  1. I would prefer Fyreslayers, Dispossessed (splitting away from Cities Of Sigmar) and Kharadron Overlords remain seperate, however my wish for them to merge comes from a point of view that if gw aren’t going to bother expanding Fyreslayers then at least give them the other duardin to help them out. there is so much potential for fyreslayers new models -mini Magmadroth/other Fyre beast Chariots -mini Magmadroth/other Fyre beast packs (think Gryph Hound sized beasts) -mini Magmadroth/other Fyre beast Calvary (think goat riders from Middle-earth) -warmachines like a Fyreslayers version of the old Grudge Throwers/Flame Cannons etc -Vulkite Berzerkers with great axes (like the one guy from The Chosen Axes have) -more heroes on Magmadroths, like the Runemaster who was listed in one of the Realmgate Wars narrative battalions from a rules point of view -Runefather and Runemaster become Unique. The lore states quite clearly that there’s only ever one per Lodge. Either make them unique or disallow the Lodge rules when taking multiples. -remove Battleline from Hearthguard Berzerkers and Auric Hearthguard. In the lore, they come across as more of a elite bodyguard unit than the core of an army. -Vulkite Berzerkers get the old Berzerker Fury rule back, either on the warscroll or as an allegiance ability for the whole army. The damage save fyreslayers get is explained in the lore as coming from the Ur-Gold runes, which all fyreslayers have, so why do only some units have a damage save? -Ur-Gold mechanic like Aetherquarts/Aethergold. -Battlesmith gets an innate ignore spells on a 4+ wholly within 18” rather than needing an artefact, the rule would continue to apply from a unit using None Shall Defile The Icon rule. We need anti-magic and spending valuable artefact slots on our only defence against it is feels bad
  2. Agreed. Give us back our anti-magic banners! Just cause the humans and aelves are inferior doesn’t mean they should knock us down (I’m referring to how Cities Of Sigmar changed all the champion, banner and musicians to have the same effect regardless of race or unit)
  3. I have a suggestion for the next one (four actually 😛 ) for each Grand Alliance, which single army do people play the most, and the reasons why (ie look of the models, playstyle, competitive or not etc)
  4. Ironically, I’ve found a lot of armies that don’t do particularly well in 2000pts are great at 1000pts
  5. I mean, that’d be pretty cool though 😂
  6. Also if Khorne Daemons has shown us anything, if we do get plastic Blood Knights, expect them to cost more than the current resin ones. Assuming they stay relatively the same size, $124nz for 5 (Lumineth Dawnrider price) or 130nz (price of the new Slaanesh Seekers, although they’re on larger bases) is what they SHOULD cost. I won’t be surprised if they end up $200nz for 3 (Varanguard price) or higher.
  7. I suggest sending it to the faq team just to make sure the wording isn’t a mistake. Currently the command ability is once per phase, you cant use it on multiple units and you can’t activate it from multiple Ironscales. The question here is was that the intention or was it supposed to be once per unit per phase like these things usually are?
  8. Originally there was no counter to the Gristlegore always strikes first + Feeding Frenzy + the fact it didn’t count as an ‘activation’ so you still got to pick another unit to fight + Feeding Frenzy combo, until Slaanesh and the eventual errata I don’t really think Fyreslayers have that same level of op uncounterable stuff going on, and sadly what’s considered op seems to have higher sales and therefore higher player representation (not always the case and I’m not saying everyone buys the newest powercreep book just because it’s op) i agree about the defence playstyle, it’s why I sold the army originally because any victories I acquired were done so exactly the same regardless of opponents army or mission (previous battletome). I eventually bought the army again because I just love the models
  9. Depends. From a rules perspective, I think Stormcast should work similar to 40K Custodes - a massively low model count elite army (20 or so models), it would let them give Stormcast stats that better reflect their lore without making them too op i don’t know how you’d deal with the narrative side of things though
  10. Because Flesh-Eaters were the overpowered flavour of the month army at the time of their new book that everyone jumped on. That didn’t happen with fyreslayers as they’re easy to counter. additional, any army that consists of mostly old fantasy models has higher representation in these things than the new purely AoS armies
  11. Hmm that’s an interesting wording. Usually they say each unit can only be affected by the command ability once per phase, but this one right at the start states once per phase. Question for the faq team maybe?
