  1. Yes, but companies a fraction of GWs size manage to to do across the board updates to every model and faction in their games simultaneously. This also tends to lead to a more healthy and varied spread of forces. Really wish GW would abandon the "one at a time" approach.
  2. In theory you could, but he would be an instant casualty, as after he is removed from the table, there is no way to place him any longer.
  3. The rules are in the BRB now. Page 242 says: "Command Traits have no effect on attacks made by a general's mount" and Artifacts of Power have no effect on attacks made by a hero's mount". Those are very specific, so they effect non-hero/general mounts. If you want more recent abilities than that Chaos one, Lord of Nagasizzar from Legions of Nagash will give an extra attack to both a Black Knight and his skeletal steed, but not to a Wight King general steed (a non-general Wight King would get and extra attack on his steed though). The Banner of Rage artifact from Blades of Khorne will allow you to re-roll hit rolls of 1 for Skullcrusher and Bloodcrusher mounts, but not the mounts of any heroes.
  4. Why would Chainrasp Horde get cheaper and Direwolves go up?
  5. Yes you are ignoring an entire line of text, and you just did so again. Read Legions of Nagash again. Look at the line of text directly above Invigorating Aura. That line of text is what is most important, and that line is missing. Nowhere in LoG does it say that it is a gravesite ability, only an allegiance ability (LoN specifically says it is an ability belonging to gravesites). Arguing that you can use an ability as many times as you feel like just because is a very dangerous proposition. Your personal interpretation would result in Sylvaneth players being able to place every Wyldwood they own at the start of the game, because the placement ability must belong to the Wyldwoods themselves, along with an endless list of other broken jank. This is seriously starting to remind me of when one user argued against the entire forum on how healing worked when LoN dropped.
  6. You are ignoring an ENTIRE line of text. You can't just look at a single piece of a rule out of context, you have to read all of it. The LoN allegiances have this line of text "Gravesites have the following abilities:". That little line is absolutely critical, as it applies one instance of the listed abilities per gravesite on the table. So if you have 4 gravesites, you have 4 separate instances of IA, 1 applied to each. LoG is missing that line of text, which means the ability is applied to the allegiance. Since you only have one allegiance, you only have 1 (single) instance of that ability. And like EVERY OTHER ability in the game, it can only be used once per turn per instance (unless stated directly otherwise) in the ways its specifically says. And it says that you may once per turn select A gravesite. For LoG gravesites to function like the LoN gravesites, that line of text will need to be erratad back in, or they wound need to change A to EACH, or they would need to add in an extra line allowing you to use the ability once per gravesite.
  7. In the LoN it says EACH gravesite has invigorating aura. And that Each gravesite may use invigorating aura. In LoG it says that the Allegiance has Invigorating Aura. And that Invigorating Aura lets you select A (singular) gravesite each turn. Those two changes together make it RAW 1 heal per turn from gravesites.
  8. I might try out this list. Have not picked traits, artifacts, or spells yet though. Allegiance: Death Dreadblade Harrow (100) Knight of Shrouds on Ethereal Steed (140) Spirit Torment (120) Necromancer (110) Guardian of Souls with Nightmare Lantern (140) 20 x Chainrasp Horde (160) 40 x Skeleton Warriors (280) - Ancient Spears 10 x Dire Wolves (120) 20 x Grimghast Reapers (280) 15 x Bladegheist Revenants (270) Black Coach (280) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 153
  9. The Lord of War command trait for GA: Chaos lets you pick a friendly unit and give it +1 to its attack rolls on a 4+. If you use this on the character himself, his mount will not benefit. If you use it on a unit of Chaos Knights, Tzaangor Enlightened, or Skullcrushers (as examples), their mounts would benefit.
  10. This is mostly true, Command traits and and artifacts do not effect the attacks of the heroes mount. They CAN however effect other mounts. It does not come up often. But it is something to keep in mind.
  11. Tzaangors are not worth running in 10s, as they lose their extra attack far too soon. 20 or 30 is the way to go. There is not really a reason to run a horde of pinks imo. In fact I don't think I would run more than 10 in a unit. The horde discount is not exactly huge, and if split up, each is a wizard that can go for a different spell, provide an extra dispell, and give an extra potential mortal wound to that Tzaangor banner. On the numbers front, Tzeentch is a pretty elite army all in all. Acolytes are the only real cheap unit we have access to. Worth noting that each Pink is technically 5 bodies, though only a max of three of those will be present at one time.
  12. 1. Yes. Even using the same ability more than once, unless the wording says or would make it otherwise) will stack. Two Castellans shining their lanterns on the same unit for example works. Also not that most of these abilities effect the roll not the stat itself. 2. No, the moment they move out of range, they no longer benefit.
  13. Don't know why ebay would be a problem. That is literally the quickest and easiest way to get one given how long the kit has been out of print.
  14. Overwhelming Dread and Fading Vigor would be my top choices of Necromancer spells. Also ya, ethereal amulet on the dragon, or it will go down within 1-2 turns from rending shooting.
  15. Nurgle, LoN, IDK, and DoK were written with 2.0 and all its changes in mind (endless spells, no more reserve points, etc) according to GW themselves. Any books that came out prior to those 4 were not.
  16. Here is the thing though. Command traits, artifacts, command abilities, and other rules granted by your allegiance don't have point values. And is simply having access to those abilities enough to warrant a point hike? Should a non-Gristlegore AGKoTG/ZD have the same points cost as its Gristlegore cousin?
  17. Grand Host and Sacrament could certainly stand to be toned down a bit. But Night and Blood need help.
  18. That would be because NH is a very low powerlevel book. It not only fairs poorly against Grand Host and Sacrament, but almost every other 2.0 and several 1.0 battletomes as well. And if we strip all NH out of Legions just to make NH on its own seem stronger (seems like a very backwards way of doing things imo), then by that logic we would have to strip the others out of Legions as they get their own books until Legions simply does not exist any more.
  19. Morghast Harbingers with halberds probably. They are far from points efficient, but they are probably our best ambush option by far.
  20. That would get me to quit Death honestly. It gets really old really quick seeing my army being split apart, then stitched back together, only to see it split apart again. I like having my vampires leading an undead army that includes ghosts. Can't do that with LoG. Even then its mostly Grand Host and Sacrament. Night and Blood perform nowhere near as well. The 2 former are simply stronger allegiances (in both rules, traits, and artifacts), and Nagash and Arkhan are also both magnitudes better than Neferata and Manfred. And once realm spells became a things, both of them got that much stronger.
  21. Your first and third questions are going to be answered by the following. Abilities that prevent damage/wounds, like the Rune shields, are not saves. The only thing in the game that is actually a save is that number printed on your warscroll that says save. Everything else is just a damage prevention ability. As for your 2nd question, you can NEVER re-roll a re-roll in AoS.
  22. Its in the FAQ/Errata https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/age_of_sigmar_legions_of_nagash_errata_en-1.pdf There is also the brand new Legion of Grief in the new box set that just came out.
  23. FAQ states that all battalions have the keyword of their battletome and their GA. So the battalions in the NH book have the NH and Death keywords.
  24. I went WAY overboard on my Tzaangors. Only ever got 20 foot, 6 skyfires, and 1 shaman painted. They are packed away now, but I have some pictures of the prototype from a couple years back:
  25. Nope, there are two wording differences which I outlined above.
