  1. This definately feels more grimdark then previous AOS. Like when 6th edition fantasy battle appeared and was all more mature black and white sketch art in comparison to previous editions.
  2. Is it just me or does it look like a corpse making up the "tongue" ? Imagine the head and arms hanging in the inside and we are looking at the back and top of the shoulders...
  3. I think we are all being had. It's just hobbits trying to sneak to mount doom.
  4. What if cruel boyz is simply the name of a unit that was described as opposed to the actual faction?
  5. The thing to remember with the "as yet unknown other force" is that it needs to be something generically appealing enough to be in the starter set for a game that will stay around for at minimum 2 years. And also be new and different enough to warrant it's own battletome. Which is a long way of saying give me fimir esc swamp monsters
  6. Please let the other force be even remotely Fimir or old Albion fen beast in style.
  7. Well there you have it folks. Dragon Ogors get a new model afterall 😉
  8. @whispersofblood Exactly! As I stated, I have no issue with it because I've been playing since the early 90's and nothing ever stays "Broken" or "OP" for long. But unfortunately, most will simply not enjoy playing against them due to a sense of unfairness in how they interact with the basic rules of the game. Is it right, No. Is it fair, Depends what side of the fence you sit. Is it going to happen anyway, Yep.
  9. I think perhaps my point would have been better expressed with the addition of "person A"/"person B" so as to make it clearer. With an audible sigh from person A in between 😄
  10. @JackStreicher I think you missed the point. Playing a game against a 5yr old IS a negative play experience because of the unfairness of the situation. (As a parent myself I've spent many an hour losing a game of anything with my son due to my needing to play by the rules whilst he gets to make up anything he likes on the fly with no regard for them at all) So the connection I was making is that, beyond just having an answer to everything they have one that removes basic rules we all have to adhere to, like rolling to cast, combat order, piling in, battleshock tests and line of sight. This in itself is the negative play experience. Counter play is something we will all have to learn. But that doesn't stop the situation being a negative one.
  11. As a pre cursor to what I'm about to say, I have no problem personally with the lumineth rules. I've played these games long enough to know there is always a way. With that said, from what I've seen here and heard from others, the NPE seems to come from people seeing the lumineth as being comparable to "playing a game against a 5 year old" mentality. Ie: I'm going to blast you/I'm bulletproof. I'm going to catch you/I can fly. I'm going to magic you/I'm magic proof etc In the lumineth case its: I'm going to cast/no your not. Better hope you roll high enough/dont need to. So battleshock/nope no need. Good thing im in the woods/I ignore line of sight. Think hard about your combat choice/I get to use both. That's going to be a really carefully though out pile in step/nope get to ignore those rules too. As all most people have right now is the rules on paper, rather then tabletop experience against the units in missions, these opinions seem unavoidable.
  12. Definately on the side of new black knights and graveguard coming too. As stated by others, it would be a way to release the knights from the "dual army" style and allow for a newer hexwraith kit more in design style with the rest of the nighthaunt range ie the dreadblade and mounted knight of shrouds.
  13. @HorticulusTGA Absolutely. really hope to find a unit that the brutes can count as just for an excuse to include them (sure the proce is steep but damn they look good)
  14. Literally made an entire shadow daemons of chaos undivided army based around the last be'lakor model so this just shot to the top of my "must purchase " list. As classic as the old pose is, the second one shown is so sinister and powerful.
  15. Treelord ancient/Durthu should gain access to a "mount traits/leviadon traits esc set of rules that give them more flexibility and power. Kurnoth hunters need the 2 shots on thier bows to be 3+ 3+ -2 with 2 damage to give them some purpose and give the army a rend option that isn't scythe hunters. Alarielle needs some "seasons" based abilities ie: each turn she can be in one of her aspects for +1 save, +2 attacks etc that has to be different each turn. And maybe add a rule that makes units charging her take mortal wounds (ie the roots and vines burst from the ground to protect her) As for the allegiance ability.....that's the tough one. What they have is not good enough. But go too far and it's easy to get into crazy territory where everyone complains about them *cough serephon cough*
  16. @Vasshpit love the colour scheme, really realm of metal or shadow
  17. And.......called it Well hes got a beard anyways hahahahahahaha Couldn't have been more wrong as it turns out.
  18. @Sance check out ajmpainting on Instagram for that exact conversion haha Personally (even though I dont do the army) I'd love to see Fryeslayer magmadroth chariots. Smaller magmadroth pulling a chariot with maybe two or three slayers in the back. Make it a skirmishing shooting unit. Would fill a huge hole in the model range too.
  19. If it's more of a throwback to the late 80's and early 90's ogors then it could be amazing as they had so much style and character.
  20. Also I'd say the big boy in the hero shot with Jelsen and the other two is indeed an ogor. But more in the body design and style of the ogor breacher from the iron gollems warcry team.
  21. I'd agree that the artwork is the four key generals to the wolf before they went batty (see what I did there?). The shield patterns they have under them coincide with some of the greyed out areas of the city. But I think weve already seen them. The grave digger obviously. The "undead ork" from the previous reveal video is actually, I think, the necromancer esc guy (the beards match exactly and so do the big cuffs on his hands) and it's just very close up photos to make it look bigger then it is. The guy with the halberd is actually now more of a white kings esc character, as shown in the new trailer ,that would likely be head of the city's guard (hence why he holds the gate location) And the kneeling character is likely the other vampire related rumour engines not solved by the crimson court.
  22. @Aleser That's one of the stormcast from Steelhearts champions (It's an underworlds warband)
  23. So.....just saying...I did call tauntauns....."y'all laughed at me! Y'ALL laughed at me!""
