  1. Maybe someone has already noticed, but I have a question: why on earth that shield has "Karl Franz" written on it?? Where...no, when did this gargant get it?!
  2. Welcome to the forum, may this be a relaxing and inspiring place for you
  3. You're welcome. Blanche's job is very impressive, and yes, it's sad the technique isn't explained. I don't like so much contrast paint, I think that with shade and little drybrush you can achieve a muddy looking. Maybe you can try gloss shade, depending on how "wet" you want to go?
  4. Yep, a good commitment on the bases is required, but if I understand correctly what you have in mind, you might want to work on a brown/mute palette like John Blanche did! Check this article: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/06/11/contrast-testimonies-john-blanchegw-homepage-post-3/ I love this stuff.
  5. Welcome Bray, I also play Greywater Fastness, such a cool lore indeed. Enjoy your stay!
  6. Hi Tzanna! I've come also to AoS recently, after playing Fantasy years ago... And I also played Bretonnia (still in my heart). Welcome to the forum!
  7. Yes, of course, he has the Steam Tank keyword. Seems logical, thank you!
  8. Good question, so just to be clear, I follow up with a doubt on the Steam Tank Commander's CA "Target Sighted". It's this the same case? The commander benefit the +1 hit bonus? Thank you guys.
  9. Anyway, despite I really love banners, I agree that sometimes musicians are unpleasant to the eye, especially in a minimal size unit (e.g. 5 models)... So, as suggested by @Greyshadow, at times I simply glue a trumpet on the back or at the belt of the model.
  10. Rules for musicians and standard bearers tend to be a bit confusing, and they differ according to different warscrolls. Chaos knights' warscroll says that 1 model (every 5) can be standard bearer and 1 model (every 5) can be musician: so, IMO, the model can't be the same. Never seen anything like this, in fact it would be kind of weird... Core rules say that "Command models must be represented by appropriate Citadel Miniatures if they are included in a unit", and it would be logical for me to see 1 model for each role. Keep in mind that old kits contains a lot of extra bits...
  11. Hi and welcome! I'm also building my Cities of Sigmar army, I think you'll enjoy it. I picked Greywater Fastness
  12. Oh, it looks very promising, I like both the ship and the handgunners! Great conversion @Lightbox, thanks for sharing!
  13. Yes, I agree. I really hope for seraphon players! And probably you're right, guys: it's a sudden increase of interest before the battletome update.
  14. Strange! Besides, it says "temporary"... Also we've already seen the old Slann in the terrain preview and saurus in warcry. It's repackaging a possibility?
  15. I like so much your idea @Lightbox, hope to see some pictures Probably you won't cut the second Steam Tank, but if you do so, you'll free a lot of points for some screen units.
  16. My compliments, I really enjoy the strips. I like, as you said, the fact they're definitely warhammer, but enjoyable for everyone, not only who know the deep lore. Hope for new ones!
  17. What's strage, to me, it's that it has a huge "vintage vibe". ... but what if it's a mask worn by some big character? Look at the eyes.
  18. I'm here to say that I like your hoplites more than new lumineth ones. Also stunning work on metal! 👌
  19. We just got the Bonereapers/Ogors box... But yeah, I'd love a Waaaagh vs CoS box, with an hero for both sides!
  20. I would go with Incubi, because Chosens are an elite infantry, and Namarthi have too light armour.
  21. Of course it's a personal choice, but OP asked for personal opinions :) Anyway I understand your point so, in this case, I think grey it would fit better, because imho that light brown clash with the model scheme.
