  1. I won a trophy! ....for last place But got second place in best painted, which I am super chuffed about. Honestly, pure spiderfang is increadibly hard work, my list is not even close to optimal, which makes it even harder. Played nurgle with 60 PB twice, which is just an uphill struggle. Think If i wrote a competative Spiderfang its a 2/3 wins army, which is good and my level of play, but it wont run with the big boys without some luck. But it is one of the most fun armies I have ever played so would 100% recommend them to anyone thinking about it. Priority in the last game I might have won that though. Spiderfang seem more a drop in contingent in mixed destruction to be competative. 20, plus boss, plus arachnarok is a super killy combo. Add in chaff, artillery and another hitty unit and you have a solid list imo.
  2. Yes and a 4 up with command ability. Still doesn't help that much. Had 5 great games at blackout, but if you are gonna run more than 2 Arachnaroks, good luck, you will need it.
  3. No if you get a 6 or more to hit, not unmodified 6 so bonus's to hit help
  4. Yes you can get +1 to hit in death I think
  5. Read the description - carry a howdah, how you model it is irrelivant. Interpret it how you like just don't be disappointed if your opponents says not a chance you can do that. Only 1 of thsoe scrolls has the hero keyword btw, in case you had missed that. And you need the HERO keyword to take an artifact, possibly you missed that as well. Trying to argue something that clearly is not how the scroll works just makes you come accross as desperate to bend the rules. I hope it gets FAQ'd so it can take these artifacts, spiderfang is really weak and needs every help it can get.
  6. Goblin shaman riding on arachnarok, it's a mount. Don't be that guy. Great if GW Faq's it that the arachnarok can take stuff like this, but it can't right now
  7. Annoying as it is unless the scroll gets re written, can't see any way for the artifacts to effect the arachnarok. Its clearly the mount and the shaman has no attack profile.
  8. Playing at BLACKOUT, if your at that tournament
  9. Yeah so in the pics are Allegiance: Destruction Grot Big Boss On Gigantic Spider (100) - General - Trait: Ravager - Artefact: Battered Talisman Arachnarok Spider With Grot Shaman (280) Arachnarok Spider With Grot Shaman (280) Arachnarok Spider With Grot Shaman (280) Arachnarok Spider With Grot Shaman (280) 10 x Grot Spider Riders (200) 10 x Grot Spider Riders (200) 10 x Grot Spider Riders (200) 10 x Cave Squigs (120) - Allies 2 x Grot Squig Herders (20) - Allies Total: 1960 / 2000 Allies: 140 / 400 Wounds: 144 Ignore artifacts etc, and this is AOS 1 so unsure if points change anywhere. Spare 40 on endless spells Might drop 5 squigs to get more endless as I can cast them
  10. So as @Chris Tomlin mentioned I have been building a Spiderfang army for 6 months now. Some of you may have seen my progress over on twitter (#fromembertoinferno if you want to see more). It's a hobby project, rather than a gaming one, so teh army is not effective at all (in fact I am hoping to grab the wooden sppon at the upcoming BLACKOUT event in Cardiff). Anyways here are few pictures of what I have done with my army
  11. Final Standings from the event. Was a super weekend, weather was glorious, much alcohol drunk, much fun had by all. Next years planning begins!
  12. Was a super tight finish, another paint vote for you and you would have topped the standings!

  14. The Goblin tribes of the Molten Lavaswamps are gathering ready to descend upon BLACKOUT. Really good to see loads of cool names on the list @Chris Tomlin going to be a great event I am sure. My first summertime Cardiff event
  15. Yeah thats @ChippyRick 's death army, its a Meirce model I think, not a GW one
  16. Cool, will save hotel Friday night then and head down early Saturday.
  17. Ticket purchased, hopefully get a few more of the gang to come along. Is there anything on the Friday night? Or we will travel down on the Saturday early if not.
  18. Ninja badgers will return @Lhw @Drakira @Ninja_Badger_Rich
  19. Can honestly reccomend this a a 'must attend' event on the calendar. Scott hosts a superb weekend, its great to just rock up and play some casual AOS, as many games as you can fit in. I think I played 20 Games the first year I was there! Even if you don't like camping there are lots of BnB's in wool, or hotels in Wareham, 10 minutes drive away, but the campire antics and late night music are def something to stay around for. I know quite a few of the locals will be there this year, @Chris Tomlin @Cowboy Boots Matt @ChippyRick will all be there plus @#SteveJames will be on hand with his comedy tent errecting performance! So get in touch with @Scott_the_boss and get on down to Dorset for a really fun weekend.
  20. Plans already forming, for lab and mad scientist
  21. Looking forwards to seeing what you guys do for this project.
  22. Assume feedback can go here? Massive thanks to @Marc Wilsonfor putting on a great event. Location was ideal for the international idea. Venue was great, one of the best I've been to. Food was excellent, bar was a tad expensive, but to be expected at that kind of venue. Had 5 really good games, great opponents and nice to meet some new faces. Our team will be back for definate if this happens next year. Rounds went very well, no timing issues. Early start on Sunday is most definately something all events should look at. Well done to the 'Winners', and to all who got an award, see you next year!
  23. Great event guys, really enjoyed it. Anyone in the looking for a great 1 day AOS event, keep an eye out for teh next one. Venue is great, cheap parking, good food nearby. Friendly staff, well run, and a stream top table, what more could you want!
  24. Really looking forward to this now, going to be a great weekend
