Sleboda
Second component of the speed paint army done. It's KILLING me to be drybrushing and skipping details for "later" but this stuff has to get on a table reeeeeally soon.
spidero
Loving the two different takes on sylvaneth. Both looking great. Personally I think the drybrushing looks really good. Suits the model for the barky bits. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
Lardidar
Good evening all. So I managed to dislocate a few fingers and have had to take a few days off...started back today and felt a little shaky but plowing on to get the force done. I have finished up Kholgorath number two...different flesh tone, I think I prefer the first but wanted three in different colors to make the same miniature a bit more interesting (also why they have a few bits chopped off) Also a picture of the unit While not strictly part of the 1k project I wanted a few bits of terrain and objective markers themed to the force, so I have my dried up blood swamp and some skulls for khorne. So what's left for the 1k? a lord, secrator, 5 more blood warriors (next in line), 10 reavers and 5 wraithmongers...Hopefully, that will give a nice rounded force to start to learn the game while I work on the second 1k detachment. Soulsmith
Nice work, looking forward to seeing the kholgorath in the flesh.
Kramer
Well I'm running a bit (or a lot) behind seeing everyone's progress. So don't expect to much but I'm very excited because... *drum roll* my last bits finally arrived! So my theme is a Greek/spartan slaanesh army from the shadow realm (I'll start a proper blog later) inspired by the curious fact spartan warriors spend the night before battle doing their hair and putting on make up and perfume. Bacause you gotta look good for.battle and/or heaven ? So here's my WIP(I'm looking to add capes later & rework some of the green stuff in the necks/wrists)

Thanks! and that was indeed the plan, well remembered. And then they released the kairic acolytes and I was sold . They have the greaves (I think thats what you call the shin protectors), amazingly dynamic poses and most importantly the 'skirts'. So I'll use these of my warriors. The plan is to differentiate the marauders with the chaos warriors with the capes. But to be honest I played a few proxy games over the last two and a half months and I don't miss them or miss a unit like them. So unless I get a more inspired conversion idea for them I am prioritising a couple of other conversions I have in mind: Daemon Prince/sorcerer/chariots and a couple more. Lardidar
Little advice needed, I made this champion with goreglaive but I'm not sure it's working. I could take all the washes out and just make it steel but it looked like it should be daemonic in some way. Soulsmith
I'd consider going the extreme and painting the areas around the teeth and the sort of stretched flesh as flesh! I've never tried to blend a non metallic into metallics but I think it would look awesome. Like nightmares sword on soul calibur.
RuneBrush
I'll hold my hands up and admit that I've been exceptionally slow on my 1k project. I'm working on my death army when I pop round to visit my Mum (she smashed her shoulder last November so still reliant on help), so progress is running at two or three hours a week (but I'm not far off assembling the first unit of 30 skeletons). At home I've been working on a Knight Porphyrion (so not AoS), but knowing that I need to paint up another 1k for Bristol Smash, thought I'd best get on with 1k of Bloodbound which just made sense to put up here. I got enough paint on my two Slaughterpriests to put them on the table yesterday so here's a WIP shot of them Saturday afternoon-ish. Since I took this picture, the Axe priest is finished apart from his pendant and mouth. The hackblade priest still needs his head done and the skulls and armour highlighted up and the black of the boots done.

Professor Clio
Took a little bit longer than planned but here's my 1k points of skaven. Island of blood set (using the battalion) + warp lightning cannon for 1k on the dot. Not my best work but looks good from 4 feet away. Now I "only" need to finish a screaming bell, 20 storm vermin, a verminlord and a couple more weapon teams to get to 2 k...

Dez
Finally! My Start Collecting FEC arrived...after 2.5 months. Anyway, I started building and I wanted to do a speed army...but no, I can't help but convert every model. Here is my start, a couple of Ghouls and a Crypt Ghast Courtier. I wanted them to retain a dash of their former glory.

swiftmus
I really like that winter Sylvaneth force, looks great! Here are the last 5 warriors to complete the unit of 10 in my Slaanesh list. Same as the last 5, but this time I did remember to get a back view as well:
