  1. That's fantastic! I want to do this for my Legion of Azgorh old school Chaos Dwarves (the big-hats). Was it with Photoshop? I have an old version of that.
  2. You can't destroy things with math!
  3. Hello, Stormcasters! I'm new to the army, wanted to balance out my Chaos with some Order, and make a force to honor my cat and old dogs and do some neat conversions (so they will have cat helms, and possibly convert my 40k Space Wolves megathunderwerewolf guys, because where there's thunder there's lightning). Here's what I have in mind with the current models I have: Lord-Aquilor (general) Lord-Arcanum on Dracoth (giant Thunderwulfen Wolf Lord) Lord-Arcanum on Dracoline (same as above, but brown) 3x5 Vanguard-Hunters 3 Pallidors with Javelins 4 Concussors (Thunderwolf Cavalry conversion) 5 Retributors (2 Starsoul maces, big Wulfen I made from old minotaurs and Fenrisian Wolf heads and Wulfen bits) Angelos battalion Is that a reasonable place to start for a half-decent Stormcast army? Or are those units just ******? I could use my chickens for Chaos knights of Tzeentch too. Mainly I want to use my cat helmets and dogs as good guys.
  4. So long as they don't ****** with the rules before the big local tournament in late October.....I need to use my 8 war engine army at least 5 times in 2 days!
  5. Hopefully no changes for a while, as I don't want to have to use mine as Slaves to Darkness instead of Azgorh.
  6. Yeah I like the standard bearer. No CP required for his help and I made old Astragoth into one, for which I’m sentimental.
  7. I like that extra magma cannon range though too. As long as Daemonsmith stays alive that is.
  8. Getting prepped for a big two day tournament in October. I’m planning on going with max war engines just because it’s fun and few people have played against Azgorh. Can’t decide on my last 140 points. I’m bringing: Daemonsmith (general/grotesque/armor of bazherak) 3x10 Fireglaives 4 Magma Cannons 3 Skullcrackers 1 Iron Daemon Artillery Train Im torn between a Castellan with the thermal rider cloak, the standard bearer with ignaxs scales, or allied Karanak
  9. I'm definitely gonna watch that video, with sound, while not at work. I want to bring my cat to games now too.
  10. I'll snap a picture of the toy mammoth I found. It's sufficiently huge; I think from some Chinese museum style toy company. Will for sure take some heavy conversion therapy; the top parts of my Skaven Gnawholes can be structure for the howdah. Gotta find something to start off a statue of Hashut for my ziggurat display board too. I have a toy in mind but hard to find....
  11. Ah, the Mommet; I kept one of those old Grot Shaman just for that relic! Gotta do some paintin'....
  12. I got a big plastic toy mammoth and plan to convert it into an AoS-worthy model. Super hard to find that old Forgeworld model, especially for a decent price. I usually see a Nurgle player using one, but one other time at Adepticon 2019 I saw another. I really wish someone would use 4 and do a battle report.
  13. I was thinking a similar idea this weekend. Was very close to ordering a Colossal Squig too, as they're -1 to hit. While I agree the Troggs don't offer too much in body count, they certainly do a bunch of damage and can hang in there with the -1 to hit. So perhaps later in the game they could take control of objectives. I think the big monster of the Gitz are potent and also just fun to use! What's the Loonboss for? Also, does Mollog have -1 to hit? He seems pretty meh to me, though a great model(s).
  14. Furies can be taken in that one Mercenary force from the GHB2019, I think called Skroug's something or other. Its the Gargant plus either Furies or Spawn. So there's a price of no CP generation for turn 1, but otherwise just allied points.
  15. I have been sorely tempted to make a single-drop Tzeentch army consisting only of Overseer's Fatetwisters, with Burning Chariots as battleline (herald on one as general), and 5 of the heavy hitting endless spells. It would probably be terrible overall, but to go first and plop that much magic turn 1 would be super fun! And definitely necessary to go turn 1 to get those endless spells off for maximized mayhem.
  16. Aw snap, I didn’t see the Lord of Slaanesh on daemonic mount anywhere in the app! oh wow and the Keeper only works on Hedonites. Back to the drawing board ....
  17. I have used Slaanesh Archaon (before the Hedonites book) with a Lord on Daemonic mount and regular foot Lord, so he can run and charge (CP for 6") and attack twice in the combat phase. That was pretty awesome, and I don't have the new Slaanesh book so I imagine it could be even more awesome now. But certainly a mortals focused Slaanesh army.
  18. I have: Scuttleboss (general) Webspinner on A-rok Webspinner on foot Troggth Hag 2x Fungoid Cave Shaman 3x10 Spider Riders 3 Rockgut Troggoths SpiderRider Skittermob Mork's Mushroom Scuttletide Very wizard heavy, but I like the Gitz spells, and I don't have another magic heavy army (until the new Tzeentch comes out)…… My friend says I should convert the Hag into a Spider-Hag with a big nasty egg-sack. I don't see how I can not do that now!
  19. I'm half done with my 30 Spider Riders, and am on the fence about keeping 2 Fungoid Shaman in my army and having 3 Rockgut Troggoths to Hand-of-Gork across the table.....or dropping 1 Fungoid and the Rockguts to have 10 more Spider Riders for a total of 40. I see people saying to have more bodies so maybe take Stabbas or Shootas, but wow they are so bad in minimum units, and if I take 40 Shootas I'd have to drop Scuttletide (which in my experience is awesome and annoying for the enemy, which was me 3 times). The Rockguts are sort of a distraction 'Carnifex' unit and pretty tough, and can actually threaten stuff. But only 3 models vs the 10 of the Spider Riders I could get. Separate question; is there every a good reason to be taking the Curse of da Spider God? Are there many enemies who will ever be hitting, wounding or saving on a 2+, necessitating an auto fail on unmodified 1s & 2s? Can't quite remember, was it just one of those actions to fail on 1s & 2s?
  20. Thanks! I’ll take pictures of my Tauruks when I get #2 painted up.
  21. Finally got some time to finish my last skullcracker and magma cannon. Those ogor Iron blasters go along way to making war engines! I have the really old metal whirlwind and tenderizer as my other skullcrackers so I thought a giant metal mouth would be a good variety to add to the mix
  22. Next time I practice I'll give generic Chaos a spin again, but with Azgorh. Last time I used it was when Sayl the Faithless could teleport my Bullgors across the table, and they could add +1 to charges for each enemy unit within 12". Oh those were the days!
  23. Interesting idea! Would one even miss the Blackshard Armor Allegiance Ability that much? Being a shooty force the Grotesque command trait isnt all that important. I have wanted to try out a grand Chaos alliance for my Skullcrackers and Bull Centaurs too to see if that +1 to hit trait could work some extra wonders too.
  24. This is silly and might be the most ranged mortal wounds I think any army could do, and all without spells! Not saying it would win a bunch, but I think it could spoil someone's day 400 4x Daemonsmiths (give 1 the Thermalrider Cloak) 600 6x Fireglaives 400 4x Cockatrices (allies, Monsters of Chaos) 560 4x Magma Cannons 1960 total, good for a triumph. I'm only 2 Daemonsmiths, 20 Fireglaives, and 4 Cockatrices away! Boy, Azgorh is fun to play......
