ThalmorRepresentative
@LuminethMage Sure thing! I acquired the terrain from terrainify on the etsy web store. The cool thing is that you can get this terrain in any theme you want to help fit the board you're playing on. If you want, I can pm you a link that'll take you directly to the store. I still need a few more pieces, but the grand terrain set I want for my lumineth board is this: This is from dark fantastic mills web store. A little pricey, but worth it! 2 1
Akylas
I think I'm good if I'm understanding some of the other vows but just to confirm, is pledging to complete a partially done model acceptable?

I’ve seen the Dark Mills one, also great, I was thinking about buying that one, but the other one you showed was even more fitting in my view,

I'm pretty new to this group, but my understanding of it is that it's a good way of helping people paint, whether to give them motivation to get something finished, or get advice on what they are working on, or help people feel part of a community and share what they are working on as painting can be a very lonesome persuit, and it is something that can take up a lot of time. So to answer the question, I'd say yes of course. And there isn't a 'pledge inspector' or anything to come round and punish you if you fail, or I'd be in a lot of trouble ha ha
Jymmy
I use this threat to motivate me to paint, as I end up craving for feedback. Now I need likes to keep breathing... problems of being such a slow painter! Edited September 12, 2020 by Jymmy 1
Akylas
@Rodiger Thanks! I thought I would be ok but wanted to check. I'd be in trouble too if there was a punishment. I'm awful at painting in a timely fashion. For the month of September I pledge to finish my Ironjawz Warchanter, half completed when the range was still new. Stretch goals are one goregrunta and brute, both also partly done in years past Edited September 13, 2020 by Akylas
Praecautus
August was a bad month for hobby due to work and leave. September however has been good. I have made good progress on Star Wars rebellion - the imperials were completed done (89 models over 6 weeks) and I have painted 21 rebel troopers and 6 airspeeders. i hope this month to finish off the shield generators and ion cannons as well as the star fighters. I have also planned a new slaves to darkness list and I am buying the models in prep for the next project.
kaaras
So, some of what I have completed recently. I am building an Ynnari force with a small detachment of craftworld eldar but mostly drukhari, hence the dark kin weapons on a guardian. Storm guardians built, as well as 5 wraithguard. Not bad. Going to try for a harlequin death jester now. 4

Thanks, Sttufe! I think it helps that Lumineth kind of bring out the best in my paint skills. I've looked for the Asur AoS reincarnate for years now, and every army I've attempted till now has more or less been a stepping stone for me doing the Realm-Lords I paint some justice. With Sylvaneth I definitely found where a lot of my weaknesses in painting are. With Idoneth I discovered that my enthusiasm needed to be tempered with patience. Both were armies that I was never completely satisfied with after painting them. While I did sell off my Sylvaneth, I think everything that I'm learning when working on my lumineth is going to be very applicable to transitioning back to revisit my Idoneth eventually 🙂. It'll either be that or rebuilding a DoK army, but I plan on doing both in time. Rodiger
Got the snotlings finished. Just a little touch up on a few of them. I did a test batch of 3 of them for the scheme then just batch painted the rest. I didn't enjoy painting these that much, I never do enjoy painting the same scheme on lots of models, just ends up feeling like factory production line work. They were fast though and not as bad as I was hoping. Just the bases and the transfers left. Been a year of slow painting. Got my Lizardmen, Dark Elf, Skaven and now these Orgre Blood Bowl teams done, I have the Human and Orc team still to do. Not sure whether just to power through and get them all done or move on to something else.
Jymmy
Some progress (I have some days still to finish a bit more of stuff) The cauldron is gorgeous! I´m also happy with the result of my Anvilgard Executioners (third army there I go!) PD: yes, rebasing the metal executioners was a huge pain. And I have at this moment 6 more waiting to be sawed (sobs) Edited September 25, 2020 by Jymmy 5

Can’t say mine are 😂
Praecautus
Y wings. Nearly done with this box of minis. Even at this scale having them painted adds massively to immersion into the game

Are they sturdy enough with sand glued to them? Sorry, just asking cause I bought some plasticard as well for bases but it is kinda wobbly at larger sizes so I'm afraid everything glued to it would break off over time...
