DynamicCalories Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Spent the night flat out painting after getting my new set of paints. I managed... a Lord of Plagues. Also basing my 7 complete warriors, 3 more are pre-detail and the last 6 are still on their sprues as I decide what to do with squad sizes. I am pretty happy with my Lord of Plagues, I based him on the Blight Kings tutorial but kinda figured my own thing out with a lot of stuff as I messed up a layer in the skin stage, and also didn't have all the right washes. Kuma Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 So progress since 5 hours ago, finished breaking of mantic bases and rebasing zombies, primed white, painted yellow 2 coats, painted green 2 coats, painted nihlox... and thats all i can do for today! more washes and highlighting before painting the bases! The spawn's base needs to be cleaned up a bit (was rushing since my newborn son was having a bit of a fit). I only realized it now after looking at the pictures haha. Lord Cedric Posted January 9, 2017 Share Posted January 9, 2017 So.. I'm in the middle of painting a Death army for Adepticon. Im in the 1000 point Vanguard Tourney as well as the 2000 point GT on Saturday. First ever Tourney as well as attending Adepticon. I have a large number of models already and about 1200 points painted so far. Only problem is I don't have a definite list yet. Which makes it hard to know what to paint next.Ive painted up 30 Crypt Ghouls, 3 Spirit Hosts, Mortis Engine, 5 Hexwraiths, 3 Crypt Horrors, 3 Vargheists, and working on 40 Skeletons, a Terrorgheist, and a Vamp Lord on Zombie Dragon. If I mix Flesh Eater Courts into the list, ill take Ghoul King on Foot. Ive came close in many games but each time it's a tough battle... mostly playing catch up. Won a couple. Im thinking of going zero summoning as i feel the lack of units from the start is quite a hindrance for my play style. With that said Im onto Clan Skryre as it is now as Im waiting for Tzeentch to be realeased. Hopefully the finish project gonna be a 2k Tzeentch/Skryre list and yes Im casual player and purely buy figures which i like (look wise) and yes i always lose hehe! It looks awesome when you've got the whole army together! As for my progress, I just finished the first warscroll! 10 Clanrats. Whoo... Just 30 more to go! Bases aren't done yet either, obviously. Here's what is painted so far:40 grots10 squig hoppersWarboss on big squigWarboss with pet big squigI am planning to add 10 more hoppers, some smaller bow armed units, cave squigs and herders as well as some even bigger squigs (manglers!) Haven't pointed it all up yet but that should put me somewhere in the region of 1000. Spent my day off today making the kurnoth hunters and tree lord. Not sure whether to paint them cherry blossom or autumn, what's people thoughts?
