  1. The more i play with a demon prince, the more i think it's a auto-include in the like of the bloodsecrator. I played against Ossiarch yesterday. Goretide general + dimensionnal blade on the claw gave to my demon prince (and only with a bloodsecrator around) in charge 4 attacks 2+rr1/3+/-2/3 and 4 attacks 2+rr1/3+/-3/3 The guy slaughetered morteks (in petrifex) left and right (between 9 and 12 per combat phase) like they were nothing. And the CA is incredible. He literally soloted 20 morteks backed up by a boneshaper in 3 combat phase. small base + fly and 12" move make him more mobile than bloodthirster, and not being a monster as well as having a 3+ save (so covert or look out sir) make him nearly as much if not more resilient in some case. For my mortal khorne army, which lack rend and projection (except bloodwarriors), he is incredible
  2. gloomspite gitz are probably the best for that Big trolls, medium trolls, goblins Big spiders, little spiders Big squigs, little squigs And little goblins everywhere It's the best "big guys surrounded by waves of small guys" army Also, Ossiarch Bonerepeaer. Katakros is a good centerpiece and is towering over the mortek guard.
  3. Give me a allegiance which give aura of khorne (sf std battletome) to a khorne mortal/bloodbound army and i'm ok. I literally ask for nothing else. For demons, an allegiance making blood thrones priests or bloodsecrator-like would be super cool as well And, feeling crazy here, a reliable way to have run+charge or fight first/twice for khorne armies, outside of very specific combo (such as goretide or the tyrants)
  4. i was thinking of a despoilers army with 2 daemon prince and belakor, and chaos knight/maraudeurs around, do you think it could be efficient ? I have a demon prince in my khorne army and the guy is just cleaving trough everything

  6. with his army, he do MW when he charge, MW at the start of heroes phase, MW when doing a 6 to hit for most of his army... During the entire game, it really add A LOT

  8. People complaining about GW balance should check the other games. Even the games where "balance" and "tournament play" are the main focus can end with complete ****** netlist that will break the balance harder than Bane crushed Batman's spine. Warmachine mostly died in a few months (despite being in a incredibly good position at the start at the V3) because they decided to release those stupidly overpowered broken theme force that were 1000% worse than their previous iteration. So much for "focusing on balance"
  9. Can also be applied to the entire stormcast eternal range. Sure, you could resolve most of the book problems by cutting price of 20/30% of most of the units, but who want 70 pts liberators ?

  11. Why did he played Karakros with petrifex elite ? His +1 save and +1 to hit buff doesn't work on them as far as i know
  12. I like most of your changes, but arkanauts having the same save as a stormcast paladin or a chaos knight doesn't make any sense
  13. How the hell did you understand that. The celestant prime has 3 attacks and gain +2 for each turn he spend in the sky. in each of your movement phase, you either decide to stay in the sky (so you gain+2 attack) or strike from the heaven (arrive on the board, no bonus anymore) If you arrive on the board turn 1, you didn't spend any turn in the sky, so you'll only have 3 attacks. If you strike from heaven turn 2, you spent one turn in reserve (the first turn) so you'll have 5 attacks, 7 turn 3, 9 turn 4, etc...
  14. slap +1 wound on every stormcast unit (+2 for heroes) as well as +1 attack on each weapon profile, keep the points as they are and you already made the army less pitiful. A liberator being worse in melee than a freaking plague monk is ridiculous. Not gonna talk about the freeguild general on foot hitting harder than nearly every stormcast hero as well... And it's an army that, originally, compensated it lack of deep synergies with a better baseline warscroll strenght

Most of the most powerful and cancerous list backs then, either the warrior chamber, the old vanguard wing, the more recent gavbomb, or the full tp sylvaneth as well as the kharadron clown car were based around teleporting and kicking you in the nuts without any counterplay possile. Like others battleplans that favor sorcerers (and hinder armirs that don't have them) or the one that give bonus to monsters, it's a battleplan made to punish one-trick ponies lists that rely too much on something specific.
  16. To have the +6" range bonus, the restriction is not moving in the movement phase of this turn. The movement phase didn't happened yet, so it's logical you can't have the bonus, since you have zero way to fulfill its conditions
  17. As someone who played skyborne slayers for like nearly 2 years straight : ALWAYS PICK STARSOUL MACE Always. No question asked. 1D3 automatic mortal wound (ok, it can fail sometime, but in average, it's 1D3 MW) against everyone, ignoring all maluses to hit, attack, or bonus save ennemy is just too strong to pass up. It will always be better than the axe, except if you somehow manage to put your decimator across 5/6 guys (good luck to do this with 5 decimators).
  18. Morteks are more resilient (reroll saves, not only failed and a 6++), count as 10 and not 5 on objectives, and have a close attack profile (slightly worse), but are 10 and not 5. Also, 25 mm base > 40 mm base. Also, stormcast reroll save work only if you have shields. If you have 5 sequitors with 3 maces and 2 shields, you'll loose your reroll save after the first two losses, except if you accept to put wounds on your maces and then lower your damage output by a LOT. Even if the sequitors had twice more attacks than their current profile, i'd argue they aren't that better in comparison to mortek.

  20. I'm surprised they only changed 3 models and the stardrakes+dracoline among all. Ok, those are nice changes but... feel like they thrown 3 darts to a giant wheel with all stormcast units and lowered the point cost of the 3 units that would be hit by the darts, nothing more
  21. Hello everyone ! How does the Hemdar comand ability (strike first) and the lords of the lodge bataillion interact ? Does that mean that the unit strike first twice ? Or does it strike first, then strike again but following the normal activation rule for the second pile-in/attack ? If the second activation follow the normal activations rules, can you use the command ability twice to strike first twice ? How does it is played out in tournaments ? Thanks
  22. People freak out about the Mortek Guard being 3+/3+ reroll but seems to forget it only apply in melee. Sequitors easily reach a 2+/2+ and get absolutely trashed on by gunlines for the exact same reason. Also, it work only in the combat phase, meaning out-of-phase activation (such as anvils of heldenhammer or khorne blood tithe) will absolutely slaughter them.
  23. Also, complete immun to battleshock mean your opponent will have to kill your guys to the last and hard counter bravery bombs. I'd also add than dropping 5" away is more than just easy charges, it also make it much harder for your opponent to prevent you to Land behind him. Also it's usable with every chamber or with staunch Defenders, unlike the gavbomb
  24. They are quite good. The most competitive build right now is a big block of 30 hearthguard in Vorstag that will delete everything it touch while tanking the entire world, but every combination and themed list, even if not "top 10 tournament worthy" will be solid, because there isn't any bad unit in the army. Even the runeson on foot and the doomseeker (arguably the weakest ones), are still very good for their cost.
  25. Well, the main stormcast chamber i've found is the warrior chamber( they have a mega bataillion), so i used this. They never use the name "strike chamber" in the battletome, which is even bigger, and in the same way, we talk about extremis or sacrosanct chamber, not "tempest" chamber, which regroup vanguard/extremis/sacrosanct.
