So my to prince is done ? And his story is on the Rise of Empires blog. My next part was the blood reavers. I have 15 done with 10 to go. I was dreading these guys but doing 3 at a time has been the making of them, I see them progress without getting overwhelmed. The little dudes have grown on me but they still die like flies.

This is the first family photo of The Faithful. And a close up of a couple, I am happy with them - I won't be ashamed to stick them on a table

10 of 20 stormvermin done. I gotta say they're a lot more dynamic looking than the picture on the box suggests. Pretty fun to paint actually.

My storm vermin arrived last night. Just started putting them together. They are so much more beautiful than the clanrats. So excited to paint these guys.

Your rats look great

All right.

Well, my pledge will be pretty straight forward: complete the models required for my 2,000 point Sylvaneth list. This means finishing my Treelord, 5 Tree-revenants and 10 Dryads. If I have a bit of spare time I will try to complete some Duardin AoS28 conversions, maybe even a few Chaos dudes.

Oh, and obviously if Steamhead come out I reserve the right to completely change my plan!

OK, so working down:

Treelord: about 70% done. Main things outstanding is a bit of bone work, the stranglethorns, the base and then all those little things you think you have done but you haven't!

Tree revenants: All done bar their bases and a little bit of work on the banner. The helmets are from the Wild Riders kit and fit onto the revenant bodies with a minimum of jiggery pokery.

Dryads: All done.

And just for fun a group shot:

Finally given that the new Overlords will not be released until April I should be able to finish my pledge and in addition the currently unpainted Sisters of the Thorn, and another AoS 28 duardin. The aim will be to get things tidied up and nothing to impede smashing out an Overlord army for the rest of the year!

Some really incredible work this month, proper impressed, keep it coming in.

I finished my tournament army and then sold it on, so the rest of the month is going to be very quiet for me as I wait for the new dwarves to release!

Looking forward to when you start on the dwarfs! Going for more purple? [emoji6] no pictures just yet but this week will be a painting blur as competition deadline looms. Also just grabbed a gaunt summoner and magister on eBay so I will see about maybe getting some battleline of test scheming on the magister.

No avoiding purple, everything I paint ends up bloody purple!

Stuck on a scheme at the moment but I want brass and a complimentary bright colour. Plenty of ideas going round. Still have your dwarves here for practice too if I ever complete the work I have on!

An army on parade pic, my son and I took his Seraphon army (with Nomad Prince guest) to our local GW on Sunday - here is the full host. It is surprisingly tough and decimated a death army and was ploughing through a Skaven horde before we all had to leave.

This was also the first time the army was all together on the tabletop :) We have since added a bastiladon aka Bash

I did manage to finish my Drycha which was my main goal and I painted a spite revenant :) and Slambo and a gryph hound but those were just for the kicks of painting something else than Sylvaneth in a while. Pics are in my blog but I could try and take a groupshot of them all to add here too :)

Managed to get a few hours of painting in tonight on a model I had forgotten about. Still needs highlights added and some work on the gore but I'm actually quite pleased so far. Painting individual models is so much more relaxing than painting units for tournaments! 45f4f296381ace5d9dc943a686474d62.jpg

One thing I will say about the tree revenants - lovely models, but definitely an advanced kit. Lots of quite fragile bits, and the instructions do a good job of telling you how to build the specific models they show but not how to do anything else (and there is a lot of other things you can do).

Anyway I had enough time to do a Duardin techarkana hunter for a little AoS 28 / Hinterlands warband that I am planning.

I'm aiming to finish 5 Slaaneshi Knights, 5 Blight Kings,  a Lord of Plagues, 5 Liberators 3 retributors and 14 highborn archers. Variety is the spice of life and all that!

Well the aelves and the stormcast are done, as is the lord of plagues. Just got to crack on with finishing the blightkings and Slaaneshi knights and I can get pictures up before the clock strikes.
