Am i the only one upset from the Skaven faction focus? I was hoping for some kind of "macrofaction" or something, not a discount to ally Skaven to a Skaven army or the silly *5 clanrats summon with the spell*.

The hell am i supposed to do with 5 clanrats?! ? maybe i'm too biased about it but i was hoping for more then 6 clanrats and a verminlord with 12 on two dices.

That kind of news wouldn't be announced by a post on a website. If it's ever happening it will be at a show with a new battletome.

Hell, that's an incredibly cheap chaff wall.

Why not? A Skaven alliance ability with stormvermin and clanrats Skaven battleline.  To play Skaven tematic i'have to pick chaos and use 120 clanrats...

At this point I'm just whiny and I'll stop. I just always hope for more Skaven love...

Eh, I'm not concerned :) All they did was tell us a bunch of stuff we already figured out, and cleared up some potential confusion regarding Verminking's spell (since it is currently VERMINUS models that are set up. i.e: Warbringer)

Doesn't mean we don't get anything in the new handbook ;)

I'm wondering how expensive Predatory spells are points cost wise.

can you use the new spell with combination with those? Also wouldn't it be scary if some stuff couldn't be dispelled. Like lets say you summon a sun that eats stuff or a metor to drop on the ground, it won't just stop falling down, because you waved a wand at it.

I doubt you can cast spells from multiple realms.

Furthermore I don't think these rules are targeted at matched play.

Do we know for sure that these spells are realm-exclusive? I'd be much less inclined to buy the purple sun if I could only use it whenever I happen to roll Shyish on the realm table.

No your not the only one upset at all.

i was also hoping for some news like points reduction for clanrats and Stormvermins

or some kind of a fully renewed warscroll (for the screaming Bell maybe)

but yeah at least we got a review I guess?

Just a question that I ask myself....: can we spend the spell in the order we want in the magic phase or do we have to spend ALL the spells of fist wizzard, then all from the second, then...

I mean, can I do 2 spells from nagash, then 1 from necro then 3 from nagash etc...  ?

See no reason why it would be against the rules.

I don't know the skaven but I love their minis: problem is the mix of all skaven factions...because I love their machines and techno.

Well playing a mixed skaven list makes fluffwise more sense than just a skaven skyre list (for some reason those guys lost there meatshields (slaves, and clanrats))

They have a realm keyword at the bottom, I take that as an indicator.

Either way, we are still missing a lot of information about matched play and what is and what is not allowed.

If these spells are totally unrestricted and available in any quantity (which I doubt), armies without access to wizards are gonna have a bad time. On top of feeling like a cheap move from GW to sell models (no point costs, ergo bordering to mandatory). I can see tournaments rejecting these realm rules and spells. The same way they ignored several other expansion and campaign books in the past (not strictly revering to AoS).

Again, we are pretty much kept in the dark and GW is not gonna change that until we bought the book. So, I'm only mildly alarmed.

@GeneralZero Depends on clan:

- Clanrats are GA Chaos battleline

- for Skryre - Acolytes and Stormfiends

- for Verminus - Stormvermins

- for Moulder - Giant Rats and Rat Ogors

- for Pestilens - Plague Monks and Censer Bearers

- for Eshin -  Gutter and Night Runners.

The reference to wizard bounty hunters is interesting.

This probably won't happen, but it'd be cool if, in the style of the Malign Portents Harbingers, they put out four new wizards (one for each allegiance) who specialise in Endless Spells, and can ally with anyone in their allegiance - so everyone has at least some access to the new toys. I'd love that.

Skaven need badly new models and rules that you don't have to use old metal models as battleline if anything.
