  1. They've already been willing to move units out of armies and into entirely different armies (High elf Sisters of Avelorn went to Wood Elf Wanderers with the update). This move broke all the synergies that they previously had in the compendium release. Moving a unit from Order to Chaos isn't much different ultimately.
  2. Yeah, its not like any of their baseline units have 3 shots per model or anything and wound on 2+ with passive buffs...oh wait...
  3. This really is a game changer for Swifthawk, esp since the Archmage on Dragon can be brought into the faction (through the battalion). Hmm.....
  4. So, in the comments of our show this week and in the Facebook group I suggested that we might be looking at a Death-aligned Shadowkin faction under Malarion or Morathi. Obviously the pattern looks dark aelves/shadowkin but the purple is that of the priests of Morr and similar death aligned stuff from prior lines. The gems obviously look aelven. Narratively, my rationale was that the turn towards Death makes a lot of sense. With so many elves having perished and slaanesh having bloated himself with elf souls, it would make sense for Malerion, after capturing Slaanesh, to try to extract the souls of the aelves from slaanesh, hence the return-them-at-all-costs turn towards Death (manipulation of death magic). They would likely have an affinity for ethereal undead, which has a close tie with shadow (Malerion's home and power source). Functionally, this would expand Death (much needed) and give them "living allies" that breaks up the Nagash unified dominance of the faction. Interestingly, a source seemingly in the know said I was really close. I bantered a bit with them but they ultimately said they couldn't say more but to check out the Mistweaver from Silver Tower more closely because there are hints there. Then I looked at the mist coming out of the staff (posted by another person), see below. This theory might have some legs. So, Death-aligned shadowkin coming to a store near you in the coming (6?) months (maybe?).
  5. This week Vince and I are joined by @stevewren and we are talking all things Papa Nurgle. The great grandfather is bringing gifts, but do we want them? You also get a glimpse of some new Nurgle-ly conversions I'm currently working on. Come check it out!
  6. But they didn't. I took a screen capture of the scrolls exact stats with updated keyword. It is the old scroll (with new keyword) and 200 points. Possibly, but this will just move the meta so that some other tactic like alpha strike charges is the dominant competitive tactic. Although, if this is the case, it make no sense why the Reavers were untouched. They are the top of shootiness, low costed, and high mobility. It doesn't get better than Reavers (and now they can be 2+ to wound with stacked Skywardens).
  7. It has to be that some wires were crossed with Shadow Warriors. They have the same wording ("Battleline if... etc"). It makes me wonder if this is a proverbial coding "copy-paste" error and what we're seeing hasn't been proofed (and wasn't supposed to go public yet). If they knock them back down to 120, I think they would be sufficiently competitive for what they are supposed to do. The faction as a whole still has lackluster synergy (where is that Seahelm on foot with his command ability...) but they would at least be properly costed.
  8. Nope, 200 for 10. Just double checked. Ironically, they are fulfilling the identical place and point cost of Shadow Warriors with a worse set of attacks and questionable abilities :-/ This must be a mistake.
  9. Yes. 200 points for 10. Battleline if mono-Swifthawk. Same as Shadow Warriors.
  10. Don't get ahead of yourself. It is still pretty terrible with fairly lackluster synergy and command abilities.
  11. You think that's bad? Spireguard at 200 are competing with Reavers for Swifthawk battleline, who have the same number of wounds and save, are lightyears better on movement, have 50% more ranged attacks and 300% more melee attacks...and are 40 points cheaper. W.T.F.
  12. Join us this week with our guests Brad and Andrea Schwandt, better known as Rhellion and LuckySixes, as these two titans of the twitterers talk with us about starting a new force for Age of Sigmar. As Christmas is just around the corner - many of you might be asking for little plastic dollies under the tree and we are going to give our thoughts for the best deals and best armies for Santa to bring.
  13. How, if you don't know the point value for a specific battalion,?
  14. I'm in a similar boat (although mine aren't painted and mine included WHFB). Mine was 65,000 points...last January. I even did a video walking through everything. I'm a bit afraid to do a recount but I'll probably do an update video again in January...
  15. Yeah, fanatic screens are the big issue imo and not one this force can easily get around. With all the destruction in the meta right now (dozens at Blood and Glory?), it would be hard to get the right matchups with this force. One change that I would consider making is dropping the third dragon for 4 mounted dragon nobles which could give you rerolls on the important charges, are smaller so you can land more of the strategic charges, give you a higher model count with additional heroes for points of power, and yet still are punchy on the charge.
  16. It's funny that I literally just put an Order Draconis list together, although I went with a little bit more balance, using some other aelven units for battleline and the 100 point heroes for little charging cruise missiles. I'll needs to think a bit more on the multi dragon list.
  17. They were definitely awesome!
  18. This week we have pro Fyreslayer player (83 games!) Kenny Lull on the show to talk about his (and our own) experiences at Holy Havok this past weekend. Come check out the show and join us for another evening talking all things Warhammer.
  19. Mc1Gamer had me on his YouTube channel today to talk about Holy Havok. Check it out below! I'll be on Warhammer Weekly with my cohost @Vincent Venturella and Kenny Lull talking about Holy Havok this evening at 9 PM EST for those interested in hearing more about the event. You can check it out on Vince's Youtube Channel or I'll also post a blog update with the video once we're live.
  20. Agreed! Think about how I feel having to always field next to his stuff, lol.
  21. It's part of our friendship. We've been gaming with each other for two decades now and our bickering sounds like an old married couple at this point. The contrarian in each of us won't allow us to agree with the other :-)
