  2. Except we get it every round. That's a good question and important for list building. Allies can't take artefacts, but is a hearald an ally or is the herald its own thing? I might try the weirdfist again this week, or do 3x rocklobberz allies again. How about troll hag? There are no points for her in the GHB. I think it could be strong with an endless spell and the 30" unbind to potentially blast weaker casters with mortal wounds. Edit: Just found the new points. Rogue Idol looks good as well.
  3. A unit can't be affected by the same command ability more than once in a phase.
  4. How about an endless spell that triggers (can move and/or grow larger) every time smashing and bashing is triggered? If it grows enough it turns into a rogue idol.
  5. I've had problems keeping units within range of the fungoid general's command ability. But being able to re-roll runs and charges with a CMP may mitigate this. We also play that the fungoid doesn't get a command trait. Is this correct? I'm still waiting on a wheelbarrow full of spiky waaaagh mines that brutes are chukkin'. If you miss with the shooting attack, they create 3" diameter smoking craters that are impassable and do mortal wounds to units within 3" in the hero phase.

  7. If your opponent sets up units too closely together you can easily be doing 12+ mortal wounds on average with a weirdfist puke portal™
  8. Or you could just bring a grot shaman to set up the portal or cogs for an extra spell. I would love to puke through a portal.
  9. Weirdfist only buffs foot of gork, green puke, and arcane bolt.
  10. Good thing we have 4 different waaaaghs available! Gordrakk, MK, Megaboss on foot, Warboss on wyvern. Brutes on +5-7 attacks! Can you imagine a boss smasha with 6 attacks that autohit? Probably too difficult/expensive to build around.
  11. I would certainly hope so or there is going to be some nonsense. We have two different waaaghs however (or three if you count a warboss on wyvern)
  12. I think you are better off taking two more units of rats, chrono cogs, and getting rid of the battalion and one of the furnaces. 120 rats in my experience is simply not enough.

I plan to play this week Verminlord with blade of judgement Plauge Furnace 3x Preist Arch Warlock 4x 40 monks w/foetid blades 2x plague wind mortars Purple sun Balewind The alternative is to take out the arch warlock and the spells for 2x10 more monks and a warp grinder weapon team. In the past, I've found the teleport to be very good for pestilens. Now with a re-roll to charge it is even better. No catapults for me. I used to love warp lightning cannon, but arch warlock on balewind is the same price and much more consistent. The second cast is very valuable.

    Well done. My Archaon is also painted in an alternative scheme and I appreciate what can be done with the model.
  16. Your work shows the power of values. Get the values right and the colors right, and you don't need hours of blending for a great effect.
  17. Looks great. A swarm will be menacing. Mine are in progress, I have 30 done out of 130 (praise the rat) in an bright colored Mike McVay style. Got the furnace, verminlord, and all the allies done as well.
  18. And 3 mortar teams are just better math-wise! Which makes me feel bad taking plagueclaws. Also, they can hide in very small spots and still shoot.
  19. Yep. The only consideration is whether to run GUO as an ally. But that means no access to the Skryre I usually run (drill team, mortar team, warp lightning cannon) and I'm not sure if the trade off is worth it. I would have to take plagueclaws which are simply worse in all situations than 3 mortar teams and lose some rat bodies which are essential to pestilens.
  20. I've had trouble doing glowing eyes for tabletop in the past, trying two different methods. Any tips from your skeleton?
