would i be better off getting another Maggotkin SC (if i can find it) or get the new Vanguard box?

I just bought the Battleforce to start my SBGL army. I dont have the battletome yet so i have a few questions. I have the cursed city box too so I can reinforce the x20 Skeletons in the Batteforce box with an extra x10 to run it in a unit of x30. Do I need a Necromancer to go with the Skeletons? I am not a huge fan of the Necromancer model tbh, are there any alternatives to using a Necromancer? or is he a must when running a unit of x30 Skeletons? Should I bother getting more zombies to run them as a unit of x60? I see that most people run them at x40? I plan on getting Mannfred + a VLoZD too and already own a Coven Throne (spare Mortis engine from when my partner started collecting NH) EDIT: I actually prefer the Neferata model, so i might build her instead of Mannfred. Or magnetize if its not too hard

I managed to get 2 of the Broken Realms IDK boxes before they went out of stock to start a 1000 point IDK army in AoS3, I love their aesthetic. Volturnos, High King of the Deep (260) 1 x Akhelian Allopexes (125) 1 x Akhelian Allopexes (125) 1 x Akhelian Allopexes (125) 3 x Akhelian Morrsarr Guard (195) 3 x Akhelian Ishlaen Guard (155) Total: 985 / 1000 (I love sharks) if I ever decide to play 1500 I could add Leviadon or Eidolon + 1 shark. if I ever decide to play 2000 I could add Leviadon + Eidolon + 1 shark + 3 Ishlaen Guard. Probably not very competitive but I think it would look stunning.

15! haha, that would be a sight to see. I think Ill get the extra x3, I think they will be a lot better this edition.

While the Broken Realms box is still available do you guys think I should buy another one to have x12 Stormfiends? Or are the x9 I have enough? I haven't really played yet but I plan to play mono Skryre when I do.

Do you guys think Rockgut Troggs will get a Wound increase up to 5? It would be nice if they counted as 2 for objectives.

I think so too, they are "monsters" in Warcry so it will most likely get updated in AoS 3 too

I already have x6 Stormfiends but I am thinking of getting the new BR box to get myself a full Stormfiend Battleline for a Skryre force. Is there any point in getting another 3 after that or is x9 enough? I was thinking x6 Stormfiend, x6 Stormfiend, x5 Skryre Acolytes? or is that pointless?

I hope the Mirebrute Troggoth will be available for a Troggoth army, I love it!

I just bought my partner 2 of the new Broken Realms boxes as her intro to Seraphon (She loves Stegs) My partner also bought them not knowing I had already bought some. Should we cancel 1 or 2 of the boxes or is it worth having 6 or 8 Stegs? (Stegagedon?) We could always sell them in the future so atm we are keeping them but we do have time to cancel right now. EDIT: I am having a go on the AoS Builder and I think 3 boxes might be fun, maybe we should cancel 1 of the boxes. 4 boxes would be pure Steg (although that might be fun, I think adding a little other flavour will be better.) With the new Seraphon BR Steg boxes and this new Kroak I am very strongly considering starting Seraphon.

I think 44"x30" for 1000 point and 44"x60" for 2000 point games (like what 40k has done) would be a cool new system for AoSv3. Thats would be 1 Warcry board for Warcry.....2 Warcry boards for 1000 and 4 for 2000 points.

I have seen reports that it will be £125 for all the boxes except the Gitz and Chaos Space Marines which will be £120 (EDIT: now I am seeing the Space Marine and Astra Militarum listed as £120 too, which makes sense) I calculated the percentage saved if anyone is curious AoS KO - 34.2% Ogor Mawtribes - 34.2% Tzeentch 34.2% Gitz - 32.4% 40k Necron - 37.2% Tyranids - 34.2% Tau - 33.3% Astra Militarum - 30.6% 33.3% (EDIT: It appears as though it will be £120 so I corrected the percentage saved) Space Marines - 28.6% 31.4% (EDIT: It appears as though it will be £120 so I corrected the percentage saved) Chaos Space Marines - 26.3% (They should make it £115 imo, which would at least make it a 30% saving) For comparison, the Skaven Battleforce last year was a 34% saving Check this link for a value breakdown If these prices/savings are correct, I will be getting a Necron, Tzeentch and a Gitz (maybe 2) Battleforce this year.

I dont think so, the video said "Chaos fans in particular will want to tune in for the preview, with its themes of Decadence and Decay" I think itl be a full Chaos release.

Can Akhelian King and Volturnos easily be magnetised? I was thinking of selling the spare one I get with my 2nd Bloodsurf Hunt box, but only if he can easily be magnetised. Looks like the weapon and shield would need to be magnetised and the thing that goes behind them.... Might make it too fiddly. EDIT: Also, how many of you magnetised your eels? I feel like I should wait for the new book to make any permanent decisions but that could be a while