  12. Wounds characteristic refers to the wounds characteristic stat listed on the warscroll regardless of the number of models in the unit, so in this case your wounds characteristic is 4 and therefore qualifies for the +1 save
  13. Not true (yet) for the Vargulf. The thing in Cursed City is not a Vargulf but rather some beastly vampire creature (unless of course they retcon flesh eaters)
  14. Most heroes don’t even have weapon statlines like that, they need to be paying a pretty decent premium for that and I’m not convinced 100pts is anywhere close to a fair value
  15. On this subject, I’d rather they change Look Out Sir to passing wounds off to a friendly unit, but I’d take the 40K rule over what we have now
  16. Cities Of Sigmar, Seraphon, Orruk Warclans, Ogor Mawtribes, Sons Of Behemat also didn’t get endless spells. Not everyone will or should get them it would seem
  17. The Lumineth battletome, my theory is that this stuff was all supposed to be included originally, but due to COVID they weren’t going to be able to bring out all the models on time so removed the ‘wave 2’ stuff from the book. I didn’t buy into Lumineth, but I’m still annoyed by a new battletome so soon as it sets a bad president for it happening to others. I also felt Slaanesh was too soon. I don’t think any faction should go through multiple books in a single edition (not including updating from a previous edition). Daughters Of Khaine battletome was fine as theirs was from aos1 (regardless of weather it was written for aos2 or not), I’m disappointed it didn’t come with new models however, and insulted that it played the unwanted stepchild next to the Slaanesh release (why no warscroll cards? why no single release Ironscale when Slaanesh got the Lord Of Pain? Why such low effort basic looking dice when Slaanesh gets fancy looking ones etc)
  18. Middle is one of the Ogors is it not? Bottom was the Nighthaunt hero? as for the flute thing, I always thought it was Flesh-Eaters/Vampires
  19. That’s fine, but they should fix the older small armies (Fyreslayers, Ironjawz, Flesh-Eaters etc) first, rather than the newest one i mean, to be fair, pretty much every army has more units than Fyreslayers but it’s still a bit of an insult when every new army gets more stuff, or even armies like Slaanesh and Lumineth getting a wave 2
  20. $300 us? That would roughly make the box $500-600nz
  21. Any changes to the Destiny Points x10 = matched play points?
  22. Yeah, unfortunately the 40K app is more important to them and apparently they don’t have enough people to work on both ;/
  23. Question for those who have the new battletome, are there still pictures where the Bloodwrack Medusa is clearly on a larger base than the Blood Sisters/Stalkers? the original battletome had some images and the Grand Alliance Order book where the model was on a 50mm base. My theory is that’s what she was supposed to have but they included the wrong base when they reboxed it and just went ‘****** it’ rather than changing it, and the base sizes document says 40mm because that’s what it comes with. I remember I think it was the first time they updated the document, it listed her on 50mm but changed back after people complained it comes with the wrong base (the same happened with some of the Dispossessed models too)

I’d probably be looking at taking dok units instead of the Executioner once warscroll builder has updated to the new points. im concerned, as I always have been with Order Serpentis, about only having two heroes and both being rather expensive dragons. I’m looking at starting a new army for 2021, Order Serpentis and Daughters Of Khaine are currently fighting for my attention 😂 I love reptiles, I want an army that can put out some damage and survive a hit back. I dislike the seraphon model range, the newer 2013 plastics are awesome but everything else is not. I’ve grown sour on the models after seeing what they could look like (see the Bloodbowl Saurus for example) and refuse to touch them again until they get a major update to the models. Additionally I prefer to focus on Saurus units and I’m disappointed that they aren’t as aggressive or defensive as I feel they should be. So I’m looking for something else. Just for a bit of background, I have Flesh-Eaters, Ogors, Fyreslayers, Seraphon and Nighthaunt armies (in various stages of completed-ness, most require buying some new models although I have enough to make lists and play with). Seraphon, see above about the models. Flesh-Eaters I’m sort of in the same boat as Seraphon, after seeing the Underworlds warband I don’t really want to touch the current kits even though I require 3 boxes each of Horrors and Flayers). Fyreslayers, I don’t know I guess I’m still a bit sour that we didn’t get new models. I still have a bunch of stuff to paint for them but just don’t have the interest or motivation to actually do it. Ogors, I’ll be quite honest here, I enjoy how they play and the rules but I’m not really feeling the models, they aren’t ‘bad’ like seraphon but I do think they could be much better. I’d like there rules with almost any other ‘monsterous infantry’ models instead, like trolls. Nighthaunt quite frankly just aren’t enjoyable, it feels like they’re playing a completely different game to everyone else these days where half their rules require failing bravery that basically everyone ignores these days. I feel the 4+ ethereal is overvalued and results in higher points costs and lower wounds values. In the past I’ve also had/played Spiderfang Gots, Squigs, Stormcast, Khorne, Daughters Of Khaine, Idoneth Deepkin, Dispossessed, Ossiach Bonereapers, Soulblight, Slaves To Darkness/Everchosen, Tzeentch and Ironjawz
