  1. I`m loving the Kislev preview, but for the me the most exciting thing out of this is the realization that GW is planning on producing new models for the Old World. I had seen the new maps and desire to build a new game system, but I thought that they would mostly try to leverage existing model lines (if they did I missed it) I`ve never played Warhammer pre-AoS, but I`ve been dreaming about having revisited/improved Bretonnian models. I had been crossing my fingers that GW would reinvent the army of AoS, but now it looks like more of a possibility for the Old World. I don't care really in which world they end up, if I get new Brets I'll be over the moon! I would guess that all Tomb King lovers would rejoice at that news.
  2. I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned before/I've been living under a rock, but on GW's website the Aelves have all been grouped under one heading - a sign of a new BoC/LoN-type battletome to come?
  3. YOu are probably right. Whatever they are called, they don't look like squigs. A few folks mentioned that in the video, at 0.44, we can see in the background what seems to be one/two grots (one a standard bearer?) on top of a purple mushroom - could be another addition to that family, whatever they are called...
  4. From a gaming standpoint, I think that adding a lot more units to Spiderfang armies is a great thing - it will give more diversity and make games more interesting. From an aesthetics standpoint, Moonclan and Spiderfang Grots don't look the same (similar to try putting Ironjaws and Bonesplittterz together) - hopefully there will be a few new models that help bridge that gap...
  5. Maybe not, maybe so... Usually Underworlds follows closely the AoS factions. The Troggoth unit does have some feisty mushrooms and some flying squigs - this is by no mean a guarantee, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll see a few of those in the new GG models...
  6. On the topic of potential upcoming Destruction battletomes: - my only wish is that, whether it be through their own battletome our a 'soup' one, Moonclan grots have access to Trolls. I like big(ger) units in my army, and the 400pts of allies can be somewhat restrictive. Whatever happens, I'll be running the FW TRoll Hag I've just bought with Moonclan, but I sure would like it if I could get to play with cooler allegiance abilities and artefacts... - I do not know much about Bonesplittaz, apart from the fact that they like to hunt big monsters and theat they already have a (older generation) battletome. Having said that, visually they are pretty similar to Spiderfang Grots - naked greenskins with a jungle-type look and a love of feathers. Combining both, an elegant solution to a) give a proper home to Spiderfang and b) expand a bit the range of the Bonesplittaz and give them some mobile and larger units? Just saying...
  7. I am confident that Destruction will get the love that it deserves. As a reminder, last year Death was in a similar state, with a lot of folks complaining (rightly so). The LoN book unified the smaller allegiances and made them playable/competitive at a tournament level; after that came Nighthaunt, a full blown new faction. I'm not saying that GW will take the same approach for Destruction. All I can say is that I am confident that Destruction will get a lot of love over the coming months/year. The previewed Troggoth and Grots Nightvault units, the Fungoid Cave Shaman, the marketing bits they are releasing - everything is pointing in the right direction. Getting a unified greenskin book would not mean that Destruction would not get a separate faction. For me, the question is more if they will release new Destruction products before or after the Slaanesh release (which, if the last two years are any indication, will be January 2019)...
  8. What has got me most excited is the last drawing. At this stage it is pretty clear that robed/magical Stormcasts are coming. We’ve had rumours of Stormcasts on flying beasts (I remember reading that someone thought that they were the most impressive GW models to date), but very little to support it... that last drawing does show a new type of dragon which is not a Stardrake. The Stormcasts have all types of animals symbols on their armor (lions, bears, etc), so this might not mean anything, but i dare hope that this drawing refers to a new flying mount for the SCEs... So, fingers crossed...
  9. @LLV: thank you for the kind comment! @Edgecoc: that would be cool. Not sure when GW will release another aelf faction, but at the rate these guys are going, it might be sooner rather than I would imagine...
  10. Always good to see other Stormhosts than the Hammers of Sigmar...
  11. The Stormshadow Crusaders (in honor of my favourite GI Joe character). Color scheme is dirty white and silver: Thanks for the interest :-) More info + photos in the link below...
  12. I was talking about the outfit (and use of tabards/robes/fabric) rather then he color scheme - I came up with my own Stormhost and color scheme. But thank you nonetheless for pointing it out, it is appreciated ;-) Well this might turn out to be one of the best AoS day for me in a long time. As much as I really like Idoneth, news of Stormcast wizards and flying units (especially if they are to be some of the best models GW made...) is Pure Gold for me!!!
  13. True ;-) But hey, it's fabric, so I'm down with it. ...and they do seem to have some 'back robe' (for lack of a better term) - similar to the Shadespire Steelheart model - in addition to the tabard. So maybe a cross between DAish and BTish ;-p
  14. OOOOOOhhh my - thank you Sir, you`ve made my day!!! i ADORE the look of those new Stormcasts!! I have been hoping for robed / dark angel-ish Stormcasts for the last 2 years and I am not disappointed! Cheers!
  15. Well, here's a rumour (kind of) for those who might have missed it: at the end of the What's New in December article, GW wrote: "Make sure you come back to Warhammer Community on Saturday for a closer look at these releases and even more reveals – there’s one, in particular, you won’t want to miss". From memory, wasn't Tzeentch previewed in December last year, saying that Tzaanuary was going to be a great month? So I'm putting my thin foil hat, crossing my fingers and making the prediction that a new AoS set of models will be announced on Saturday. It's going to be BIG! Re the new Lord-Celestant: 1) His face reminds me of Meatloaf (the singer). I am not a huge fan of the sculpt, but just to have Meatloaf in my team I might get him. 2) I'm actually looking forward to this new Lord-Celestant's war scroll - seems like he will have more of a defensive focus...
  16. Per WarhammerWeekly, GW confirmed that he's Nighthaunt - the live show just ended on Youtube, but I strongly recommend you watch it as Vince shared a lot more info than what is available on the GW community website...
  17. Forgot to mention: I like the fact that Blacktalon is a new type of Stormcast: "Neave Blacktalon is a new kind of Stormcast Eternal, of the Knights-Zephyros." Looking forward to the lore and special abilities (based on the preview, she would be an assassin of Sigmar)...
  18. That is quite a surprise, I really wasn't expecting a new box... Nonetheless I will happily buy one: - the female Stormcast alone justify the purchase, she is an awesome model (the only little niggle is that I'm going to have to green stuff some hair on the side of her head, my daughter doesn't like the punk/shaven look) - I was actually planning on purchasing another box of Palladors - I can make good use of an additional 5 hunters - I was wondering if I should start a Nurgle army (well, after I've finished my Tzeentch and Death armies...). The Nurgle fella on the slug is such a cool character, I love all the details and the slightly comical take on the character...
  19. I think that I've fallen in love... Man, that's going to be one tough cookie on the battlefield...
  20. That female Liberator remains one of my favorite GW models, I can't wait until November... Looking forward to trying out Shadespire, but the reason no1 why I'll be buying a few boxes of that game is that lovely lady.
  21. Indeed you should - thank you in advance for b****ing about the lack of new Death models...
  22. Good spotting, Mr Eagle Eye! Re "the least exciting" point, we'll have to agree to disagree - getting a female Stormcast (another one on top of the Shadespire one) is one of the coolest news of the year in my book!
