  1. Yes because pestillens have the nurgle keyword and can be taken as normal troops, the battalion also has the Nurgle keyword iirc.
  2. Man those Skaven seem to be Nagash’s biggest nemesis outside his own pride. They’ve managed to screwdriver over his plans how many times now? why is ****** a bad word? I know it can have certain connotations but it’s also a tool.
  3. The betrayal was sort of in both sides so to speak. Nagash being the god of the dead believed that all dead were his to deal with. And he wasn’t too happy when he discovered Sigmar had been using souls of fallen heroes and righteous people to create his Stormcast. When the Chaos Gods launched their new assault at he end of the Age of Myth, Sigmar was expecting Nagash to come back him up during one of the battles with his army of dead. But Nagash instead stayed home in Shyish and let his allies lose the battle and subsequently the war. Sigmar basically went “fine be that way” and then booted him out of the pantheon. Creating Grand Alliance Death in the process.
  4. The interaction is that the wild wood becomes deadly terrain that would affect any Sylvaneth units that make a normal move or charge on, in or around it. If they are currently in the woods and don’t move, nothing changes and they don’t take damage. Teleporting units will also be unaffected by this.
  5. I Would yes because of those reasons and the death from above does not prevent if they are removed and set up on the same turn.
  6. Correct. Currently the only armies that can use the the Grand Alliance artifacts and allegiance abilities are the ones that do not have any of their own. But GW didn’t program their warscroll builder to take this into account and left it so you could choose them all regardless.
  7. I am not seeing anything to say that you cannot as far as I see. Unless there is specific wording in the KO battletome against it. Though as a note the units embarked that are not part of the battalion will not receive any of the benefits of being taken in the battalion.
  8. That is completely legal. There is nothing to stop warscroll prayers from being used by every unit that can use them. So far.
  9. This is more just pointing out that prayers are very similar to magic in that you have a limited number you can use regardless of how many your characters/units/heroes knows. Nagash can know every spell his wizards have on the table but it doesn’t mean he can cast them all. All this does is limit the number of prayers to the same as all other factions with priests and prayers. One summon, one allegiance prayer and one warscroll prayer. (The exception is of course the artifact that allow more than one.)
  10. It’s written out in the core rules FAQ or somewhere. @Isotop probably can find it faster than I can cause I’ve seen him answer about it before somewhere in this forum. I recall the wording is: When both players are setting up terrain features at the same time both players roll a dice and the winner then places their terrain feature first.
  11. It first depends on when you set up your terrain. Idoneth’s Gloomtide is before you choose sides but after objectives are placed. While Gloomspite Gits Shrine is after choosing side but before setup. If they take place at the same time then you roll off and decide who places their terrain first.
  12. Yes and No. If the unit starts its move in the range of the shackles and the roll to half their movement activates even with fly it is still subject to the halves move distance because it is a spell and not terrain. Flying does not ignore Endless spells. If you are merely flying over them from outside range or if the roll for halved movement didn’t work they can ignore everything about them until they stop moving.
  13. You can use Putrid offering once per each cast you make. It cannot be stacked. And you can use Grandfather’s Joy as many times as you have command points and separate units to give the blessing. If there is only one unit in range then only once.
  14. AFAIK there is no way to block a unbind of an endless spell. This seems to be the intentional weakness of having endless spells aside from the second player moves the first one.
  15. Yes a regular hero doesn’t have the same restrictions as a named/unique hero does.
  16. Skarbrand cannot use command ability himself because he is not allowed to have the ability, because he is a unique character. He would require another demon unit nearby to activate the ability to place on him.
  17. Yes. Balewind does not affect the look out sir rules.
  18. Really it’s just the fact of scaling number bias. 6sided dice are way too swingy to give any proper scale for statistical purposes. Each step up on the scale is a 18% jump in power. So any kind of reroll granted to a 3+ will always be way better than anything a 5+ roll will ever see even rolling all failed saves on a 5+ won’t be as good as rerolling 1s on a 3+ .
  19. The 6 into 1s does override the 6s are automatically successful because they are now a 1 and do an automatic fail. Its not quite a modifier so anything that rerolls 1s will work with the 6s become 1s rule though if it becomes another 6 after reroll it becomes a 1 again.
  20. Im going to say that this set: This particular set is what the coherence rules are for when you have to have your army running across those bridges but need to be spread out more that what they can provide.
  21. I’m not seeing anything either though nothing to say you can’t and I think there is precedent somewhere with another ability somewhere.
  22. It does look like it is mandatory since it doesn’t use any phrases to say that it is not. Usually optional abilities say “you may” or “you can”.
  23. For the most part it is allowed as long as your opponent agrees to it. That’s the basic run of these theoreticals is if you say you are placing a model in a certain spot even if the exact measurement could be difficult to impossible to be super precise as long as your opponent agrees with it you are good to go.
  24. No only spell and attacks. Blood blessings isn’t an attack or spell so it still has 16” range.
  25. If going to do that then it needs to apply to all priests in the game. Not just Daughters.
