  1. The warscrolls book included in Cursed City had a publication date of October. Cursed City was massively delayed before any of the other stuff went wrong. I believe the Cursed City models and expansions warscrolls were always going to be in the Soulblight battletome, but the models would have remained exclusive to the Cursed City product line for a time
  2. If I’ve misunderstood then please disregard me here, but what? You want to give the skinny orruks in cloth rags the same save as heavily armoured Brutes because they have a shield? And in regards to the Bonesplitterz, I think it’s fine they have the same save as Kruelboyz. Kruelboyz are a little better armoured, sure, but they’re very thin and lanky while the Bonesplitterz are generally pretty muscular, so I feel like it balances out ok there
  3. I might be misremembering and thinking of High Elves before Lumineth, but I seem to recall them announcing last chance to buy AFTER they were already sold out
  4. Skeletons are the ‘basic’ troop while Grave Guard are the ‘elite’ Saurus Warriors are the ‘basic’ troop while Saurus Guard are the ‘elite’
  5. So during the pandemic, I did a little bit of research as I was curious about the lack of availability of Stegadons and weather it was worldwide or just us in NZ. So I checked the website for what I consider the major regions (UK, US, Canada, EU) to see where Stegadons were available - I was not surprised to find out they were available everywhere but NZ 😡 While doing this, I noticed some odd pricing, so I started comparing the UK and NZ price of products. I found that 2 kits the same price in the UK were not always the same price in NZ. The biggest discrepancy seemed to be the clampack heroes, which are more expensive in NZ than similar priced kits in UK (eg, at the time I did this, Space Marine Scouts and Primaris Captain were the same price in UK, but scouts were $64nz and captain was $74nz). Start Collecting boxes, monsters and big boxes (like Necromunda Ash Wastes) usually also had a higher nz price despite being the same price as other items on the uk website (eg Start Collecting Seraphon and the Carnosaur are the same price in uk, but in nz they were $165nz and $113nz respectively)
  6. On the contrary, in my local scene at least 90% of incarnates are 3D printed. Maybe gw cut their losses and scrap the idea
  7. The problem is, it’s the ones who need it least (Stormcast, Lumineth etc) that tend to get these ‘second waves’ 😔
  8. Then they should have ignored the comment (they don’t reply to everything anyway) as this just fuels fear and speculation
  9. The exact specifics are lost to me now, but I kept the 3 Draconith units in the sky and deployed the rest on the board. he chose to go first for some reason and moved everything up (he deployed all 6 Magmadroths fairly close together). I won priority and double turned him. Turn 1, I dropped all the dragons, breathed fire on some Magmadroths, and all 3 made successful charges. During the course of my turns 1 and 2, I killed 3 Magmadroths and had a fourth on 2 wounds left. Unfortunately for me, in his turn 2 he was able to get the 3 Magmadroths into me and as I expected was able to kill all my dragons
  10. I initially submitted my list via the AoS app, which for some reason doesn’t display Holy Commands on the exported list. I took Steadfast March, although as it turns out I misread how it works so it won’t help me in the way I thought it would anyway (I missed that it was a) a command ability, and b) happens in the movement phase. My intention when I chose it was to be able to make the Stormdrakes auto run 6 and then still charge.. )
  11. My ‘gameplan’ that has done well for me so far, is the 3 dragons deploy in the sky and everything else starts on the board (depending upon opponent, I sometimes put Krondys on the board so I get use out of him being a Wizard asap). Depending on circumstances, turn 1 I will usually drop the dragons, forming a ‘Bermuda Triangle’ around whatever I feel needs to die. Tempest Lords allowing me to reroll a single dice from the charge rolls does a LOT of the heavy lifting for this strategy. I think I’ll be aiming to take out his general asap, but I also probably want to avoid fighting too many of the Magmadroths at once, especially with Volcanic Blood. I call it the ‘Bermuda Triangle’ strategy because so far everything within the triangle has disappeared 😂
  12. So here’s an interesting one. 14. Some time ago there was that rumour of a Spiderfang-Warherd dual army box. The Beasts side was said to have a new Doombull and new Bullgors. im convinced that these Ogriods were the ‘new Bullgors’ that rumour was talking about. looking at the battletome leak, I’m concerned about Warherd going forward actually. The Bullgor and Ogriod warscolls are so similar to each other that Ogriods really do feel like a replacement to me..
  15. If it’s any consolation, the 40K dataslate says Q4 2022 so at least we don’t have to worry about that in December. The AoS one is late and should have been released in September, which means we should have also been due another one in December
  16. The base model and the big hammer looks like the Bastian model. The head, other weapon and the creature on his shoulder look similar to the Lord Imperitant
  17. Got a tournament coming up this weekend. Im only the backup in case anyone drops out at this stage, but anyway heres Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals- Stormhost: Hammers of Sigmar (Scions of the Storm)- Mortal Realm: Ghur- Grand Strategy: No Place for the Weak- Triumphs: bloodthirstyLeadersKnight-Draconis (300)- General- Command Trait: Master of the Celestial Menagerie - Artefact: Hammer of Might - Mount Trait: Celestial InstinctsKrondys, Son of Dracothion (600)- Spell: Chain LightningBattleline2 x Dracothian Guard Fulminators (230)*2 x Stormdrake Guard (340)*- Drakerider's Lance2 x Stormdrake Guard (340)*- Drakerider's WarbladeUnits1 x Stormdrake Guard - Single (170)Core Battalions*Bounty HuntersAdditional EnhancementsHoly Command: Steadfast MarchTotal: 1980 / 2000Reinforced Units: 0 / 4Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 86Drops: 6
  18. So with the new GHB, how viable is an all Treelord Oakenbrow or Battleline Kurnoth Hunters Heartwood army? my favourite models in the range and I can finally build lists around them, but it seems like the new GHB is going to cause a lot of problems for those armies
  19. Just to add on to this, when you check for control of objectives at the end of a turn, you check control for all objectives (including ones your opponent controls) but only the active player scores any points that turn
  20. Played another game with my Sons Of Behemat, opinion on this update remains unchanged. 2500pts vs Ironjawz, lost because of the extra vp he got for killing the megas
  21. My issue with this, is that when they stopped digital releases and included codes in the book, they put up the prices, I’m guessing, to compensate the loss of digital sales
  22. As a recent Sons Of Behemat player, I really hate this Battlescroll update. my games so far have been pretty close on VPs, and applying this update to my previous games would have turned every win into a loss, and every loss into a landslide loss. now as a Bonesplitterz player, I kinda like the Battlescroll update, but the issue has already been pointed out before - the armies that get extra points for killing the things on this list struggle to kill these things already and this update does nothing to change that
  23. How exactly do artefacts work for Sons, since the Tribes don’t really work in the same way as other sub factions can a Warstomper take the Club Of The First Oak in Breaker or Taker tribe for example (assuming you’ve taken the Bosses Of The Stomp battalion to get an extra artefact)?
  24. My argument for this is the same as it was for the Evocators mortal wounds - his rule reduces each individual dice to 1 damage, my reasoning is that each dice is a separate instance of the ability, or in the case of the Wurrgog he uses the ability multiple times
