Hey, I've been writing up my first 2k list for Cities of Sigmar and I'm trying to base it on a more mobile Greywater force. The idea for the paint scheme is Vietnam War flavoured, so I've tried to go as mechanised as possible. Any and all advice welcome Leaders - Steam Tank Commander (General) (230) Drillmaster Macroscope - Battlemage (110) Choking fumes Realm of Chamon - Cogsmith (60) Steam-piston armour - Cogsmith (60) Units - 5 x Outriders (100) - 5 x Outriders (100) - Gyrobomber (80) - Gyrobomber (80) Behemoths - Steam Tank (Battleline) (180) - Steam Tank (Battleline) (180) - Steam Tank (Battleline) (180) Artillery - Helstorm Rocket Battery (130) - Helstorm Rocket Battery (130) - Helstorm Rocket Battery (130) - Helstorm Rocket Battery (130) Battalions - Greywater Fastness Artillery Company 2000/2000 My own thoughts so far are I am torn between pistoliers and outriders, but outriders just seem to fit my theme better. Handgunners would also work but are just less mobile. I have no idea if Gyrobombers are worth it but the idea of painting them up as Hueys is too hard to resist.
I am not the most experienced player, but I like to compete from time to time in official tournaments. I play mainly destruction (gitz & jawz) and I struggle a lot against shooting heavy lists. In my group is a Skaven player who runs 12 Stormfiends, and another member rocks 30+ buffed up Irondrakes in a Tempest Eye dwarf list. And now, after what I've heard, was pre faq'd Tzeentch doing overly well in recent tourneys. Mostly with some cheesy strategy, in preventing the opponent from retreating from 10-20 Pinks and lighting them up with Flamers from behind. The most competitive SCE list includes the usage of Hurricanes by a lot. KO and Cities have a lot of shots as well. And the upcoming Seraphon and Pointy Elves release will produce also strong shooty options (by comparing the old stuff). Do you have any tips along the lines of good deployment, screening, going defensive/offensive. Right now, as my chosen faction, does not really have the option of shooting back effectively. My "gameplan" is to cast geminids and hope my stuff does not get shot off, before I reach my opponents screens. And then I get deleted, lol. I can only assume, but my guess is that shooting will be very prominent in the future. And maybe we can discuss here, how to deal with that meta shift. Or maybe in your oppinion shooting is fine and I just need to "git gud". Your thoughts on AOS is a melee driven game and should stay that way. Let's have some fun with it.
Hello, I am new to this forum and was just wondering what I could do with my Reiksguard horseback knights in AoS. I have about 20 of them and am a very much dedicated Free Peoples player, but I am struggling to find a use or 'count-as' ruleset for them. Any advice since Cities Of Sigmar is just around the corner? To make things easier, this is what I currently own in CoS: General on Griffin General on foot 40 Freeguild guard 20 Handgunners 30 xbows Helstorm rocket battery 10 Greatswords 3 Demis Luminark of Hysh Battlemage Bunch of SCE (although I don't prefer mixing them too much) So.. How could I incorporate the knights here?
