  1. So, that nobody is wondering. I corrected the way the pictures were implemented here. There was an error by drag & drop the picture in, the Picture got clinched horrizonaly if the window was smaller instead of resizing it to the smaller size. I didn't realized it at first because most of the time there wouldn't be a resolution that small (only in case of Smartphones) It's actually a nice thing for a fantasy world, that flora and fauna don't have to use realistic colors. ?
  2. Hey, that's a real good light effect on the reaver. Also on the Waaghkart. This model is damn impressive. In case of the Huskard. Is this the original base? I would have used one size bigger if possible
  3. Alright, a little more building. I got my order for 4x Sisters of the Thorn and 1x Sisters of the Watch and my plan building Sisters of the Watch styled Reavers worked. I didn't get them spears because profilewise it didn't make sense. In the profile they get them spears and the Champion has a sword (because this was the way it was with the Spire of Dawn models). But, the spear and the blade have literally the same profile (the blade has 1 attack more, but its because it's the champions weapon). There is no better range or worse To-Hit role like we often see with spears. The other 10 models (mostly the deers with the forehooves down make another 10 Wildriders Actually I started to paint one of them, because I switch him into the other unit. The point is, 7 deers with front hooves down in a single unit doesn't look that good.
  4. Hm, the Problem with the gladeshards is, you compared them with units of the size of Kurnoth Hunters or Blood Stalkers (these are the units Judicators with there 40mm Base could be compared at best). Monstrous Infantry stat normally has 3-5 Models for the cost. The right comparisson are Shadow Warriors, Sisters of the Watch, Gladeguard, Namarti Reavers( these are quite similar to Shadow Warriors). To Wound on 3+ you often need something like a Grandsword/Grandhammer/Grandaxe etc. I have seen many profiles for aelfs and most of the time 3+/4+ is the best you get if you don't have a Grandweapon (in that case it's often 3+/3+/-1) In case of the Chargers. A short bow with 9" doesn't fit. That the range of a Repeater Handbow of the Black arc Corsairs (and those have 5+/4+ as rolls.) There are two points with the Javelins. Stormcast Eternals are some sort of "Supersoldier". They are the only units that can throw a Javelin 18". Every other unit I know has 9" (Sisters of the Thorn, Chaos Marauder Horsemen or a Icebrow Hunter throws his Throwing Spear for example) or at best 12" in case of the Khinerai Heartrenders. It's looks like your guys are a little on steroids. Another thing is the plausibility. A shockbolt pistole is some sort of Repeater crossbow. This thing could be fired with one hand, while Throwing the Javelin with the other one (even it is also not the best design in case of the Palladors). Your "shortbows" that normally should be some sort of bow, like the other units in your army have does need both hands (1 holding the Bow and 1 holding the arrow). Do they really have the time to throw a Javelin in between.
  5. Quite interesting warscrolls. So I'm not the only one, who considers to harness deers in front of a chariot. Didn't checked anything, but I'm a little wondering about some things: For some reason, the Skinners Knife of the of the Gladeshards seems a little strong. A knife/dagger that wounds better than a sword. I mean, we have Sisters of the Watch and Shadow Warriors at the high end of Archers but non of them are wounding on 3+. In case of the chargers I think there is something wrong with shortbow and javelin (and why do they need both? Shooting 3 shots in the shooting phase with 2 weapons. How about the shortbow for shooting and a spear for close combat?
