  1. did some customisation for a jungle themed gitz army with main focus on troggoth that are supported by a cannibalistic grot tribe. it includes an 'arachnatrogg' and last but not least 'da trogg moon' already had my first 1.5k game, and they are much fun (even if not high competetive) anyone else doing conversions for their army :)?
  2. did some customisation for a jungle themed gitz army with main focus on troggoth that are supported by a cannibalistic grot tribe. it includes an 'arachnatrogg' and last but not least 'da trogg moon' anyone else doing conversions and a thematic army?
  3. you have to take care that some effects like the weapon artefacts for a hero only counts for his weapon, and not for its mount. so in your example for a coven throne, the artefacts would only be available for her melee weapons and not for the handmaidens and spectral hosts weapons (they count as mount as per latest faq)
  4. I started a conversion for my (two) mortis engines into a ghost ship. anyone tried a list with two of them? I only played the arkhan battalion, but I'd like to include both in order to get the 'full experience'
  5. regarding 1), I build a ship(wreck) for my undead army from the idoneth ship, playable as 2 mortis engines (you can separate them). so it's doable
  6. and then it would be fun if nagash or mlok insta-kill it first try
  7. "count as move" is not a move at all. it just prevents your model from moving again. (iirc when stormcast teleport onto the field, this count as move, but they didn't move with respect to movement, so their archery can use the not moved profiles. have to check faq if I remember this correctly...) since you remove your models from the board, they do not interact with anything on the board. furthermore, a 'set up' on the field does not prevent a unit to move, therefore you have these extra lines as 'this count as the units move'. an example would be seraphon teleport, where they still could move after set up (if you roll good) Edit: found the FAQ regarding this @Vasshpit
  8. there's an artefact that let's you reroll all failed to hits for all nighthaunt in a certain distance once a game (don't know the exact values and name, don't have the tome currently available)
  9. it was mentioned in an earlier faq that "a roll of 6" means "a roll of 6 or more", so it uses the modified roll. only if the rule started "unmodified roll" it triggers on unmodified. I'll try to find the exact faq
  10. and don't forget that you can still shoot/casts spells when one of the units can fly. so alarielle can shoot out of woods, and kurnoth onto flying targets (or need to stand at the edge of the forest to get both cover and los)
  11. and ghoul patrol is now a 'can' instead of a 'must' for units off the board. helps to get some bodies on the field
  12. her swarm weapon choice is an "either...or", so you have to choose one that will be fixed for the whole fight. the only thing that changes inbetween rounds is her mood, which effects which weapon can refill ones, but she still keeps the same swarm.
  13. best are mortals wounds, from spirit hosts or hexwraiths. alternatively, surround it with a 20-40 model chainrasp horde to just stall him with an endless mob.
  14. I just wonder, when reading Reikenor's corpse candle ability, it says that it can deal 1 mortal wound against an enemy model (instead of unit), so can it be used to do 1 mortal wound against icon or banner bearers model to snipe it out of a unit? or can the enemy still allocate to another model in the unit? would be very strong if the first case
  15. okay, but all courtiers are changed to return slain models only now, so they at least can't increase the unit size so vargoukfs 'to the king' only returns slain models and can't add more units like written above
  16. you cannot grow units above starting size with any ability. you can only add slain models back to a unit, but you cannot add additional ones.
  17. 140 points, same as the one with lantern. but keep in mind that he cannot get the lantern artefacts
  18. unfortunately, this won't work because you teleport out of 9" and the ability is within 9". nonetheless, it makes even the 3" charge less likely to activate, not to mention that units more than 6 1/2" away can't get a successful charge (without any +charge buffs) the model is 25€, or for free if you order for 180€. it's basically a GoS with a sand hourglass instead of the lantern, so it's easily convertible and the scroll can be used as seen above. I think the most you can revive is d6 (lantern) + 3 (nagashizzar lantern artefact) + d6 (from battalion). the Sand hourglass could be taken from the batlemage sets as I used for my cairne wraith
  19. I got the store birthday version of the GoS. he has a special lantern and a unique spell (which is mentioned in the chainguard battalion, if you have ever wondered what the second spell there is ?). the spell sounds good, as he allows a unit to move 6", retreat and charge
  20. you can choose 1 weapon, artefact or lantern for each artefact slot (1 per default, 1 per battalion), but each can be chosen only once (so not two time the same lantern, but you can select 2 different lanterns or 1 lantern 1 weapon etc)
  21. on another note, I converted my nh on ghyran style, what do you think :)? (more evil than sylvaneth) tree spirits
  22. you can use the lantern artefacts only for the GoS with nightmare lantern. there is another GoS version (gw shop anniversary exclusive order) which has another lantern that let's all enemy units within 9" charge with only 1d6 instead of 2d6.
  23. or you can easily convert a few to give them a unique touch. here is my gk general, as a shepherd for his sheep (ghouls)
  24. So, for my current project I plan to customise my sylvaneth and wanderer army. And what is an army without some awesome big bad boys...or ladies Drycha is one of these awesome models. And I always wanted to have a celestant prime in my army. But since the style of the original model doesn't fit so well with sylvaneth (at least thats my point of view), I started to build my own one in sylvaneth style The base of the model is build from the Drycha set. I rearranged the leg and arm parts for a more epic pose. I exchanged the torso and head with some leftover bits from Morathi. The weapon is supposed to be a big hammer, but I'm not quite happy yet. The basing should resemble the celestant prime pose - some magic lifting her in the air. I used the whirlwind parts from the Yncarne (40k), which I will pimp with some leaves to look like a autumn storm InShot_20180527_222204552.mp4 I plan to build a modular base, so I can use both the oval base for Drycha or a treelord/lady and the big circular base for the prime. More updates will follow soon
