Respectfully I disagree, Stormcast have taken a beating lore-wise over the past couple of editions. If a schism happens with them that's just the cherry on top of the cake and a lot of people will be wondering why they play the faction when they just get dumped on in the lore. I'm pretty sure the Ossiarchs were made by Nagash to be his Stormcast after he messed about with some of their souls he captured. If Deathcast eternals did become a thing, they would probably fall under Nagash since GW don't really seem to want to introduce any other large death gods to rival him and he wouldn't let them have much personality, they would most likely be automatons. Alas this isn't a lore thread so we should probably keep discussion on this light 😊

So eh funnily enough I popped into my local GW today (not going to mention where, because I don't want the manager to get in trouble) and the manager was talking about this, showed us a campaign pack where each store is given a city and players have to sign up on the side of order to found and defend a free city or on the side of chaos to kill the Dawnbringer crusade/destroy the city after its founding, looks like there is a fair bit of depth to it!

Absolutely, that's the last thing AoS needs! I'm kind of apprehensive about letting Chaos into Azyr as well, I think it would be fine if it was just the Skaven, but if the realm goes into complete open warfare I'm a bit afraid they'll kind of write themselves into the whole 'inevitable chaos victory' box. However I have infinitely more faith in the writing team for AoS than the other systems, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with!

Very much looking forward to the new edition and seeing all the new skaven/stormcast goodies! Not going to lie though, I am a bit worried with how the lore is going, feels a little like they are just trying to make AoS a reskinned 40k. Might just be me missing the kind of hopeful feeling of earlier editions though. I thought Be'lakor messing with the reforging process kind of sucked at the time (actually happy with how it turned out in the long run though) as it messed with the Stormcast's thing that made them unique, so I'm really hoping they don't completely mess it up and that Sigmar's 'lie' is just about skaven being in Azyr or something.

Okay and that's your opinion, as other people have pointed out in other threads NPE is entirely subjective but you can't seem to realise that and imagine that every hobbyist has the same opinion as your own like this example that was posted in the LRL rules discussion: the LRL do frankly have a stupid and ignorant design philisophy that is disheartening for ANYONE playing against them. What these comments do however is make a lot of people who spend a lot of money on their army and a lot of time to make them look cool, look like WAAC power gamers who want to make their opponent rage quit. Warhammer is a social hobby, and comments like the ones you have made on these forums might lose these people games or even friends in some gaming circles, that's why I have an issue with it, so think about how you word things and actually try to offer solutions.

Cool, nice of you to show your true colours I have not seen one 'LRL fanboy' jump into a rage fit, all I've seen is LRL players like Luminethmage and ragest trying to rebuke unreasonable claims from people that haven't even played against the new units yet, if anyone is being hostile it's people like yourself, you seem to enjoy complaining about LRL and Stormcast a lot but never have I once seen you complain about any other 'OP' or 'NPE heavy' faction and if anyone is reacting negatively to what your posting right now, like myself, it's because of things you have said yourself rather than blind loyalty to an army that they play TGA used to be a place where people were civil, and happy for others when an army they were looking forward to got released, they also actually offered constructive criticism for potentially overpowered rules and releases they thought weren't great. With the LRL stuff you haven't done any of that, you took one look at the rules that were previewed and then screeched NPE, then when people pointed out that you hadn't seen the rest of the warscroll you immediately seemed to take the stance of 'fanboys mad lol, LRL toxic' Not cool dude

Yeah-nah, sorry bud but your preferred version of events sounds much worse than what GW have written imo, and xking is kinda right you have been pretty damn unreasonable in your criticisms of the LRL stuff and the Stormcast eternals rules, it doesn't seem like you are seeing things critically but it does come off as a very emotional knee-****** reaction. I wouldn't have said anything normally but those kind of comments from yourself doesn't make TGA a fun place.

Hmmm there's a lot I'd love to see so I'll break down my wish-listing by GA 😅 ORDER - A new regular human or a re-imagining of the freeguilds or devoted please, I just want to kick ass with witch hunters and warrior priests again hahaha! - Kharadron and Fyreslayers getting the Lumineth treatment - New Seraphon please DEATH - Ossiarch Wave 2 DESTRUCTION - More gribblies - Hobgoblins - More stuff for Ironjawz - Maybe some more or re-imagined ogor kits? Especially after seeing the cursed city one! CHAOS - Updated heroes like Valkia the bloody, and all the generic lords/heroes still in metal and resin - A proper Slaves to Darkness book accompanied by multipart chaos warrior, chosen and knight kits, maybe a new marauder kit if people don't want to use warcry stuff - Skaven range refresh a'la Gloomspite, keep the clanrats, stormvermin and newer kits but refresh the rest, they deserve it! - Pestigors and Khorgors to complete the themed beastmen!

I'm actually pretty glad this cull has happened, means I can get rid of loads of models that are just dead weight to me now and focus on newer more exciting stuff! Sure as a player it's sad to see some of the kits go and there's a few that are a surprise but we all knew a cull had to happen at some point. The models that have been around for a decade plus generally don't look too nice anymore and don't fit with the current aesthetic. Hopefully the kits/factions that replace them in future will be light years better.