  6. So, to give a little update for the last week. My Ranger part of the army got another 10 Eternal Guard (so the unit contains 20 now) and 10 Wildwood Rangers). Actually don't have pictures of it because it's not really interesting showing mostly noncoverted minis. A little more interesting should be, that I made a High Priestess containing parts of Yvraine and parts of the Sisters of the Thorn. Actually I don't know that warscroll I should use (Spellweaver looks a little wasted here). Is there something better fitting for a priestess in Ghyran than a woman walking barefoot (except that she doesn't have legs where men become jealous of like it's the case with Alarielle). I undercoated her yesterday and started painting the skin, so this is the result: Still I don't have finished any more models but I will show the WIP pics. First my three heroes From left to right: Waywatcher, Nomad Prince, Spellweaver. And the first 10 Sisters of the Watch (of 30). Actually I have done a little painting on the 5 additional Wildriders, but I didn't make pictures of them. Next weekend will get interesting in case of Building: I actually orders 4 Boxes of Sisters of the Thorn/Wildriders and 1 Box of Sisters of the Watch. With these boxes I want to build another 10 Wild Riders and 2 units of 5 Reavers. Using the Deers standing on the hindlegs because if I saw correctly the Sisters of the Watch Cape should fit in this case so I could use the upper body of the Sisters of the Watch. I really must say, it's fun to work on a most/entirely female army that isn't over sexualized.
  7. To say something about the Darkoath Theme. After Chieftain and Warqueen can't have a God Keyword, it's also possible that "Darkoath" could become a undefined Mark of Chaos. This would make more sense than dropping Slaves to Darkness. When was the last time an Allegiance was dropped (when the Grand Alliance Books came out in 2016).
  8. I can confirm that there are 12 Battleplans in the GHB2018 and a table rolling a D3 and a D6 to roll for the Battleplan. I only wondered where the first 6 Battleplans where.
  9. So, to give a little update here. I both another 10 Sisters of the Watch (to fill the third Battleline) and a Nomad Prince (except I don't know if he really fits with Antler) into the Order of the verdant cycle). After Path to Glory only has the Nomad Prince as Herochoice for Wanderers right now (okay Sisters of the Watch are not even part of it, but would somebody say something against it if they were took instead of Shadow Warriors?), I made a Kitbash Nomad Prince for my Maidensguard. Those of you who follow my Twitter already know them, but here are the pictures of the build models. I undercoated anything, put the Texture Paint on any models base and started painting the Maiden Guards Nomad Prince, Spellweaver, the Waywatcher (where I actually changed the head to a SotW head) 10 Sisters of the Watch and the other 5 Wildriders. (I didn't made pictures of them, yet) For my planning. I will actually give the army another 10 Wildriders (actually have to look if I have enough heads left), but I also have to look, if I can give this part of the army some more varity. For once I have seen those nice Reavers, made by @Melcavuk After they are Order Battleline I can try to fill the Armys Battleline with Order Battleline instead (or use them as Allies). I think, it would be nice to have some more close combat units in Maiden Style. Something like Eternal guard would be nice, but after I used the Wildrider Spears for my Wildriders they would look more consistent if they would have these spears (the problem is, the downpart of the spear is used by both mounted units (if we don't count the shields) so this could get really expensive. Another easier way would be making a Sword + Shield unit, combining SotW with the Shadow Warrior bits, but after Wanderers don't have a Sword + Shield unit (only Darkling Covens having one) I would have to use Order because of missing Alliance Rules. I think, the strangest Idea would be, using the Swifthawk Agents Chariot, spanning 2 deers in front of it and putting 2 Sisters of the Watch on top.
  10. @Nick907 Okay ... I have this feeling, the Title "Girls going wild" would fit your girls better than mine ? At first I wanted to ask, if all your girls are naked but then I found your Thread:
  11. Thanks. Do you have some pictures of them? Those conversions were actually quite easy. The Dear and most of the body are actually from the Sisters of the Thorn, the Head is from Sisters of the Watch. The Spears, Shields and left arms holding the shields are from the Windriders (I cut of the arm from the wildriders Body). Lukyly I had some spare Bodyparts from making my Lion Cavalry because the Champions body, holding the weapon in front of him, got me a little in trouble with the hair of the Sisters of the Watch head. Actually a nice thing for my project is (after having a look into the new Generals Handbook), that Sisters of the Watch and Wildriders get a little cheaper ?
