  1. Just finished my Emerald host, though I have another 10 Hexwraith making it a total of 20. Just qurious but how many Hexwraith for which general do you guys run?
  2. Congrats💪 Btw. I love how the Nighthaunt thread has become some kind of looses club, for all of us to meet and celebrate every time one of us achieve a victory. I wonder how things go over at Petrifex Inc😉. Do they have the same mentality or do you get shamed out for loosing a game?! Keep up the good fight and remember that it was people like us who stopped the Demogorgon🤪
  3. Im always listening in on new campaign og multiplayer missions. Be sure to post pics, rules and repport on how it goes. IMHO Warcry is a sandbox game perfect for creative shenanigans. In next month I too will run a campaign with 8-10 warbands, so all inspiration is welcome.
  4. Countdown till usual Rumour Thread moderation kicks in. Gaz in 10....9....8....7....
  5. Just trying to understand the rules of Wrath of the Everchosen in Order to forsee what might be coming our way too. So the Everchosen sub faction abilities means that you still get to keep Your original alligeance ability while adding rules to it. Correct? Say you play Maggotkin, you get to play with the wheel and also do whatever is added by the Wrath of.... book? Or is it more like adding extra hosts/chambers/skyports etc. for those factions that don’t already have them?
  6. Well depending on how you play the trees I think its by the rules to allow treeclimbing. I would even claim that tree branches and leafs are defined as platforms according to the core book. However if treeclimbing isn’t allowed, then I think it plays rather flat and pointless. Some victory conditions even require fighters to reach high ground, which would make no sense in the forrest.
  7. Well it’s not a bad way to tip the crazy scales of balancing without constantly having to make new battletomes. Don’t play chaos (anymore) but it seem that Nurgle got quite a hand from the Wrath of... book. But havn’t read it myself so its all based on what I heard.
  8. This is purely speculation right? Wouldn’t mind if it were true though.
  9. So whats the verdict, Seraphon next week or something not AOS related?
  10. So far I think that all Warcry non Eightpoints Factions are true to their AOS weapon options. That would make 4 different Blightkings and possible two more if they include Pusgoyle Blightlords. However that would be the first time a 60mm based warband model makes it into Warcry. So not sure they will do that. However if they don’t then beasts are out too. But either way its a damn shame that they seperated mortals and daemons. Was really looking forward to build a band of Tzeentch Arcanites that has bound a single horror or two to their will. It might be for game balance and that is all cool, its just a missed opportunity.
  11. Look Im sorry if I come off as insulting, Im just trying to put a little humor into the debate. I guess this is just a matter of oppinions. You know what that cool guy (from a movie I can’t remember the title of) said about oppinions right?
  12. Totally agree with you, and the podcast on this. As I wrote in my first comment this goes under the tweaking part of the book which I find an essentiel part of the GHB. So IMHO the GHB should mainly focus on tweaking existing rules and as I said earlier, rewriting warscrolls. Then leave the 5-10 pages for new narrative ideas which I suspect very few AOS players on a global scale use regularly. Now if GW decided that one of the modes example RoE is something they will really bet on, it too should be a standard part of the Fantasy Generals Handbook (working title😉), I just don’t like constantly buying a book filled with creative inputs when I feel like the last 4 I already own has way more inspirational content than I can ever use. Its like this Me: “Hey GW Im totally looking for a blue shirt”. GW: “Alright dude, we got one for you”. Me: “GW it would be nice if you sold some pants too?”. GW: “yeah well, we also sell a nice Marine blue shirt”. ME: “wow okay then, let me have it too, but what about the pants?”. GW: “You know how good you would look in this cobalt shirt?”. ME: thanks, let me have that also but do you even sell pants?”. GW: at some point we will, but untill then we got just the Ice blue shirt for you”. me looking back at my now blue wardrobe wandering if the police might think that I am an escaped convict: “Alright then Ice blue is my favourite colour, but tomorrow I will be back to get those pants”. 🙂
  13. Maybe it’s due to english being my second language or something but if I ever gave the expression that I am against creative inspiration let me be the first to throw rotten fruit at my own face.. eh or something. Im personally just finding it increasingly more pointless to buy the Ghb if it wasn’t for the point update, abilities n such.
  14. Actually I think it would be cool if the GHB spend more time on rewriting warscrolls thats clearly not seeing any use, typically due to being weak or pointless. After I read the GHB 19 I figures that besides the point updates and matched play battleplans the book has no more interessting stuff for my group. Sure there are some cool tools if you feel like doing narrative games, but even then we now have 3-4 years of GHBs filled to the brim with inspiration, funny houserules and battlemodes, if a player still need inspiration, chances are he/she probably shouldn’t play Narrative games.😉 So what can the next GHB really offer? Siege? Air combat? Rules of Engagement? all have been done and might prove fun for a while but to my experience these are all one trick ponies.🐴 More Matched play plans? We already have 18 or so to play, some might need a bit of tweaking but no extra tables or need to drag along yet another book just in case you have to play a bunch of new plans. Sure the world of players and oppinions might prove to be a bit broader than myself and my group of non competitive but matchplayerfriendly nerds, but man it would be awesome if the next GHB was nothing but tweaked warscrolls, points and tweaked rules for various ponymodes. Sincerly ‘yet another, forgotten by time’ Nighthaunt Player.
  15. So any wild guesses on the contents of the Maggotkin warband cards? Can only make it out to 6 options and that is if Pusgoyles make it despite being the first warband model on a 60mm base to join Warcry. Seem pretty slim.
  16. What do we know about the new rules for Siege? Also, the fact that Lady Olynder is a part of the story had me hoping for anything Nighthaunt related beside a bit of lore. Do we know for sure that only Chaos bennifits from this book?
  17. Ouch.. thats pretty deadly.. I like it😈
  18. Lately I’ve been wondering if the Onslaught ability is being used to much? What I mean is that I rarely have a game where Onslaught isn't repeatedly used by both warbands. The same thing could be said about Rush though it is to a lesser degree than Onslaught. Is this just my playstyle that's getting to one dimensional or is this a common situation?
  19. I would say so.. But not entirely sure. However I think that Warcry has these situations pop up every now and then that we just have to agree on on the spot. and Warcry being the fast paced simple game that it is, I much rather figure these situations out in the heat of the moment, than go through endless forums and potential FAQs to make it 100% right. Of course this style of play doesn’t work very well in a tournement😉
  20. 102 views and not a single comment. Oh well so much for trying to share some thought. Lets just go back to blaming GW for everything and discussing lists... 😕
  21. So anyone has any thought or theories about when Seraphon tome and the last Warcry cards will be out?
  22. Souldrain Forrest just got realeased and though I were ruluctant to order it to begin with I started wondering about the many ways you could define the scenery and now I am impatiently awaiting the forrest. But lets share some ideas. How would you play yours. Will you play the trees as dangerous or not? And what about the river? should that be dangerous or will you use any kind of house rules on it? Example. Slow down fighters. Can fighters climb the trees? If so how do they move from the trunk to the leafs as that would require the fighter to move through physical blocking sections of leafs. Can they move around leafs in all levels? Maybe you House rule that fighters ending a move action on the leaf platforms must take a falling test. What else?
  23. My thought exactly! Now Archaon will retaliate and the new siege rules will go hand in hand with the custom made (yeah right!) bone fortress.
