about this, showed us a campaign pack where each store is given a city and players have to sign up on the side of order to found and defend a free city or on the side of chaos to kill the Dawnbringer crusade/destroy the city after its founding, looks like there is a fair bit of depth to it!

Btw, what about the box being called 'Ruination'? It is strong, it is linked to one of the factions in a similar way to Leviathan referring to that side of the Nids, it is short and easy to memorise, and it is kind of intriguing if you think about what it could be about.

It is linked to both factions, as Great Horned Rat is the Chaos God of Ruin. FWIW, I'm in favour.

I wish we get narrative progress through edition not just at end of it. Some big moments that lead into army tomes etc

if skaven are coming in the launch box, unless there's a secret 6th book then Khorgos Kul's story still needs to collide with Vandus. that could be when we get more of the Ruination chamber and more Thunderstruck kits?

I assume Death and Destruction get no say? In which case, the Bonereapers will be aiding Order on this one.

From looking at it it just seemed like there was the two teams so I'm assuming death/destruction can declare for whoever they want to!

Même s'il semble qu'AoS 4th suivra d'assez près le calendrier de lancement du 40k 10th, rappelez-vous que GW est un automate qui doit toujours produire. Nous pourrions voir plusieurs factions nouvelles/mises à jour dans l’édition.

If they produce more from this year or next year, we have a chance to gain a place for DE, Kurnothi and lasts Lumineth nations during 4rth edition to follow the Chorfs ? That à great opportunity !

Hoping for a roadmap with the reveal of the launch box set.

Honestly that’d be a good compromise especially since AoS4 will be Chaos on the rise which means Death & Destruction will be back on the sidelines picking their opportunities.

Same as when Death was on the rise in AoS2 so Destruction and even some Chaos elements were backing Order to survive.

And AoS3 saw Chaos & Death fall to a lot of infighting which can be partly chalked up to Kragnos’ influence since the novel confirmed he causes fissures in people too.(so it was rather fitting he caused Archaon to lose his sh$t and start yelling about the Dark Gods that lost him most of the 8th circle of Varanguard to Belakor and stirred that civil war up)

If they don’t go as an ally in a Kruleboyz battletome(very similar themes there & both Destruction) I hope they can do a Scions of the Realms faction that’s a big mishmash of all the exotic beastial forces out there like Silent People & Aetar banning together

Aetar are the big sentient eagles right ?

With less than a week to go to Adepticon, it's time for some predictions.

Adepticon show.

40k:

two chaos heroes with box sets.

Flying Sisters hero with box set.

Agents of the imperium teaser.

AoS:

Dawnbringers book 6 with Abraxia or whatever her name is. No other heroes.

AoS 4th cinematic trailer

A couple of minis from the launch box shown but not the full set.

A few details about rules. Indexes are mentioned.

Kill team:

Gsc Vs loV box. Next edition teased

Warcry:

Sylvaneth Vs OBR

Underworlds:

New box set. Who knows what warbands but maybe Nurgle Vs Cities religious types.

The Old World

Dwarves. A couple of new heroes. Would love to see the missing tank.

Necromunda:

Necromunda secondus teaser

Horus Heresy:

Plastic Admech teaser.

That would make for a pretty good show with more to look forward to in the rest of the spring.

Indeed. They’re related to celestial eagles but turned from Sigmar and settled in the highest peaks of Ghur.

They wear basic steel armor and warding jewelry plus gild their talons making them terrifying foes.

Fans even did a Soulbound profile for them:

“ In appearance they resemble Aetherwings and Star-eagles but on a vast scale, growing to be twice the size of a Flamespyre Phoenix. Females have larger and more powerful claws and beaks than the males.

The Aetar are one of many native peoples of the vast Gorwood region who refuse to accept Sigmar's rule, and were not particularly accepting of his return.

When Ikrit finally laid siege to Seven Words, the Aetar came to aid the free city. Though they sought vengeance against the Skaven, rather than seeking to save the city itself.

The Aetar have developed a warrior culture with a militant aristocracy. These warriors are known as Eagle Knights and are organized into phalanxes. They wear jewellery and armour, covering the neck and breast in steel and topaz, whilst their rulers bear golden circlets atop their heads. A single Eagle Knight can contend with and even defeat a Prosecutor retinue and a Knight-Azyros.

They despise the minions of Chaos, just like many others races of the Mortal Realms.

Males can demonstrate their prowess and vitality to both rivals and potential mates by making displays high in the sky and at high speed - normally only hatchlings being forced to stay on solid ground.”

Ha. Interesting how it is tied to a GW store.

The 40k people are currently confused and sad that they haven't had much new stuff since the new edition dropped. Short memories, as that literally always happens, but I guess we are more aware of what's going on in 40k than they are in AoS so I guess they pay attention to half as much of what goes on, so are less likely to spot the pattern!

My local store manager dropped that end of march, he starts a dawnbringer campaign in the store where players are getting goodies and it contains, lore, painting and playing

tbf, GW has still been reeling from delays and issues with manufacturing, I would hope the plan was for the first 2 army books to drop a lot closer to launch than they ended up doing. Hopefully by the time of aos4, they'll have that new factory running and also sorted out all their warehousing problems

So, i'm asking myself "What can we see along the year for AoS ?".

For this year? 4th Launch box and the release of expanding boxed to those two factions mainly.  Maybe a battletome or two, as much, from other factions (with a hero or something else, but not much).

I wonder if they go the hero + tome route again if we are getting indexes. Doesnt make sense to me at that point to release tomes asap.

Edit: GW doesnt seem to be in a hurry with 40k codexes, but i could be wrong. My focus is not on 40k this edition.
