  1. Tonight's painting has mostly consisted of painting bone and teeth! Something these guys are really not short on! Looking forward to gettimg stuck into the armour next.
  2. Making some decent progress on the gruntas! Really looking forward to having them done - there's alot to them! But lovely minis.
  3. After a loooong break mucking around with moonclan and stormcast and a couple of commissions, I'm firmly back into Ironjawz mode! Just completed my first 5 brutes for my 10 man hacka unit! Waaagh!!!
  4. Been slowly putting more paint on these guys, just building the armour up. Taking it nice and slow - it's actually been quite relaxing as I'm in no rush for deadlines etc.
  5. Thanks alot! You're a trooper (or madman) for painting that many! This batch I started lighter up my green scale, so the core/base colour is loren forest. The lips are screamer pink, pink horror and emperors children, each mixed with the base skin tone and a final plain emp children
  6. I've been playing around with a different skin tone - I aim to mix about 3 across the army for variety. Here's a shot of my medium green ardboyz - this will be the most common I think. Still v WIP, only finished bone, skin and faces
  7. Thanks alot! The runtherd head has so much character, I imagine him grumbling away at the younger ardboyz ? As for the skintone: Popped a bit of druchii violet around the lips and eyes too.
  8. Thanks very much! I've now fitted all 3 of them with them - should hopefully look cool when done. Small update - been working more on nailing down the colour scheme.
  9. I've had a fun day building kits! Got my first 5 brutes made up and ready for sprayimg and started my first goregrunta - really pleased to report that mt ork warbije tyreguard idea did indeed work, hurray! Will do some more work to make it blend in a bit more but it should look cool painted up ?
  10. Thanks very much, really pleased with it! Thanks alot! I imagine it will be a pretty slow growing army, got some commissions to do etc but will get as much time with 'da ladz' as possible Yeh that sounds pretty brutal! I'm thinking I'll do a bit more of a general list, using the bits I like the look of mostly.
  11. Bit of a start on tge painting! Had a go at armour chips. Pleased with the effect, may do a bit of light sponging and have a play at scuffs - need to obviously find a balance between setails and overdoing it!
  12. Cheers man! Not sure if it'll work or not but sure I can get something to stick. I Decided to try mixing up the poses of the big choppas in my ardboyz unit as it will be the main weapon of choice. So, like any good greenskin I got hackin'! ? Bit of a chore but once done should add variety.
  13. Absolutely brilliant. The green armour looks awesome - very original take on duardin ?
  14. Next up an allied orruk warboss with waaagh banner. With AoS2 opening up some fun combos, this guy seemed like he could be a fun pick. I wanted to keep an ironjawz aesthetic so based him on Ironskull from shadespire. He will have the option of a big axe or his banner, these are both on pins so can be changed out. He is looking a bit rough at the moment but with a bit of tidying up and a paint job I think he should look pretty cool. Here is is: Rasha I've also been having some mad thoughts about how I can spice up the goregruntas. Obviously slapping ork warbiker wheelguards on them is the thing to do I think it could look cool if I can do ti right and will add some of the main army colour to the front of the model and hopefully make the piggies look even more brutal.
  15. Hi all! I recently finished an orc blood bowl team commission for a mate (including some brute players) and liked the models and colour scheme so much I decided to start an Ironjawz army! With all the excitement building for AoS2, I thought it would be a perfect time to start mustering the waaagh! So far, I have a megaboss and the start collecting box and think I'll just let the force grow organically, no real grand plan as such. I really want to take my time on this army, make some characterful little conversions and do a nice paint job. I recently got 2nd best army for my Stormcast at SCGT2018 and would love to be able to take something totally different next year. So to get the ball rolling, I've started on a couple of characters. First of all,my megaboss, Hogga. I really love the model, but felt I wanted to add a bit more height to his profile. A megaboss has got to be seen by 'da ladz' right? I went for a boss pole - I still need to greenstuff bits to make the rope/chain banner supports fit and fill gaps. I'm not 100% on the head and left (his) shoulder decoration. The bloodletter skull is cool and all, but wonder if something else might help him stand out from the others - potentially a shield or helmet etc - thoughts appreciated! Anyone used different heads on their boss?
  16. Really excellent vivid colours on these - a nice refreshing change from deathguard green They are going to look a riot on the table!
  17. Extreme! Those maces stand out really nicely against the blue/steel! Keep it coming man
  18. I've been sucked in to the world of blood bowl and random commision painting, but hoping the new year will give me some time to crack on with some more AOS!
  19. Wow, you are prolific!! Amazing stuff as always, the beastclaws are just insane! ???
  20. Welcome back! Agreed...nothing too new for death just seemingly straight up downgrading! But unlife goes on. Mannfred is looking superb, nice cloak blends!
  21. What an incredibly fun game! Great to meet you and by far the best looking game of warhammer I've ever had - Oscar was also a great opponent, and just had an all round good time! Here are a few shots I took which show the game from a different angle!
  22. Sounds great! If you need an example to use as a template check out the grot spear chukka - has them growing on the front legs [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. Looking sweet! Big fan of mushooms as you know [emoji3] one possible suggestion would be to cluster some of them i 2s or 3s. Currently they look quite evenly spread if that makes sense? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
