  1. -2 to hit from shooting and is it 3? missions of the 18 the give bonuses/required to capture for wizards or heroes with artifacts of power. Also gives me a hero within 6in to use IP for when the FLs are off fighting, 2 unbinds/dispells, 2 additional rolls at rampaging destroyer, and are cheap. I'm of the opinion that if you are rolling 1 of the 18 missions your list must have 3 scorers for when you roll arcane power. That can be any way you see fit but when playing mixed destro we don't really have access to reasonable battalions to get the extra artifact or a beefy monster wizard (other than troll hag and Arock).

  4. I have no idea why that one made it into the rules. For events that play straight from the book I’ll be showing up with a Magma dragon to start 9inchs from the other guys army... I hope my opponents owns a big and expensive monster as well or that will be a very one sided game. Worst part is if you lose the roll off you can’t stop it. That is by far my least favorite realm rule, at least spells you have to cast and can be unbound and realmscape is a chart to roll on so it’s hard to build a plan around them.
  5. I’d highly recommend incorporating them. I liked them when I played with them. Out of the book if 2 players do not agree on a realm it’s a roll off and then pick (50% chance to dictate realm), which I do not like (wish it just said if no agreement then randomize or no realm is used) but that’s an easy FAQ fix. If they turn out to be awful I’m hopeful gw will fix it. If they are awful and gw drops the ball then we as players can follow the standard set by B&G, Blackout, Facehammer, and Heat 1. 6nations as already released its pack and realm rules are not in play. IMO the worst thing that could happen is having countless packs that are all drastically different in what the standard is.
  6. I played 3 games yesterday with 3x frostlords... Those guys are my favorite unit in the game to play with. So fast.

  8. I held off re basing my Ogres for the last year expecting this. BCR set the trend of all Ogrish models on 50mm.
  9. Instead of Big Stabbas has anyone tried 2 allied Megabosses on Foot? Only 140 each... The way I read the Artifacts of Power from the Realms is that an allied hero can take them? There alot of good items that affect 1 weapon ie the Megabosses 6 attacks on 3s and 3s rend 1 dam 2. You can give one rend -3 and the other sword of judgement or whatever. Look out sir and 3+ save. few of the new missions have wording that heroes with an Artifact of Power count for 20 models. I think the below list comes in at 1920. Seems to cover alot of missions such as duality, 3 places of arcane power, and such while still having 60 arrowboyz in a rukk which I always start my bonesplitterz lists around. I have seen 13 of the 18 missions: 10 are most models within 6 (no auto cap), 1 is only scored by a hero with an artifact or a wizard (3 objectives), 1 is only scored by a hero or monster, and 1 is scored by most models within 6 but a hero with an artifacts or a wizard count for 20 models. 1 drop is nothing to laught at: I think alpha bunkering will not be as good but controlling if you want to get on objectives early or play for the double is solid.
  12. Assuming you have +1 to hit, 30 arrowz still does 22.5ish wounds a volley + 7.5 wounds per CP spent on the bosses CA. (Add in damned reroll 1s and a triumph if you have them) Say your playing DoK and they misdeploy. You can Krukk move + Hand for 33inch threat on the a unit of arrowz

  14. Mistake or no "Matched Play" and points are designed for tournaments. "You will find detailed additional rules for taking part in a tournament, as well as a comprehensive points-based system that assigns a value to every unit available in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar range." (Introducing matched play: pg 70 of the GH2017) Narrative and open play have plenty of options that do not involve points... take a look at the armies section of open play on page 14 of the GH, points are just 1 of the 5 options offered. Split the players into two teams, using one of the methods described below. 1. SELECTORS 2. WOUNDS 3. POINTS 4. CONFEDERATION 5. GAMES MASTER Legacy armies from 8th ed often do not fit with the current Warhammer Age of Sigmar range... those that do are in battletomes and I don't see a problem with removing ones that don't fit.

Matched play is design for a tournament setting and a lot of these old models are still sold on squares. The only reference to a correct base size are the GA books from like 2.5 years ago. A lot of these units will be repackaged in a new battletome. DE witches are both in the DE pdf and the DoK battletome. Its about time they start removing some of these old models that don’t fit the new aesthetic/direction from matched play imo.

  17. @Chris Tomlin if you were to run a list with 2 Maw-Krusha (One can be Gordrakk if you want) to a competitive event what would the list look like? I realize it will probably be very low in models and not amazing but I wanted to hear your thoughts.
