  1. Beastmen were my first ever painted army, though I don´t have them anymore. Gave them away as a present. Nevertheless, the models are still beautiful as hell. Something is pulling me towards a herd based on 2x 30 Bestigors because these are awesome miniatures. Not to mention all kinds of Minotaurs and Minotaur based monsters. So awesome...
  2. Just a question: why is dreadwood named to be good? What's the deal here?
  3. Hi, just a short question: Can the free cities rules still be used in matched play? Is it tournament legal?
  4. Well, I'm just painting my third GUO to be able to run thricefold befoulment and I really can't see a list that seems to work. I'm surprised that 3 GUOs + 3x 10 Plaguebearers +6 Drones is causing headaches, because on paper it doesn't seem to be that strong.
  5. I´d like to know more about that list. Could you share it?
  6. And are pretty fast. IMO one of the most underrated units.
  7. Hi all, had anyone out there any success with non-eel lists? Reason is I don´t want to be a mainstream guy, but I´m pretty interested in Deepkin. I like the Thralls and Eidolons from a modelling / painting perspective and just wonder wether this would be any good. I´m not looking for tournament hotness, instead I´m looking for some fun casual games on a semi competetive level.
  8. What about this for some fun 1000 pts games: MBMK, 4x 3 Gore Gruntas --- exactly 1000 points
  9. Hi everybody, Stephan here. 1. How important are the treelords? Do I really need them? Reasons are: I'm searching for an army, that is easy to transport. Right now I play Nurgle Deamons with several Great Unclean Ones and that army is a pain to transport. Therefore I like to have an army that doesn't rely on monsters to do well. Only exception I'd do is Drycha. She has to be part of an Sylvaneth army for me. => Will an army based around Drycha and some Hunters (as well as battlelines and additional heroes of course) do well on the battlefield? 2. Are Revenants any good when it comes down to battleline? 3. how many Citadel woods should I get at the start? Thanks in advanve!
  10. Thanks for your thoughts and insights. Highly appreciate it. But what does "clown car" mean?
  11. What are the nerfs you're reffering to? Can't find anything regarding smiter being nerfed.
  12. Thanks! Is the Guardian of Soul a must have? Will it work in 1000 pts too without additional units?
  13. Hi all, let´s say I´d start with Nighthaunt. Therefore I like to ask some questions: 1. Is Lady Olynder AND Kurdoss Valentian a good start? I absolutely love these models, therefore I´d like to go with them. If I had to decide between them, I´d eventually choose Kurdoss over Olynder, when it comes down to models. 2. What units do Olynder and Kurdoss like to see in your army? Any good synergies? 3. Basically I like Kurdoss, Olynder, Spirit Hosts, Grimghast Reapers, any kind of Banshees and Dreadblade Harrows. Is it possible to build a good army around these models? 4. Are there any "must haves" when it comes down to Nighthaunt?
  14. Hi, I need some advice! I will play my very first game with Nurgle next week, but because I started to refuse to play with unpainted models, I can only field the following: Rotigus GUO 10 Plaguebearers 10 Plaguebearers 5 Furies --- 980 I know that this is far from anything worth, but I have to live with it. Now I like to know your opinion on artifact, spells and abilities to choose. What artifact / spells will support that bunch of models? Any words on tactics? Should I drop the Furies and instead invest in some endless spell? I think that I´ll be able to still paint 1-2 endless spell(s). Thanks in advance
  15. Hi, are Plague Drones really that good? Are they the best hammer we can get? Or are the Pusgoyle Blightlords the better hammer?
  16. I'd ditch the Chaos Lord on foot and the Gors and take a huge unit of Ungor Raiders. IMO these are the only beastmen worth it in GA Chaos armies. Maybe Bestigors too with their reduced points. Ungor Raiders are relatively cheap with mediocre to good shooting. Nice for bubble wrapping your army.
  17. Lord on Juggernaut gives a great buff to mortal Khorne but be aware that you need command points doing so. And command points are tight in Khorne with all these good buffing command abilities. I'm just painting / building my force so I can't say much about how they work.
  18. Why do you talk about artifacts? Flesh Hounds as well as Karanak have the ability to unbind spells. It´s written on their warscroll. No artifacts needed. Karanak also offers the chance to summon an additional unit of Flesh Hounds.
  19. I´d definetely try to squeeze in 1-2 units of flesh hounds (these are Khorne battleline) as well as Karanak. That way you gain access to 3 unbinds per round which can be rerolled if you place your DAEMON heros accordingly.
  20. Hi all, did anyone out there ever run Thricefold Befoulment? I really love those Great Unclean Ones and I´m painting my first one right now while I´m assembling Rotigus. I have to get that third GUO just to run them all together. But I´m not sure what I can do to bring that list to 2000 points. A Bligfht Cyst Battallion can be used to bring it to 1980 points, but I´m pretty low on models then. An other idea is to get a Lord of Afflictions +2x Pusgoyle Blightlords +Blightkings: even less models, but more speed. Or should I simply run 2 big units of Plaguebearers and some Blightkings?
  21. Hi Khadorans, let´s say I´d like to start with Khadorans and because I really love all the ships I have to get some of them! Well, I wonder if I should go with 2 Frigates or 1 Iroclad and I like to get some advice. The basics: - 1000 points games (yes, I know it will be light on troops then, but that´s the way I like to go. - 1 Ironclad or 2 Frigates? The Ironclad is a bit cheaper compared to two Frigates (-60 points), offer less wounds and less board presence. But it is one hell of a cool looking miniature! And it allows to run a one-drop-army in 1k points. 2 Frigates on the other hand offer more board presence and some kind of redundancy, which might be advantageous. Though I have to buy and paint 2 models instead of one. Big advantage: Frigate is part of the battleforce boxed set. The thing I really can´t estimate is the comparison in firepower. Which one is stronger. 2 Frigates or 1 Ironclad when it comes down to shooting? Well, overall, what´s your opinion on this topic?
  22. I'd start with less heros but more nurglings. You want a unit of Nurglings to sit near Morbidex and at least one unit to get any use out of their special deployment ability. In addition I'd try something like this: Morbidex 2 units if Nurglings 2 units of Blightkings (that's 780 points) fill rest with support of choice, maybe a lord of Blight or Lord of Plague or a Sorcerer Lord. Or some fast moving units.
