polarbear
Hi all, I photographed some of my FEC today. This is the fastest and simplest painting I've ever done. I needed a mental break from some of the more detailed projects. This was pretty much a total zone out, relaxation project. I hope they came out good enough for tabletop, but this is about as simple as painting could get. Thanks for looking.
Dez
I like them! Sometimes you need one of those projects, and you can always come back and do some details later.
Zephyr
I think it looks really cool actually. Scary.
Double Misfire
Very moody, striking and spooky. Totally fits Flesh Eater courts (I probably wouldn't have been able to tell they were speed painted if you hadn't pointed it out), well done! Payce
The bases are really good, making the ghouls themselves stand out and "pop" without excessive flash. How'd you go about painting them? Base, drybrush, wash, blood?
Percivael
They look great! Very cohesive. A perfect army for this striking technique I think, what with their lack of clothes and armour!

Would probably be faster undercoating white but everything I did: - Black undercoat - Fenrisian Grey total base coat - Ulthuan Grey over everything - Drakenhof Nightshade wash over everything - Ulthuan Grey drybrush over everything - Blood technical paint splashed around The ghouls had way too many little bones and bits coming off the skin, plus their hunched-over positions, to make me want to paint them in a detailed way. swiftmus
Simple but really effective! Goes to show speed painting doesn't have to be a rush job to crank out something 'average'

tolstedt
Dot the eyes and they will really pop. Nice work.

Orruk'sPizza
I Like fast painting. Im a very fast painter. Its good to have a simple color scheme; its great when you are watching the board and you immediatly have the vision of your mins!!! But i dont Like the blood, too much confusion... MumblingsOfWar
The red really pops against the grey. I really like the whole monotone effect its produced, works really well for undead

Looks great. Thinking about using your scheme. quick question, wouldn't it be even quicker to use mechanicus standard grey as base and then ulthaun grey (step three) ? Anyway. I'll try both and see if I can make it, beeing even lazier than you
Mosquito onthe TenthFloor
Love this lot. Very cold. Very effective. Fast painting is great - I'm currently about to do something similar with my ghouls this week. Did a Varghulf in 30 mins last night, from undercoat to based! XReN
Looks very pretty andI love it. Also I wanna sacrifice you to the Carrion King for that, because I approached my FEC with a lot of patience and it took me a week of evening painting just to paint all bone parts
XReN
And because it's technically 2 colors it won't pass to highest painting score for my local tournaments so can't do something that lazy unfortunately
scourn99
Nice! quick is good I bet you could prime white, wash once, maybe twice, then dry ulthian and then blood to make it even faster
