Since I love to paint a model or two from different factions now and then it would be a instabuy if I could get it at something that looks like the UK price. There was a time when Scandinavians who didn't like British prices, would row right on over to 'renegotiate' a fair distribution of British production. The young are too soft these days. 2
Aeryenn
Unfortunately a lot of outdated models are staying but still it is a move in the right direction. Quite surprised that Sisters of the Thorn are leaving being one of the best models in current CoS range. 1

Acrozatarim
Shame to see pistoliers and demigryph knights go; I hope wel'll see eventual skirmish cav/superheavy cav replacements or resculpts for them at some point.
EonChao
I'm a little sad as the Shadow Warriors are already gone here and they were on the list of things I was considering for my Har Kuron army but hopefully they'll be back as High Elves in TOW soon. Still that should give us an idea of how many of the 54 units we're still waiting to see.
The Brotherhood of Necros
I hold out hope to see Seraphon Saurus Guard and now Flagellants as an Underworlds or Warcry update at some point in the future.

Quite surprised that Sisters of the Thorn are leaving being one of the best models in current CoS range. For me as a Cities player, the non-replaced kits are the ones I would have wanted to return anyway. The Steam Tank is an iconic Warhammer unit and the kit still holds up well enough. It is ornate enough to fit with the new Freeguild aesthetics, same with the Hurricanum (plus they just sold two of those as a double pack during Broken Realms). The Griffons are a cool big monster kit at an affordable price, definitely not the worst to keep around. The Battlemage kit fun with a lot of customizability. Flagellants are whatever, nobody ever runs them currently. It was never realistic for GW to update all 50+ cities units at once. But this unit selection signals to me that GW wants Cities to be an army of combined elf, dwarf and human forces, not just as a stop gap but as its identity. So I am looking forward to what that means for the future. 2 minutes ago, Grungnisson said: They spelt 'have to' wrong. All Dispossessed and Dark Elves are still in. They are already in legends since 3rd ed started. Or rather, in Limbo. They were never in any of the printed points lists, they only have their 2nd ed points in the app.
EntMan
So, i reckon my 20 Crossbowmen and 10 Sisters of the Watch are all going to have to pretend to be Darkshards? Can't think of other proxies that'll make sense? But glad GW have done this at last and given a bit of certainty. 1

That's even 7 new kits to discover ! Here are my predictions : Reliquary / War Altar (confirmed by 3D render, some clue with "feretory" name according to WarCom article) Artillery (confirmed by Whitefang and today's WarCom article) Elite infantry (strongly suggested by two-hand axe in 3D renders) Callis & Toll (confirmation with positive reaction by Whitefang ?) Warrior-priest (new model or Silver Tower reuse ?) Shooting platform / War chariot (Whitefang's recommendation to watch Darkoath's episode in Hammer & Bolter serie ?) Light cavalry (I'm running out of clues...) Anyway, what a time to be fan of Warhammer's medieval and baroque imagery ! 😍😍 2 1

I counted the 6 extra kits from your list not having them 😛 And yes it is a crime that they aren't legal and probably won't be released separately even though the nun is an absolutely amazing mini and should be turned into a full elite 5 man Order of Azyr priest unit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really complaining. The cull does affect some of my Cities stuff, sure, but it could have been much worse. And, on the whole, I also greatly appreciate the fact that they did put this article up. I just wish they could halp themselves every now and again with the BS spins. It's obvious, the new human kits are supposed to be the centre of this release. Eveything else is getting a shot in the arm, but we're most likely will end up softly disincentivised by weaker warscrolls. You could even argue they hint at it here: But hey, my dwarfified Hurricanum and Luminark are still in. I might even give it a little whoop whoop.

mojojojo101
Im kind of suprised they've chosen this point to get rid of the Phoenix units, would quite like to see those come back at some point, likewise with Demigryph Knights. Shadow Warriors always seemed interesting but no one seemed to take them and with the Wood Elf stuff gone too I'm not suprised theyre gone. Biggest suprise to me is that Battle Wizards are STAYING?!?!?! Might buy the Nomad Prince to use as a proxy for a Ghur/Ghyran mage. Also good to confirm that willl still have some version of coalition to bring in units from other armies.
