Yeah no one in their right mind would ever max out Hearthguard of either type. They would have been better off at 80pts. 

I probably won't take more the a unit of 10 HB or AH depending on battalions

Well that will be amazing. One time use but still amazing...man im hoping the 2nd mega battalion is a tunneling based one lol but even if its not...the hordes of Vulkite are coming...

I am just starting to collect Fyreslayers. Which FB group?

Also, with the point reductions, it seems Ill need a bunch more Vulkites? Assuming a unit of 10 Hearthguard is plenty?

So far, Ive got 1 Start Collecting box, two boxes of Vulkites, two boxes of Hearthguard, an extra RuneFather and a RuneSon on foot (from an ebay lot that came with Vulkites), Grimwrath, and the two other Fyreslayers heroes that came in the Silver Tower main set and the 4-hero expansion.

Looking to see what else I may need... another Magmadroth?

Missing runes for the battle trait thanks to@Ben

Rune of Fiery determination: Fyreslayers do not have to take battleshock tests. Enhanced: if they die they can still attack.

Rune of Relentless zeal: add 4" to the move of all Fyreslayers. Enhanced: charge additional 4"

Rune of Far sight: add 8" to throwing axe range. Enhanced: re roll ones for throwing axes.

Just search Fyreslayers on Facebook there's a private group

You'll probably want 30 vulkites at least now maybe more!

I use ten hearthguard with lords of the lodge but looking to bump up to fifteen

What you have seems a decent start two magmadroths isn't a bad thing

One of my friend play à list with 3 units of Hearthguard at max number and it's quite scary

But how many points is that? damn near 1500 for the units of elite infantry? lol ill stick to units of 10 for specialist roles while hordes of Vulkites do the actual work.

Oh man those are good...i knew Fiery Determination was going to be something with battleshock, armor, or speed lol

25 Hearthguard Berserk near à héro and lord of thé lodge will pill-in twice, killing a fair amount of thing, while having a 4+ reroll then à 4+ invulnérable save, making them harder to kill. And They won't loose résilience with number, while being much more dangerous than vulkites.

Hé then use 3 units of Hearthguard ( around 20/25 each if m'y memory is good) with 3 runesmiters, unleashing à torrent of fire. Thé ancient bonus of lord of the lodge gave him the quasi insurance of à double turn, making it really dangerous

I love how there is runes for more or less every situation. Need that mobility to get quickly into battle/grab that objective? Rune of zeal. Need to hold that objective with minimal losses? Rune of determination. Enemies not quite within reach? Far sight rune. Treelord ancient ignoring you rend? Get more rend! And then couple generic combat runes when you're properly in combat and need to get those kills.

Ah, that's annoying the hearthguard are staying at 100 points. Means, with the adjusted points, the 2k list I was building to will be 2080 points now! Might just have to run a unit of 10 rather than 15 hearthguard bezerkers. 

No news on the new formations yet?
