  1. That looks like a bad ass set up of tokens and terrain dice. Reaaally jealous! Your Pestilens is making me want to get my ass moving here. Pokemon Go has crushed my painting time but as soon as the Beastmen are done we're going hard into Rotbringers and Pestilens!
  2. I was really interested in this formation too. However, as far as I've seen the Bloodscorch Bulltribe formation only gives them the Khorne Keyword, not the Mortal Keyword as well. All of the Bloodbound Command Abilities that I can find require Khorne Mortal as keywords. So, I don't think you can actually use them to affect the Bullgor or Ghorgons. A lot of the Chaos stuff is finicky about its Keywords, things affect Khorne Daemons and things like that, but not Khorne Mortals. I'm sure we can agree the Bullgor are probably "mortal" but without the Keyword, I dont think it would be actually proper. Though if your gaming folks are fine with you counting it as Khorne Mortal then that's swell. If I'm wrong, do let me know! Its not going to stop me from making some Khorne Bullgor, but not sure I'll make the push for a whole Bloodscorch tribe.
  3. Hey hey!, Just a quick update with a WIP picture of the Centigor. I've been working on 7 or 8 of these guys (all I could find!) and the Warhoof himself for the painting section of the Season of War. I'm trying to learn how to highlight properly without just dry brushing everything. Not sure how much I like it, but at least it doesn't look chalky!
  4. Thanks Dangermouse425!, A few years ago when I first got them it was way more interesting to stick tentacles on things then paint. But I'd rush those conversions too so everything looked like pewp. Now I sometimes find these horrid monstrousities in my boxes and I'm like "WHO MADE THAT?" And it was me. -.-
  5. Thanks audre! They are the first things I've painted that I actually like and haven't melted yet!
  6. I'm geeky enough that I have to have a running storyline in my head when I play. /blush Its why I end up with so many armies "oh think of the stories, oh man that'd be amaaaazing! take my monies!" I'll try to get a good picture of him soon. Thanks for the comments!
  7. The Brayherd was unleashed again today in my quest to cast the stores of my city into the Realm of Chaos. Game 1 saw us take down a force of Ironjawz, Game 2 saw us smashed as we tried to Breakthrough and Ogor blockade! While I was at the shop I snuck off to their Malifaux table and took some glamour shots of those gentlest of Beastmen! The Ungor, led by the Pigman of the Southern Sootlands The Pigman is still said to be a myth, but those whom live in the Sootlands would challenge that claim fiercely. No sow is safe in those parts. The Blessed, led by Vorok Spawndestined Those Gor whom are high (or low) in favour! The Tuskgor Chariot Knightshatterer In one of his first outings he flank charged a unit of Chaos Knights. I boldly declared they were all going to die - and they did. The Tuskgor Chariot Rotcart For when the machinations of the Grandfather must be pushed forward! The Great Bray Shaman Slugtongue His form may be dust along with the Old World, but his carrion soul lives on. Playing a part in every famine from here to Ulgu. Much like his picture, he comes and goes with the locust he bears. Beastlord Kaamagruul himself on foot. Alternatively, I pretend Gorthor the Beastlord is him ^.^ It is said that occasionally the soul of a great Beastmen hero possesses those worthy. Beastlord Kaamagruul has been seeing barreling into battle astride a great skull mounted chariot, sending blasts of dark energy ahead of him.
  8. The Goatfather

  9. (Pictures below!) Shartor Dragonchewer snorted, sending steam cutting through the evening frost. They had marched far with their quarry and the air even this far from the Jotenburg was chill and harsh. Still, they had escape the daemons of blood that had sought the precious Shard of the Herdstone. First, escaping from the wailing bloodthirsty creatures through an land of haunting ruins continued to trouble the dreams of some of his tribe. Then, as the daemons closed in, his monstrous tribe was able to destroy the ice-bridge that surrounded the deceased Jotenburg over the sea. Sealing the daemons on the mainland and leaving the tribe free to continue their travel. This was not without its costs though as the daemons, in their own desperation, shattered part of the ground themselves and sent many a bullgor to their icy death. The hardest part of the entire endeavor was resisting the Bloodgreed. There was much blood and gore to be had, but the Doombull needed to maintain his focus. To fall to the Bloodgreed, to enter into open conflict with these daemons would be to forfeit the Herdstone and risk shackling his, and Beastlord Kaamagruul's tribes to servitude. Still, what was arrayed before him was no better sight for it carried with it two risks. One, the Bloodgreed, and two, the two armies arrayed before him. Clearly, stopping to devour the nearby town was a necessary but costly ordeal. He licked the frozen remnants of gore from his tusks and narrowed his eyes. The tribesbull closest to him were already losing themselves, huffing, grunting and snorting, tearing at the ground with their hooves and paws. For across this valley a column of the shimmering warriors of Azyr and their Fyreslayer dwarf allies were amassing. Worse, from behind, he could make out the skittering shapes and disgusting sent of the Skaven. These creatures, like the daemons, had sought to capture the Herdstone, and he had little doubt that the forces aligned against him were brought on by those