  1. I quite like the army so far. It's solid and it is really tough to get through.
  2. Anyone play the dragons vs. nurgle matchup? I wonder how that goes. Seems dragons can just play grabass all game and never engage.
  3. Yeah it's problematic. Honestly the problem for this tome is the 2.0 tomes. Power level in 2.0 was much much higher. But I struggle thinking like that because of just how universally strong the sce scrolls are. I do alot of tournament play so for me this will be a tough nut to crack. I think orghotts is an absolute auto include. Blight kings honestly are about 50 points overcosted. They lack the rend to get through tough stuff that they need to get through. We don't really have a hammer unit outside orghotts or morbidex.
  4. Not seeing how this army can play 3.0 and be competitive. Army wide 5++ may be of more utility after every army has been rereleased under 3.0 but our army is so slow and has limited mortal output. Ugh.
  5. Speaking from experience the maggoth riders are just not good. I just played in an rtt with a funsies list not trying to be competitive and while I had some chances the damage output of the riders for their cost is just obscenely bad. Drones with blades are insanely good but the rest are just horrifically bad in general.. Nurgle right now is like playing hard mode.

  7. I guess the ruling was made that max unit size is the original purchase size of the unit not the maximum size you can buy. Split split again says it can increase models above starting size but the rulebook says units cannot go above max size. So it's ambiguous. In the final round I guess it was sort of important and the to ruled against adding pink horrors. I think you can add/return pinks so long as the unit is below the max purchasable size of thirty models. But honestly I have no idea if that is right.
  8. I'd still sick with msu. I wouldn't bother with the six man units because coherency rules are just absurd. More small units allows more board coverage .
  9. Yeah I think the only game that went beyond that was his game with Kaleb. Bill really knows basically everything you're going to do.
  10. Ah missed the guild. I've been on an arcanum and conflag bender lately... Anyway, the lifeswarm is more problematic when trying to return horrors. Shackles is better because it stops charges into your line and stalls the enemy. Super good against gargants but meta dependent. Definitely try to get portal in, it's so good with fateweaver. Creating spawns won me two out of three games I won at the past gt. I like horrors as summons, I think the range on acolytes is better and they can get rend one without having to be in eternal conflag. You'll probably summon a chicken turn one. And probably a second on turn two. The acolytes give you a bigger cushion of bodies to keep your casters out of melee and pumping out spells so you can summon on objectives, fwiw.
  11. Yeah the emperor is a converted megagargant. The list is really fast so it can get stuck into gunlines and other lists like tzeentch and shut them down. Final round was against Kaleb Walters hosts duplicitous and the game really came down to it. As a tzeentch player myself, the flayers are a problem because of the mortal wound output. Of course the three man units are more efficient because of the coherency rules. You're getting every attack you can.
  12. Don't you need three battleline? Ally the skyfyres from beasts of chaos to save you some points. I'd drop the pink horrors for arcanites. The new rulings are saying emerald lifeswarm can't bring back pink horrors until the unit is below ten models in size, so horrors are better for summoning now. Plus horrors are best in duplicitous and conflag. If you're taking Kairos find points for umbral portal for the first turn gift of change into an important buff piece.

  14. There was an analyses done and the average points increase was something like 7.96%. tzeentch increased almost 30%. Yet cities and lumineth and seraphon don't get wrecked with the same type of increase despite being as good if not better already.

  17. Yeah I am still going to play EH/DG etc. I don't see why they'd be illegal, I understand the reasoning, just see it as an oversight. Then again, Ironsunz battalions are -still- not in warscroll builder or azyr...
  18. Half naked women running around in battle is illogical noise. Why would they go to war near naked? Hell, even real world religious lunatics went to war in armor. I get that it's fantasy, I just don't see a reason for this illogical, unnecessary peculiar aspect of it. It makes no sense. Christian soldiers wore armor, even if they claimed to believe god would shield them.

  21. New list to try out. If you guys could, give me some feedback. Going to try and pilot this until the Summer, at which point I'll play in a GT in Philly. Let me know. As for "why" the ZD instead of a second Terrorgheist, simply for variation. If I DO change out the ZD, I will probably look to juggle in another endless spell, possibly the barricade.   22. I think the trick is to ambush after the shooting army has its first turn. Playing against Living City alot with BoC and LoG, I've learned that the ambush ability of the army is really difficult to pin down. BoC seem to mitigate this by being able to ambush themselves. Not entirely sure. I think Nurgle needs and update and you will see some of the shooting lists take a back seat once they're updated.
  23. Counter fire can be very difficult. He can pop a cp to make anyone move after a unit shoots so arlielle can first turn charge after shooting is done. Rustfang is alright but the hero needs to live. Overall his list is very, very good at killing characters.
