I'm now thinking that the November event will be our first look at the Death faction which will release in January.

Diving into a three race narrative alliance for my Warcry forces. A Legions of Nagash Wight force led by Heinrich Kemmler and Krell. An Eternals force converted to be the Lichemasters Elite Wight Contingent. Bat Swarms and Dire Wolves subbing in for Aetherwings and Gryph Hounds. A Tribe of Orruks who worship the Lichemaster and offer the corpses of their slain foes as tribute.

Should we expect more reveals in the coming days? I must know who the Death character is.

Looncurse was entirely new sculpts on one side and older sculpts on the other minus a new hero.

That all does look pretty Deathy. Though I'd like that last one to be a new Fabius Bile.

I like and agree with all of this. Also I forgot about Dieter's last form in the End Times. Real solid possibility there.

Settra just doesn't fit. The Forbidden Power Entity was a former ally of Nagash. If it is Settra who would be his Master who made him an army? Be a pretty horrible retcon to have Settra serve anyone.

2 things. 1: You would have been right about the battle box argument if it wasn't for the precedent setting Looncurse (The only battle box I can remember that had full new kits from a faction only several months old at the time) 2: It could still be a "new" Death faction in the vein of Daughters of Khaine (new models added to existing kits to create a new stand alone book) so could have all older kits with a new character. The use of Feast of Bones and Tithe of Bones in the two teasers also seems rather intentional. I'd love to be wrong and get some more Chaos stuff sooner but it's looking like Death vs Ogors to me.

Yeah by pretty soon I'm thinking next 3-6 months. The set could be existing dead kits with new hero ala Carrion Empire or be all new Dead kits on one side and just the Tyrant on the other ala Looncurse. If it's the Looncurse route I'd think it would be a bit farther out so they get the initial full price sales like they did with the Squigs.

Would think the new Death faction is pretty soon too if the likely feast of bones set with the Ogres is already being teased.

So existing Ogres with new Tyrant in a box versus new Death Faction?

I just want to know who was in the vault and what their army will be. Teclis and Tyrion's army too please. Will be back to discuss the two 2.0 updated books we're getting in an hour.

I'm expecting more than the usual event reveals just due to the backlog created by the Sylvaneth snafu.

Given the unique nature of the army (scrolls need to function in their own army and also seamlessly slot into 4 other books) I would think focusing in on the Terrain, Allegiance and Command Traits to make them stand on their own without breaking the 4 god books would be paramount.

I would love for them to grab all the Phoenix units from the World that was and expand them into a new faction in the way they did DoK. Add both units of Phoenix and a Monstrous Cavalry unit of smaller Flamespyres. Have them emulate the old Phoenix King tradition in a far more literal way. Could have a cool centerpiece leader model as a great burning Elf Lord with a similar style to the Eidolon models from IDK.

Worried about our gardening options moving forward. 10 pieces of terrain all pushed in 6" from the edges. Outside of 9" of enemies, 6" of terrain and 3" of objectives sounds like little to no room for Gnarlmaws.

Is the Ancient Evil released in the story? Do they reveal who or what it is?

I could definitely see the Endless Spells/ Terrain being exactly like that. I wonder if it will be mostly Aelven or will it be energy constructs etc with elite units being a new forms of recovered soul units.
