  1. Great great Minis but I am still very much looking forward to see the actual rules. Chaos Warriors was my very first army as well when I was 12 or so years old, almost 20 years ago But now I have a pretty big SCE army and am not sure if I have room for another "heavy armor, strong damage output but quite expensive cost wise" army. I hope the tome gives them some new tricks to justify me spending another sack of gold on a new army
  2. Yes!!!!This! I want a big bad cavalry army with backup by actual killers for Chaos Warriors by foot who put the fear in every enemy like they are supposed to. Maybe some other cool new models/units as well. Something like super heavy armored Chaos Warriors.
  3. In a Nutshell that is about my standard list but by taking so many Sequitors and the Phalanx you might lack some Damage. I usually take just one unit of 10 and one of 5. If you get rid of Phalanx and Vortex you can instead: Take Lord Arcanum on Gryph Charger (imho better command ability) Take 3 extra Ballistas for some ranged support. Alternatively 6 Longstrike Crossbows or a Unit of Retributors plus some more Liberators for objective grabbings.
  4. Love the color scheme! If you are open for C&C and to quote Duncan the Masterful, I would recommend to thin your paints more Also the grey armor could use one more very fine line of highlighting, to really make it pop out. But overall I like your minis
  5. I like the list and play a similar one sometimes, but without the allies. In this context I wonder if you have enough meele dmg output, as the only hard hitting units you have are the evocators and fulminators. Of course if the Ballistas do enough dmg you might be fine. But they will be subject to a lot of pressure and as you want them to be buffed by the Ordinator, they will much likely be located close to each other. So I see a risk of them being shut down early by enemy shocktroops/fliers/teleported units.
  6. The aesthetics. Dont like any of the AoS lore, its too high fantasy/other Dimensions/Hyperspace all over the place for me. Can't really imagine any of the stuff with all the realms and magic everywhere. My fluffy fluff place is 40k. But I like the models, I like the masks, I like dragons and hammers and epicly large shoulderpads and knighty dudes. So it was my army for sure
  7. This is correct. Since the rewording in the latest book it does not apply to the movement phase alone, so pile ins should also count.
  8. Well I have pretty much all the models, except for most Vanguard guys (except again for Longstrikes, which I have). I played quite a lot, but mostly using my Anvilhammer list or a Sequitor heavy list with tripple Ballista+Ordinator/Evocators But I just love heave cavalry so I would very much like to build a list that focuses on my Dracoth dudes.
  9. Thanks once again for the great job you did. I have almost no complaints, the only thing I would wish for was an app because when I play at the store I usually only use my phone and the web page can be kinda annoying to read on the small screen. So a more optimized mobile interface via App would be much appreciated.
  10. I don't know about the Sequitor discussion. I am still a big fan and for me they work pretty well. On the other hand I am not a big tournament player and mostly play random games in my store. But there they do what they suppose to do - in big groups and with buffs they take down almost everything and are just absurdly powerfull in dealing damage while being resonably durable. In small 5 man units they do work well as objective grabbers and from my pov better then liberators because they hold their ground better until support from Evocators or Paladins arrives. But I must admit I have not faced many Skaven players yet so...don't know. One of my favorite models of the whole SCE range are the Dracoth riders however. I am still thinking of ways how to implement them. They will not fit too well with my sacrosanct chamber build so I was thinking of doing a whole different build with Liberators to fill the battle line and 2 units of Dracoth guys plus the Celestant Prim on Dracoth as general. What do you think of list? Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals LEADERS Lord-Celestant on Dracoth (220) - Tempestos Hammer & Thundershield Knight-Incantor (140) Lord-Relictor (100) Knight-Heraldor (100) UNITS 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammers 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammers 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammers 2 x Concussors (240) 5 x Evocators (220) 2 x Fulminators (240) 6 x Vanguard-Raptors with Longstrike Crossbows (340) ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN Everblaze Comet (100) TOTAL: 2000/2000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 0 WOUNDS: 99 Knight Heraldor for charge buffing the Fulminators and Lord Relictor for Translocate. Only 6 Vanguard Raptorts due to points but one could think about getting rid of the Concussors and getting 3 additional Raptors plus maybe another hero? But I would love to have a list with a fairly large number of Dracoths that is still "competitive".
