  1. Haha i know what you mean. I have my home to myself for two months which made me think I could manage it. But i do have 100 ghouls to do....
  2. I've always like the Flesh Eater background story and had wanted to make a force around Arthurian legends- initially it was going to be an Imperial Knights force for 40k. But with the new battletome (and Carrion Empire!) I realised Flesh Eaters were the perfect army! The Story King Arthur, the Once and Future King of Albion, was betrayed by she who was dearest to him. His betrothal to the daughter of a powerful baronial family was meant to usher in a time of peace and prosperity but he was betrayed. The father of the bride, a Vampire Count, cursed Arthur with delusion of the Carrion King. In the primal rage that overtook him, he killed his wife-to-be, thinking her to be an agent in disguise from her father's court. Believing his beloved to be imprisoned by her Vampire father, Arthur and his court of noble knights seek to free her and destroy the Vampiric Barony once and for all. The bases will be ruins of the capital of Albion. Chivalric banners and penants will hang from collapsed columns and lie torn on the floors. King Arthur, The Once and Future King, Arch Regent The Knights of the Court Dragon Base This first base is for a Terrorgheist. As it landed on the ruins, it split the floor below, revealing masses of skeletons and bodies underneath.
  3. I found the perfect varghulf alternate model: Dweller in the Dark It is resin (as in the actual Varghulf model), but I think with some green stuff fur it should work pretty well!
  4. Nice! Yeah I think your conversion is great, but I want my varghulf to be climbing on some ruins about to take off flying, so not sure the daemon prince kit would work for that. It is perfect size wise though.
  5. Amazing Varghulf! I'm trying to figure out a way to use a conversion instead of the resin one. I had thought an ironjawz warchanter with a load of flayer wings and spare heads/bits from the horrors/flayers kits, but not sure if that would work. Daemon Prince is great but i want something a bit more dynamic pose wise!
  6. I'm sort of doing halfway between the two- rags of bretonnian style penants and clothing as if they were a noble kindgdom 100 years ago before their king was cursed.
  7. Agreed RE plaguebearers- they're a great battleline unit. They're not damage dealers, but they're very resilient. Blight Cyst and blightkings are great unless you're going against any to hit defbuffs, in which case they're not really worth their points. And considering the meta having so many minus to hit stuff, i usually don't do blight cyst and go for drones instead. Playing someone without minus to hits though, BC+BK are great.
  8. They had a horus heresy one out for xmas in their stores. Doesn't interest me, but I'd love one for AoS, particularly with concept art. Edit: found it on amazon: Visions of Heresy. Seems to be more a companion to the series with Art, but it's big and has lots of art...
  9. This is what's leading me to crypt horrors, rerolling all hits and wounds, in a unit of 9, as a hammer unit. Reliability is sorely thin on the ground for us, so this unit seems to stand out with the GK spell + their own warscroll abilities to re-roll.
  10. Really good to hear some practical experience. Ghouls definitely seem expensive, even at 40, considering what other armies get for 100 points less. But there some nice synergies to try out with bringing back models, buffing and getting them to have 5/6/7 attacks each.
  11. Just play somewhere else. This is the worst kind of hobby store manager- arrogant enough to believe he understands the game better than literally every other AoS community on the planet who don't ban summoning to the extent that he's willing to make player's gaming experience qualitatively worse because of it. It's really worth looking at starting a group elsewhere.
  12. We're looking at holding a mini tournament for those that missed out tickets- likely on the 2nd March. Would anyone be interested? It would likely be 6/8/10 player, 3 games, though with a smaller prize pool.
  13. You're on it! We may be expanding to full 30-player capacity as demand has been so high!
  14. All tickets sold out rather quickly! If you're still interested, let me know and we will put your name on the waiting list.

  17. Makes me really glad to hear people enjoyed it, thanks for the post!
  18. Thanks guys! I had a great time too, great to meet so many nice AoS players all having some great game.
  19. A last minute cancellation means there's 1 ticket free available on our site https://www.badmooncafe.co.uk/product/war-in-the-mortal-realms-february-2019/
  20. Has anyone found it particularly powerful though? It's an 8" range- i always found them pretty limited in use.
  21. Apologies everyone, I wasn't getting notifications! You should all have received an email asking about sandwich preferences and with the rules pack attached. It's attached to this post and uploaded here. BMC_AoS_Monthly_RulesPack_v06.pdf
  22. Hey- absolutely- i'm wanting to run a range of events- right now we're doing a single monthly one day AoS tournament, but i'd like to do a narrative doubles event, perhaps all in the same realm with all rules in place, with scores for painting etc, along with a two day tournament.
  23. Hey Phil- Sorry not sure what you mean? The auction is just after our first event on saturday? Regarding battleplans- they're all in the rules pack!
