@Double Misfire haha no worries! Yeh was a cheaper way of getting it, hopefully still turns out well! My 2k list is:

Lord-Aquilor

Knight-Azyros

Knight-Venetor

5 Hunters

2x5 judicators

3 Raptors (LS)

6 Raptors (LS)

2x3 aetherwings

3 Palladors

1 gryph-hound

1 gryph-hound

Aetherstrike Force

Not sure how it will get on, but love the models and a shooting army is very different to my usual horde armies ?

Had a pretty productive evening of layering washes to build up the armour - all above have 2 layers of seraphim sepia, judicators to the right also have druchii violet spot washes. After that I'll wash the whole armour with diluted gloss nuln oil to tie it together and highlight.

Bad lighting downstairs but hopefully gives you the general idea ?

Been having fun painting the animals of the army :D Not too much work to do on the gryph-chargers and hounds. Wanted the aquilor's steed to both blend in but also appear to be an 'alpha' of sorts - so added the white to the eye mask to help distinguish it.

Great work, how did you paint your azyrite ruins?

Thanks! The ruins were sprayed black, drybrushed eshin grey, then celestra grey, given an all over watered down wash of nihilakh oxide, followed by very thin coelia greenshade. After that I did spots of waywatcher green wash, then drybrushed it all ulthuan grey and finally added seraphim sepia in to areas that might gather dirt. I did a whole set within a day, really quick method, and lots of time to relax whilst washes dry :D

These are awesome! How did you do the gold? I like this more muted version.

Thanks. The gold is:

stormhost silver

2x washes of seraphim sepia all over

Druchii violet in recesses

50:50 nuln gloss/lahmian medium all over

highlight of stormhost silver

I love that you found a way to paint gold without even using any gold paint. Really impressed.

Thanks! Wish I could claim the credit but I adapted it from a tutorial I saw a while back ? All the best ideas are borrowed!

Why thank you! Sure:
basecoat celestra grey

wash nihilakh oxide

wash watered down coelia greenshade

drybrush/buff ulthuan grey

glaze watered down nihilakh oxide

the feathers follow the same recipe but keep adding coelia greenshade
