  1. I think Tzeentch is the best use for a single larger block of bullgors, to take the +1 attack agenda while boosted by a fatemaster. Destiny dice to get them into combat.
  2. I have a very hard time justifying a chaos gargant in a world with ghorgons for 10 pts less.
  3. His command ability affects the entire faction, including bonesplitters and greenskinz, which is nice. In essence, the more mixed your army, or the more heavily you lean into greenskinz, the more value he provides compared to alternatives.
  4. Belakor is 6 years older than the plastic daemon prince, and 16 years old. There's been significant scale creep since belakor's release.
  5. They look great. Are those 25mm or 32mm bases? Marauders should be on 25s.
  6. The proper insulting name for the razorgor model is "pumbagor" .
  7. Nurgle Bray shaman at least comes with foul regenerisis as a bonus spell, which is more than they get in any other marked army.
  8. https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_bst_350_000 Be picky and pick up those. If you're patient, Mierce has rolling promotions that can make the purchase much more reasonably priced.
  9. If you don't have Belakor, the subfaction adds a handy command ability for literally no drawback.
  10. There's a reference to Herdstones from Lost and the Damned. They've obviously gotten more mobile over the years.
  11. I'm interested in hearing more about the list as well, particularly regarding the value he sees from taking grashrak, since grashrak over another shaman increases that from a one drop to a 3 drop list.
  12. Herdstones are WAY older than that tree they used for a bit in 6th edition. Herdstones go back to realms of chaos era.
  13. The lists I write all end up looking something like this: Allegiance: Legion of Chaos AscendantLeadersGaunt Summoner of Tzeentch (240)Gaunt Summoner of Tzeentch (240)Be'Lakor (240)Battleline10 x Plaguebearers (120)10 x Plaguebearers (120)10 x Plaguebearers (120)Units3 x Skull Cannons (390)3 x Skull Cannons (390)Total: 1860 / 2000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 90 Plaguebearers give you a nice resilient but relatively cheap core (no sense buying battleline horrors when you can summon them via allegiance or summoner). A pair of summoners give you bodies and tzeentch summoning options. If the points make sense, you add discs to those summoners. Belakor because hes Belakor. Skull cannon units could each be replaced by various elite options, such as 6 bloodcrushers and a skull master. There's a bit of slack to add flavour of the day.
  14. Probably need 100, in case you succeed in your summoning roll 2 turns in a row. And another 50, because a gaunt summoner is clearly the ideal summoning beacon.
  15. *gestures towards units of Skull Cannons, Blood Crushers, Plague Drones and Seeker Chariots*
  16. The reason is that a battalion has a keyword. If the battalion keyword doesn't match the army allegiance, then all the units in the battalion can only be added as allies. From the Core Rulebook designers commentary (emphasis mine): Q: The rules say that a warscroll battalion can include allies and that they don’t count against the number of allies in the army. Does this rule only apply to battalions that share the same allegiance as the army, but that have units from two different factions (a battalion in a Daughters of Khaine army that has Daughters of Khaine and Stormcast Eternals units, for example)? A: Yes. The faction a warscroll battalion belongs to is shown on its warscroll, above the title of the battalion. In addition, the battalion is assumed to belong to the Grand Alliance that its faction is a part of. Warscroll battalions that share the same allegiance as an army can always be taken as part of the army, and if they include any allied units, these units do not count against the limits on the number of allies the army can have (or against the points limit that can be spent on allies in a Pitched Battle). An army can include a warscroll battalion of a different allegiance to the rest of the army, but if it does so the units in it do count against the limits on the number of allies the army can have (and the points for the battalion and the units in it count against the points limit that can be spent on allies in a Pitched Battle). https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/8f9bd00c.pdf
  17. They're both 'okay' value, I think. Neither is good enough to *really* move the needle. 8" move + 18" shooting is a significant advantage for the Cygor compared to 6" move + 12" shooting. Shooting is actually 8" shorter factoring in the movement, and the cygor doesn't need to expose itself. Head to head, the Cygor shooting averages more damage against wizards, plus 4+ or better armour saves (which means that the Fomoroid is better value shooting). Cygor can also heal if it kills a unit in melee.
  18. Warherd brings piles of wounds for slaanesh to feast on for depravity, and tends to have low numbers of high damage attacks making them extremely vulnerable to negatives to hit (like tzeentch brings in droves). With that in mind, I don't think ghorgons are the biggest issue - as mentioned they're essentially a cheap support unit. Bullgors with their 4+ to hit though are too vulnerable to too many opponents.
  19. Interestingly, legion of the first prince doesn't require belakor (ability and command ability do) and doesn't require belakor to be general (very strong command ability does). There's no forced command trait and magic item like most subfactions. If you don't want belakor, might as well take it for the free bonus spell.
  20. There's a rule that says to use the newest warscroll of the same name. Slaves to darkness daemon prince is not the same name as daemon prince.
  21. The app and azyr should follow what books + errata say. Books + errata say that the daemon prince warscrolls should still be in the grand alliance chaos book. There is still a current generals handbook cost for a daemon prince, so the "daemon prince" warscroll remains matched play legal.
  22. I'd argue that the 160 pt daemon prince remains legal until next GHB. The warscrolls have different names.
  23. Everyone should start their warband with 2 ungor raiders, 2 spear ungors, and a gor champion or bestigors, just to use the gorgeous beastgrave models.
  24. No. Extra drops are his biggest drawback. Generally adds 2 drops to a list. Only battalion he fits into is phantasmagoria, and his unit doesn't fit there.
  25. Minotaur leader with GW is damage 3/8.
