  1. No change spoiled in our sub factions. I guess they were ok? I m surprised to see godseekers and pretenders remain when in the broken realm story, Slaanesh has been found
  2. The old guard at GW meant aos to be played only as open or narrative play at launch. It s the community at large that created match play because that is what they wanted to balance their games ( ie a point system) The community mostly uses point even for narrative games. I m not really sure what open play is nowadays. I scroll through the ghb sections and it s a bunch of sidegames within aos really, a compilation of white dwarf articles, back in the first aos, all it was in the section was a multiplayer system with some scenario for that system. Imo This could be integral to the match play or narrative section.I do believe aos will follow 40k and there will be two ways to play in the future. Based on ghb content in the open play section. I d say that is already the case
  3. Since we wishlisting: Provide rules for terrain and units to block/impede los rather than true line of sight. (Re)introduce a penalty for move and shoot, Make the center piece heroes in games be the army generals they are in the narrative. Introduce mechanics to speed up the pile in/combat phase. Having to pile in models indivisually in a horde unit is not efficient Make asf and asf units alternate to fight like in the regular combat phase Add miscast to casting attempts Make battleshock matter again
  4. When we see some units costed incorrectly by more than 50pts, does it really matter that they start to do 5pt increments instead of 10? I don t think this will help gw better adjust points. If anything it will be worse now because they ll keep adjusting every faq by 5pts a unit that needs to come up or down by 10x that
  5. I see it as getting a chaos sorcerer lord and 3 cool chaos warriors to complete my existing units for a good price in comparison to the aos cost alternative
  6. email for the community team "Unless you've been lost in the warp, you'll no doubt be aware that Warhammer 40,000 received an official update earlier this month, with tweaks to some points values and a few key areas of the game. This instalment of Metawatch: Warhammer 40,000 will help you seamlessly stay on the front foot competitively in light of these changes. Give it a read now!" 48hrs after the aos faq, now that is cold
  7. I d rather kill myself than build so many chariots. I almost cried after I finished building my only exalted bladebringer then to see how ridiculous it looked on the regular chariot base provided, I ended up putting it on a 160mm round base
  8. I wonder if we ll get some dice this time? Gw sure knows how to make useless ones and I m curious to see what those would look like if they release some
  9. Cool run down on a competitive list in todays metawatch article. Can t wait for our new book to not see 75% slaves to darkness units in a competitive slaanesh list
  10. I like those release a lot better than what we got with Khorne for example. A new battletome only a year or so after the previous one with no new units. That book could have been fleshed out and come out a lot later. This was a real disappointment for me
  11. I m pretty sure at this point the DEAD part refers to the winter faq
  12. I wholeheartedly agree.and the trend on gitz battalion continues with white dwarf battallions always focusing on a single group. The gitz fluff is about mixed mobs but the rules push toward a focus on only one of the subgroup:moonclan/squigs/troggoths/spiders This is sad that not only the orc and goblins from wfb split into 2 battletomes but the goblin side split into 4 possible lists without any real unit variety if you look for efficiency My current list has moonclan, squigs and troggoths in it because I like how it looks, but it s not a competitive list in any way
  13. I am concerned that gw in a near future treats the eu as the rest of the world and prevents uk resellers to sell gw goods outside of the uk. Something they could not do legally when the uk was part of the eu
  14. Of course but you d be surprise of the price difference. Discounts in the us are often capped at 15% of us retail prices
  15. In the US, I cannot order gw products from uk online resellers like element games or others
  16. At least you can still order gw products from the uk from resellers even if it may be not as good of a deal as it was. Many are not as lucky. The fact that gw can enforce uk resellers not to ship their products outside of the uk and the eu is crazy
  17. I don t believe the powercreep is that much different than during the warhammer fantasy battle years. What exacerbates it in AOS is the release schedule that is so much faster. During 7th ed, the Deamons of Chaos were dominating for years. Back then, you could play the same list for years and stay competitive. With AOS it s very rare to be able to keep one list on top just a single year. GW does not hesitate to errata the powercreep with 2 errata/faq rounds per year and the high number of battletomes being released means that new as/more powerful armies will appear on the tournament scene to beat the old top of the meta army quickly. It's also a lot less models on the table than 8th wfb had become which means that between the lower model count and the higher release schedule new armies are showing up on the table a lot sooner than during the wfb era
  18. His command abulity on himself and the locus of diversion is what makes him good today. He has a 66% chance of making one ennemy fight last vs 33% for all our other heroes since the last winter faq. His damage output is quite unreliable and you need to invest in artefacts/command abilities to make him reliable. You pay for a 2 spellcaster which is quite irrelevant in a world with supercasters and no ability in Slaanesh to increase your casting rolls but he s still our best unit in our battletome. The thing is this is all likely to change in a little more than a month when our new battletome drop
  19. I shelved my khorne army when gw released their last battletome so close to the previous one with no new models except for a terrain piece and some endless prayers. For this release I feel differently as we re getting so many new units, a new battletome is I feel warranted
  20. I can t imagine anyone at a tournament complaining unless you run both types in your army, then their representation should match their correct type
  21. How do you count 12 wounds? I only count 8 reading the warscroll
  22. Toughness does not exist as a stat in AOS and the to wound roll is not really related to the unit Strength either. (Varies with weapon profiles, grots can wound on 2+ ...) I personnally prefer when less dice are rolled and I would welcome the change if to hit and to wound were to be combined in a single roll but lets face it, gw has too much baggage to implement this in their main games As previously mentionned they are other ways, using modifier /re rolls /losing dice/etc that could affect the results to reflect something is hard to hit or hard to wound without going back to the old S vs T table
  23. As someone who played warhammer fantasy battle, AOS still feels very much like a skirmish game to me
  24. So since the next broken realm tome will have a big focus on Slaanesh, I m really hoping for some release of mortal hedonite infantry units. I really like the aesthetic of the upcoming underworld warband
  25. My best counter army to Dok is my Drakkfoot bonesplitterz. These girls become so squishy without their rerollable 5+ after save
