  1. Having an OOP army in the upper tiers is not feasible, and GW know it. The nerf is happening - no matter what you or I feel about it. Let's just hope its not quite as severe as was suggested by the previews a few month's back. Furthermore, dropping back to a normal (i.e. not weak) power level, takes the target off the Tomb Kings' back with regards to calls for compendium exclusions in tournaments, etc. I guess such players would be far more willing to tolerate an army with limited model availability, familiarity and "officialness" if they aren't competing at the very sharpest end of the scale. PS: In my opinion, TK's competitive feasibility has taken the limited number of models away from players who, you know, just like the Tomb Kings. Anyway, "ashamed" somehow suggests that these opinions on an online message board contributed to this situation in some way, so maybe you should wind your neck in a bit mate.
  2. I want to do a Tomb King army, so I hope they get hit hard enough to no longer be "meta" (i.e. the competitive players start selling on eBay), but not removed the the point of #notarealarmy.
  3. A new model for Galrauch? The art is an uncanny likeness.
  4. Didn't someone reliable (I can't remember who exactly, but maybe Lady Atia) previously suggest a new KoS is incoming? The current one is not quite as bad as the current GW GUO, but it's still terrible.
  5. I wanted them to make 40K 8th Edition on square bases, with ranked up Space Marines with pikes and stuff.
  6. And another post making that observation. Oh wait...
  7. For Tzeentch (and I assume the upcoming Khorne) is there anything at all to differentiate all-daemon armies (e.g. sexier battleline, etc.)? I had a feeling each God would become a faction rather than two or three, but I tend to prefer daemons to mortals.
  8. As an aside, I'm not a web designer, but that Warhammer Community website looks kinda amateurish to me. Unless its just my screen, the font looks wrong and there are gaps between paragraphs/photos that are either too small or too large. The "Quick Links" at the bottom are all over the shop, too.
  9. But Seraphon have loads of options yoo, right? I believe they only lost a tiny number of units as Lizardmen.
  10. Apologies, I was quoting a previous conversation regarding Silver Tower characters who have had nothing else for their AoS faction. I have no rumour info. One of the rumormongers did mention Skaven in 2017 though. Eshin would seem the most likely existing Skaven faction IMHO, but could be a whole new clan of course.
  11. Edit: Can't get images to appear. Surely the FW GUO is far more characterful than the current GW one? Ditto KoS. If we're going to cherry-pick, it works both ways.
  12. I have been ignoring the texture in the inner-cloaks up to now, but the yours have convinced me to give them another go. Are they drybrushed?
  13. TBH, I chose Scourge Privateers more for their maritime feeling than the beast element. The chariot is already a stretch for me, but opening the floodgates to all sorts of terrestrial beasts would kill the character for me personally. Many armies satisfy a certain biome (e.g. tundra, desert, forest, jungle, swampland, etc.) and to me the Scourge Privateer are, potentially at least, the aquatic-themed faction that WHFB never really had, aside from the presence of Sea Elves at the very beginning, unofficial nauticans and the ongoing in-joke that is the Fishmen.
  14. Most Daughters of Khaine are dynamic and thematically strong enough to fit the new aesthetic, and are one of more complete "holdover" factions in terms of their range. I think they'll eventually get repackaged on rounds with a battletome, but might not get a new miniature release. Darkling Coverns models currently look very intentionally static and regimented, and I suspect the whole faction will eventually be replaced or dropped. Scourge Privateers obviously have a very strong theme, but nautical armies (i.e. sea monsters, etc) are quite difficult to model in a land-based game with terrain bases. However, I heard a rumour that the Fleetmaster is in WQ now, so they might get a repack. Shadowblades are a cool concept, but a whole army of assassin-type models seems unnatural as they are an archetype that obviously relies on stealth. I think these two units, especially Dark Riders, are the most likely to get folded into the Shadowkin. Order Draconis are a strange concept to base a army around, and I don't think they will survive as a long-term faction. Either way, I think the Shadowkin will basically be a entirely new faction.
  15. Many seem to be waiting with regards to Fyreslayers. In fact, they are seen as an "expensive" army to collect due to the absence of a box. For some, Start Collecting seems to have become the new "normal" - aside for filling-in a few gaps here and there.
  16. This is an issue for GW now I think. Everyone waiting, because they assume a bundle will come out for any given new army.
