Speed-painted Flesh-Eater Courts

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I photographed some of my FEC today.

This is the fastest and simplest painting I've ever done. I needed a mental break from some of the more detailed projects. This was pretty much a total zone out, relaxation project. I hope they came out good enough for tabletop, but this is about as simple as painting could get.

Thanks for looking.

The bases are really good, making the ghouls themselves stand out and "pop" without excessive flash.

How'd you go about painting them? Base, drybrush, wash, blood?

Thanks!

Would probably be faster undercoating white but everything I did:

- Black undercoat

- Fenrisian Grey total base coat

- Ulthuan Grey over everything

- Drakenhof Nightshade wash over everything

- Ulthuan Grey drybrush over everything

- Blood technical paint splashed around

The ghouls had way too many little bones and bits coming off the skin, plus their hunched-over positions, to make me want to paint them in a detailed way.

Looks great. Thinking about using your scheme.  quick question, wouldn't it be even quicker to use mechanicus standard grey as base and then ulthaun grey (step three) ? :)

Sure, you're probably smarter than me about it, as it was borne out of total laziness :P

haha, that's totally fair! but fenrisian grey might give some of the blue tone to your scheme. Anyway. I'll try both and see if I can make it, beeing even lazier than you :D