  12. I made some changes to the later part of this story, because the fighting part seemed a little rushed.
  13. This story, not like the other stories was based on a Hinterlands testgame. The Knight Venator wasn't part of that game, but I made up the character here because the game went bad. I can't make the game from perspective of the Lord Celestant because he really died the way in the story do to a doubleturn in turn 2. Afterwards thinking, perhaps it would have been better, using a Knight Azyros instead of a Knight Venator because the Azyros doesn't have a Missile Weapon that could shoot every opponent from a distant. In the end, this is the mission I mentioned in "Yelena's first mission" and the point why Valten Blazenheart wasn't there. But still have fun. The first battle of the Blazenhearts
  14. I retweeted it with a comment (even I only have 6 followers). You should find my profile in the list of your followers (if you don't find the notification).
  15. We have to see, if there will be a Warscroll Update some time. Actually don't know why they dropped the shields (even in the oldest compendium there was no option for a shield) If you want to see some really cool Reaver conversions (Sisters of the Watch on Deers) you have to see @Melcavuk Post in "The Suneater Tribes"
  16. Hi community, I translated another story. This time it's more of a prequel. It's the last moment of Yelena Stormheart before becoming a Stormcast Eternal. We already got some information in Yelenas Character Description but here it's a little more fleshed out. Have fun ? Decline of the spectral gate monastery
  17. Here is another story attempt. At first the story was planned with the Fleetmaster Delayar as protagonist, but I thought the landlady Thalia could be an interesting protagonist (mostly because she can have several customers to interact in her Tavern). It's a try to fit in some official GW stuff into the story as well as some bits of my own creations. (After I mix Frostaelfs, Fyreaelfs and Shadowaelfs in this story I wish I hadn't split the Projects into two.) Character Description Thalia Delayar's Loss
  18. So, I painted my first 5 Wildrider models for the all female maidenguard today. I know, the actual warscroll doesn't have shields (while they are in the sprue from 8. Edition WHFB). I think the shields are quite fitting for them. Now I have to paint the other 5 models I have, that are containing the Champion (after I switched the head, so the champion could have a sword instead of a spear) and the banner bearer.
  19. To give a little update here. Thursday I painted the deers of the first 5 Wildriders Still haven't painted the Female Riders I showed last time. Today I build some new stuff for the army. I build another 5 Sisters of the Thorn (didn't make a picture). Build another 5 Wildriders I build my first 10 Eternal Guard, after having my Tribesmen. At the end I thought, maybe I should have some more heroes when the new Edition arrives, so I build something that could be a Waystrider
  20. Hm, I thought I had posted this story already, but I hadn't even translated it yet. The Frostaelfs from Frostbreath
  21. For some reason, the pictures didn't show up here. I refreshed the link.
  22. I would say it's some sort of cult (actually I would see somethink like that for Phoenix Temple, too and lexicanum mentioned the "Ur-Phoenix" as a speculative Godbeast). I don't know what GW is planing, but I think a being with knowledge of the world that was and former leader of such a group, collecting lost souls and creating the first cult that way sounds more plausible than "hey, here was a bubble were some aelfs survived". And I left room, that there could be multiple Aelf cultures having such cults, represented by the rainbow mane. Do you mean the Novel or the campaign Book. Haven't read the Novel yet, but the campaign book featured Argentine the Silver Wyrm, Behemat the World Titan, Dracothion the Great Drake and Ignax the Solar Drake (okay the drakes were also part of All-Gates) Thanks, where are your Lion Rangers coming from? I have to see, what faction will get new stories next. I still have Stormcast Eternal Stories that aren't translated, yet and also a Story that mixed of Frostaelf, Fyreaelf and Shadowaelf characters (also not translated yet). I really hope the wording is good enough because english isn't my first language (and most stories are written in german first and than translated).
  23. Wow, the Marauders are cool. Must have been a lot of work, removing all the Khornesymbols. In my opinion Kairic Arcolytes with alternativ heads, weapons and shields would be very nice slaanesh followers, too.
  24. Hey, using the plague claw and combining the skaven with Bloodbowl heads is a very interesting idea. Also a great idea with the magma. And those reavers are amazing: After one of my subfactions is a Maidensarmy (didn't paint anything for that subfaction): I played with the idea, making reavers, but ended up with making a Wildrider Conversion. But I think I will keep it in mind. Will your Wanderers also be firebased? Would like to see the models in color.