most treacherous of beasts. He needed to pass them. He let the Bloodgreed take over. Vak the Manflayer charged forward as well. The Wargor's own blood had risen to the occasion and he howled a warcry to his fellow Brayherd. When, out of the frost-mists came an unexpected sight. The howls of fury and bloodgreed were met by daemonic shrieks. The air became coppery. As droplets of sleet and moisture turned red, and then stuck to eachother - out of the newly reddened mists came dozens of Bloodletters. The Daemons of Khorne had arrived, but were charging not at the Warherd, but with them. A Blood-flurry tore across the valley. My first game for the Season of War. This was awesome! Three friends challenged my previous enemy and I to a 2v3 game. Stormcast, Fyreslayers and Skaven vs Beastmen and Khorne Daemons. We played this weeks Battleplan. My main highlight came when the Bullgor and Doombull charged Retributors and Vandus, with a Jabberslythe nearby having JUST made the Retributors unable to do ANYTHING (including attacking). The carnage was much, and the Retributors blazed back to Azyr. The doombull fell, but the bullgor send Vandus back as well. The armies of Blood achieved victory, seizing the store for Chaos. In my head, I saw this as an awesome continuation to a mini-campaign my companion and I were playing, which was Khorne Daemons vs Beastmen. Here are the culprits for my side! The Bullgor Hargum Stone Watcher Pictures of Shartor Dragonchewer will come later! He was shy and apparently I don't have any pictures of him. The rest of the warherd will hopefully be done painting soon! Cygor and Ghorgon, as well as some new Bullgor I ordered that I will be painting Khornate since the Tauroi stuff in Godbeasts has me inspired! Oh, there is Shartor on the bottom picture. He was made with a handful of Ogre Kingdoms bitz. The joy of having too many armies. You can always cannibalize them each time. First picture shows what the Stormcast were facing. Second picture shows the battle lines, and the Daemon Prince of Khorne going Ratslaying. Those treacherous creatures! For their treachery, the Clan Skryre shooting did badly, very poor rolls for pretty much all of their shooting! Poor guy. Third picture shows the big fight on my side of the table.
  10. Also loving AoS here. Nice to see some more Chaos going out to smash those silly little cities down. My Bray and Warherds will be happy to trample all over them. Goodluck with the progress! That super banner on the Blood Secrator looks really bad ass. I'd be too scared to even attempt it!
  11. Thanks for the comments guys! @Tommy I sure did! I didn't want to go too crazy with blobs of junk all over the place. I went a little wild with that Blood technical paint on my Bestigor and Gor units when it first came out and I kinda regret it. I'll try to get some pictures of them up soon! @UrFrndJenn The Silver Tower Tzaangor made me hopeful that we may see another wave of God-specific Beastmen. While I still prefer my herd as being more Undivided/Unovertlytentaclyandstuff it would still be nice to have the option! Also, being able to safely send my Pestigor into battle with my Nurgle Rotbringers/Slaves/Pestilens without worrying about friendly fire from abilities would be nice! Either way, very glad I scooped them up when I did. >: ) The Pestigor have a really bad ass banner but I'm greedy and I wanted to save it for my Nurgle Warriors so I haven't used it yet. Luckily, that ungor banner had the three heads so seemed fitting!
  12. I'm sure they deserved it. >: )
  13. I'm really diggin' 'em. They look creepy, especially the second and third pictures. I think I like those conversions too - some of them not QUITE the loping creature that their bretren are.
  14. Damn, that will be a pretty smokin' Warshrine.
  15. That guy is a beast! Really dig it. I'm not that great of a painter so I have no tips. I just wanted to fawn over him.
  16. I was looking at these guys again, and realized I NEED to get mine on round bases. Those rounds really give those Warriors some character. They seem much more menacing, to me at least. More more!
  17. Greetings! I've never really made a blog like this before so I'm certain I'll break something. My Beastmen are nearly complete. I'll soon put up pictures of those that are already finished, however I wanted to get these guys up. Being the first to defecate on an enemy standard is a mark of pride amongst the Gor-kin. However, the Pestigor take great pains to ensure only the most prized ****** mark their banners. My Bestigor are a mix of current and old bestigor as well as khornigor and pestigor. A majority of them are pestigor, which is fitting as my entire Chaos collection will be focused towards the Grandfathah! However, I didn't want to go too crazy with Beastmen as I still prefer them Undivided. So I put little bits of everything in them, but try to keep 'em natural as well.
  18. Man, I'm digging that yellow scheme on Khorne. Skin looks bad ass too.
  19. Nice to see some Slaanesh love! It is difficult to get some dynamic poses out of those warriors, but those are lookin' good. I find the more Chaos armies you buy into the more you can do to break up some of that drudgery - trying looking towards Marauder, Gor, Chosen, Knight, Hell Striders and similar kits to find the odd weapon or helm to make a model say "That's right, I am bad ass." I'm really diggin' the look of round bases, I may have to rebase my own Warriors again. -.-
  20. Dig it. Really like the skin tone and the armour plates. Blood effect is good too, not overdone like omgbloodeverywhere. Nice work!
