  1. Just finished off this unit. Total of painted Ghouls now at 110. Maybe I am the crazy one.
  2. Also remind folks that before the new book we had mostly the same army without the new buffs and were totally irrelevant competitively (besides some great results from one the best players in the world Bill S, who I am pretty sure could win a GT with random models blindly drawn out of a paper bag).
  3. Our army is a close combat army. It is the only thing we do well. Our shooting phase is anemic. Our magic is mostly combat buffs and no where near other armies like LoN or Gloomspire. Also saves across the army are bad so most of our units just melt. If we don’t hit like a Mac truck we are just a bunch of bad dudes who don’t do much of anything and can’t compete with top armies like DoK, LoN or Stormcast.
  4. I always loved this model from Blood Keep minis for a Varghulf. To bad they went out of business. You see then on ebay occasionally and the sculptor keeps saying he is going to release them again.
  5. The way the VLoZD sees most play is alongside Prince Vhordrai or another VLoZD in a "double dragon" formation. The most used kit out is the minus one to hit Legion Of Blood command trait plus the Ethereal Amulet to give him a +3 unrendable save (that can re-role 1's if you get Mystic Shield off). This makes him pretty tough to deal with outside of mortal wounds.
  6. Probably should be painting more monster fatties but I have these Ghouls to finish.
  7. Yea someone definitely stumbled onto the random thrash metal band name generator.
  8. Looking good, I always like to see ghosties that branch out from the usual spectral paint scheme. When you get time post up your other Nighthaunts, always like looking at other ghost boys.
  9. Yes they mentioned he was running the Garland. I watched and it seemed it was only one fatty. The Flayers were doing a lot of the work. He also had Cogs, so it was brutal fast get up on you list. The match they showed was a turn 2 concession from Sylvaneth.
  10. Looks like a Blisterkin Flayer Heavy Deadwatch list did well at Heat 1 (top 3). They showed Russ Veal's list on the Warhammer TV Stream and it was something like, Archregent, AGK, AGKoTG, x2 Infernal Courtier, x6 Flayers, x6 Flayers, x3 Flayers. I am really glad to see that there is a little more play in the army than the Gristlegore Monster bomb.
  11. Love your stuff. Keep pumping it out, is truly a treat to see.
  12. Really like the colors! Good choice, makes these great models pop.
  13. Hey all: Quick question for all you Gitz experts. Long time player and poster with several other armies, I have picked up some of the new models and am putting a Gitz army together. I am mostly a casual player but I do go to about 2-3 tourneys a year. I am drawn to the new squig models and am leaning toward a squig based list. However, just a quick glance at the book and the online discussions gives me the impression that the better/competitive lists all center around hoards of Stabbas or Spiders. Not all that concerned, will probably still go squig heavy, just trying to get a feel for what I am getting into before I commit too much more hobby cash/time.
  14. I plan to use a little green stuff to get the gap under control. Love the rest of the model. The only downside is that it is so detailed and intricate that it will make conversion a little tricky.
  15. Two more Serfs for the levies, then took a break from the Ghoul slog and built this bad boy. I was not all that impressed when I first saw the model, but after getting it in my hands I have to say it is awesome. Maybe one of my all time favorite sculpts, just went and ebayed two more!
  16. We can realistically get down to 3-4, depending on how many heroes you want with a couple, either Ghoul Patrol and Deathwatch. This will get you down low enough to get under most lists and would be enough in my opinion.
  17. I honestly think this will be a big concern for us at the highest competitive level. I played a game yesterday against a heavy shooting SCE list and had one of my regents snipped turn one and almost lost the other, could have if the dice had rolled super well for the SCE player. The same concerns apply to big alpha strike lists. Its hard to screen with only big fatties and a good alpha strike can wipe out a couple regents. Getting a low drop and making sure you get your regents' summons off could be a huge concern if the meta takes a big turn toward shooting (I am looking at you Skaven).
  18. Love the rats! Look forward to seeing the rest of this army!
  19. From the looks of Ben's twitter feed his list was: Gristlegore 2 x Abhorrant Archregents 1 x AGK on TG 3 x Royal Terrorghiests 2 command points and some endless spells
  20. Cawdor Necromunda gang, awesome kit and straight up made to be converted into FEC.
  21. It is pretty uneven but it is approximately 4 inches wide x 3 inches deep.
  22. Great job overall with these gitz. Your army oozes theme. Keep up the good work!
  23. Unfortunately not. Here is the quote from the main Errata: Q: Some units and battalions have a warscroll, but the warscroll does not have a Pitched Battle profile. Can I use these units or battalions in a Pitched Battle game? A: No. These units and battalions are only intended for use in open or narrative play games