  11. What about the big guy on Drake? Would love to have him as a huge centerpiece model but he just seems waaay to expensive even in a 2000 k list. Do you have any experience in fielding him?
  12. Oh that is actually a nice trick - except that I would rather have a unit of Decimators, as I often play against hordes. But I totally forgot about the two star soul maces, so thank you!
  13. How about we start a WA group to coordinate games? I am almost done painting my first 2000 P of SCE and cant wait to battle proof them.
  14. Would also love to be added: Player Location: Hamburg, Germany Name: Nick / Naem, Contact: Best via Forum
  15. You are right, they are great against a monster heavy list, while the axe guys are much better against hordes and hammer dudes are the most flexible. Sooo what to do with my 5 man box? I already have 3 hammer guys from the starter set but there is no use in having 8 of them. But maybe I can magnetize the 5 new dudes to match all needs? Anyone has experience in that?
  16. Great Battlereport, was fun to read. Would you change anything in your setup or are you satisfied with how your list played? A question I am dealing with atm is which Paladins to play in my List. I usually go for Sequitors/10 Evocators and am thinking about some Decimators to support against horde. Or would you generally prefer the Retributors as they are better generalists?
  17. Maybe maybe, but I am glad to get 1-2 games per week in at my local store. I did some tourney runs back at the day and though I am a competitive guy it was not really fun because everyone was so result orientated (which of course is to be expected) and it seemed that we didn't even play Warhammer. We could just as well have had black and which wooden bricks with stats, run them threw an algorithm and determine the winner. I personally enjoy my "casual but deadly serious" games more ^^ And to be fair, my main enemies are Orruks who didnt have a book and StD who just suck
  18. Amazing, thank you! You really did a great job esp for me, who manages to masterfully craft lists with epic synergies and then forgetts half of it during the game Is there any chance you put the site out as an app?
  19. I must say I really like to watch battlereports and I noticed that I developed certain likings when choosing my channel. First of course the quality of video AND sound is important. I dont watch all the rep, I listen to a lot of it esp when I am painting. Nevertheless amazingly painted armies are important. A lot of times I just scroll to the army overview and if they are not well painted I tend to click elsewhere. It just is so much more fun to watch amazing miniatures being pushed around. Plus of course I have to like the armies - but this of course is very subjective. Last but not least the fun is important. If the players have fun themselves, make jokes, cheer for their dice rolls etc it is so much more entertaining to watch then the kind of "professional" games where they just push threw with their tourney routine.
  20. Well good thing they did, because otherwise I would not have returned to Warhammer after 15 years. I love every single model and they are in my eyes some of the best designs GW ever did. Plus I love huge shoulderpads, so what you gonna do
  21. And Sequitors are not only there to hold stuff, at least in my games they proved to be killer machines. When buffed correctly you have a 10/15/20 man unit, that reroll to hit and to wound, have 2 attacks each and hit and wound on 3+. Also in a 10 man unit you have 5 grandhammers (4 units + 1 prime) which deal 2 dmg each so potentially 20 dmg just from the grandmaces. Then you also get to heal the gang and even bring them back if you play Hammers. Dunno I find Sequitors pretty awesome and my enemies hate them. Esp. if they can't get rid of them in 1-2 rounds and then get hit hard by Evocators or other Paladins.
  22. Yes, I meant Empower. Would be amazing if you could include it
  23. Another thing I notices (but maybe I am blind) is that the Evocator's ability seems to be missing.
  24. Yap, they are usually a job for the 3 Ballista + Lord Ordinator Squad. Theres nothing better then the thrill of a final volley of 12 4+ to hit dice, knowing that any hit becomes D6 hits...oh how glorious it can be
