  1. Zilfin does seem more of a logical choice, I just love the idea of them, it kind of reminds me of the sketch in family guy where peter destroys a barn and the Hamish rebuild it in seconds. Mhornar on the otherhand has the Haste of run the shoot, which is something im thinking about. Effectively Grand battalion gives me a free move in the Hero Phase then everything starts running and causing Havoc, Both styles appeal to me, but its just a difficult choice. Its a shame the command ability can only be used on the field, but with their playstyle, the companies will be on the field and he will use the ability really effectively.
  2. Ive had a good read of the rules and i have to say i really like the Sky Pirates. Im torn with decisions though, Barak-Zilfin or Barak-Mhornar. ~Im a lover of speedy armies and these both tick all boxes. I hope to collect a minimal Grand amarda, Zilfin get Endrinriggers in the Iron Sky batallion though which makes the decision just that bit harder.
  3. Wouldnt they be Bats? lol It wouldnt be too difficult to convert them truth be told, the dwarf ships are quite smoothe, get a bit of balsawood planking stuck to the sides... the orbs already fit, insert warp lightining cannon here...... Also could be "doomwheel" powered choppers now that id like to see
  4. I fell in love with the air ships, i cant wait to get a paintbrush to them. I really hope so, imagine a diorama for armies on parade with them both fighting in the sky, boarding actions and the like. I would so buy them as well
  5. I understand all the points people are making. The overlords are great models but painted quite badly (scheme wise) i think with the right balance they might look great. Though Dwarfs look after their equipment it wouldnt be flawlessly clean, there would still be dents, oil stains and the like. This weathered look would really make them pop. As far as the army goes firstly, its strange that GW create an "aetherpunk" faction after an Aetherpunk set in MTG. Secondly, they are a unique twist on the typical fantasy dwarf. much like the Fyreslayers. As GW are trying to move to more unique imagry i can sense more and more unique looking factions based loosely on the fantasy type setting. I think that when we see the "core" faction im sensing that we will see more stone like armour, the artillery and probably tanks, boar or goat riders. etc etc
  6. I like the Steampunk Aesetic. It Really appeals to my steampunk loving nature. I think what matters is the colour scheme for most of the models, if the metal was a darker warmer brown metal, with a few gold details i can see thes being amazing to look at. I just cant stop staring at the big ship and think, I want that. Seems the sevants of change need a lick of paint quickly for the Steampunk Dwarf Skypirates have commondeered my interest.
  7. Use the Path to glory rules and limit the number of units maybe. It gives you a fairly interesting campaign and encourages a small force to start with.
  8. I think from a narrative perspective it should be allowed. However the Pink Horror counts as slain and the Blue Horrors remain in the warband. Thats how I would do it, and associated costs etc so the warband will loose 4 gc of rating. As far as spells and pink horrors are concerned they only have arcane bolt and mystic shield. Yes they are a cheap caster. But in shardsfall, my ruleset, I have stated that while you can have several miniatures from a warscroll they all count as part of that warscroll and multiples of warscrolls are not allowed other than heroes. This would mean that only a single pink horror can cast while the rest cannot as you only have one unit of pink horrors. However this can be fun as you wont know which one will cast but thats just Tzeentch for you lol (could also be a random dice roll if the spell is cast and thats the horror that casts it). For the record I Play Tzeentch.
  9. I found this tutorial which seems well written enough, I may use newspaper instead of tissue for durability. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286080-tutorial-capes-made-from-tissue/
  10. I just hope they go as planned, Tzeentch Willing. I hope to make some on the palador mounts as well I really like how they look and can see them looking like suitable Tzeentch Warrior/Knights. Weapon wise ill probably look at the tzaangor spare weapons and shields.
  11. Im going to have a bash at converting some warriors from the storm cast. Like i said in my previous post ive been waiting some time to see some. My idea though is using the tissue-paper/newspaper plus pva to make some large and tattered cloaks for my tzeentch warriors. Im thinking of using the Shadow Warrior helmets due to the sleekness plus they have the neck part of the cloak ready sculpted. I dont see warriors of tzeentch being too grim as such, more like fallen warrior scholars. Similar to the Heide Knights from Darksouls. Im also waiting for the sisters of silence miniatures to be readily avaliable for other conversion ideas. Should anyone have any ideas how to do the helmets as the picture please let me know
  12. This has made my ideas for tzeentch chaos warriors possible. I was waiting to see a convertion of stormcasts to Chaos warriors. Do the knight shoulder pads fit nicely? I have plans for the paladors to become Knights Of Tzeentch as well
  13. I may do. I wish i could write things like that.
  14. This is great inspiration for warband creation.
