  1. Great work. Dragon Ogors are such a cool ideal and while the older plastic kit still sort of holds up, with the advances in GW plastic tech, they could do some really amazing things as your kitbashes show.
  2. While we never had a proper range expansion for Ironjawz, we've had 2 WHU warbands along with 2 limited edition sculpts (Bawla and Burk + Bazdrogg Nekk-choppa), which does give me hope that there is support within GW for them. There are a few ways we could get expanded, including mounted heroes or maybe a gore-grunta chariot, smaller maw-krusha flying cavalry, etc. I'd like to see the old boar riders kit be brought back as mounted ardboys type unit. The sculpts themselves aren't that far off from matching up with the existing kits.
  3. So as much as I love my new Megaboss, it's a great mini and cool alternate sculpt, I have to admit the 40k minis seem to have that special something, in terms of being unique. The Vindicare is like a mini diorama and such a nice display piece. Plus looking at the silhouette and the old artwork that it's seemingly based on, the 40k terminator is going to be amazing. (abit like the updated plastic noise marine) I will reserve judgment until we see them both in full, but the AoS sorceror might end up being like the Megaboss, cool sculpt, but interchangeable with existing WHU/AoS minis. As these are the sort of special minis that don't need to fit any existing army, what else would you like to see for? Maybe some based on BL characters? (als Gotrek, or those recently previewed guys). How about a pre-death Nagash or Sigmar? An update to a classic chaos hero such as Aekhold Hellbrass, Arbaal the Undefeated, Harry the Hammer?
  4. I got mine from ebay, it's a 3d print so you often see multiple sellers with it. It comes in 2 poses: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275152165323?hash=item401058d9cb:g:s1QAAOSw-4xh-5lh https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275338849995?hash=item401b796ecb:g:zwkAAOSwAf1g7dD6 Shameless re-post of mine: I added the jaw (you could call it an Iron Jaw) taken from the 40k Kill Rig
  5. This is a great idea. I've got a rough idea in my own head of the part of Ghur my different forces would come from. Seeing you guys making maps, I should try it myself.
  6. Those Dark Commune sculpts look cool, going to need to find a use for them in AoS.
  7. It could be that there are 8 unique warbands and the other icons could be warbands made up of repackaged AoS units?
  8. So 8 unique warbands over the next 12 months? As long as the stuff is sold separately at some point, as I can't see me buying all 4 boxed sets just to get the terrain bits.
  9. I'd love an upgrade sprue for the IJ brutes, with sheilds, helmets, (even bulkier) armour. Chances are slim to zero, but we have to wish right?
  10. Those kroot are amazing. Not strictly AoS related, but that look would make a great new Ghurish race in AoS
  11. Very impressive warband. GW are really putting out some amazing witch Hunter sculpts right now.
  12. The scenery is amazing. That skull watch tower is S tier.
  13. I think FW normally stop selling stuff when the mold gives out otherwise I'm sure they'd do made to order runs. You only have to look at how much things like the Incarnates, War Mammoth, etc go for on ebay to see there is a market for it. Back on topic, I'm looking forward to the previews on Sunday. My own wish is to see some god specific beastmen as part of the new warcry warbands. We already saw an unmarked one in the Spire Tyrants. So if they're doing god warbands AND we're in the realm of beasts, it'd make sense right? I'll settle for Ghur themed terrain and maybe a destruction warband also.
  14. The Dragon Ogor kit holds up pretty well to me. Then again i'm biased, I've got 12 now. We just need a Kragnos sized Shaggoth and we're good to go.
  15. I recently picked up one of the Island of Blood rat ogres and while mono-pose, the sculpt itself is amazing. Need to find the other and then might do a small Skaven warband/force
  16. Agreed, I've always thought AoS is perfect for an MMO, or large open world RPG. Between the idea of finding and opening old realm gates, taking you to new areas or new realms and hunting stormvaults for rare magic spells, items, etc could make a compelling gameplay hook. Different realms having different bonuses or even debuffs depending on which one you're in and how close you are to the centre/edge. Plenty of different races, enemies to fight across all realms. If done well it has all the lore in place for a successful game.
  17. I did have a look around for alternatives, including those, but the sculpts don't seem to hold up or fit the AoS aesthetic. I did get a sprue of some plastic goblins from Shieldwolf as a test, but they also don't hold up alongside the WHU sculpts.
  18. Amen to that. Love the Snarlfangs Give us a new wolf rider kit that can be built with bows or spears. Maybe new chariots as well, but really just a new wolf rider kit would make my heart sing.
  19. The megaboss arrived, love the sculpt and started working on him. I will be building his base up a bit to better match these guys. But even taking into account the added base size of my other Megabosses, this guy is smaller than the original. As he comes, he would fit better on a 50mm base, as he is somewhere between the brutes and megaboss in scale. Less bulky overall than the megaboss, with hands/head scaled more like brutes/savage orruk kits.
  20. It's good value, but still a very expensive pre-order weekend overall. So, as someone who is both 30k and AoS focused, I've got to admit to being relieved there is a 2 week window, gives my card chance to cool down.
  21. Do we know the HH preorder is a 3 week window? The article states "After a slightly extended pre-order period, all this will be in your hands in just three short weeks" which to me reads that the slightly extended pre-order week period is 2 weeks, and it'll be in our hands 3 weeks from the article?
  22. A fine motto to live by if there ever was one!
  23. There really are some amazing kits and sculpts coming from GW since AoS launched. From small single characters released as part of Underworlds to larger centerpieces like the greater daemons. For me personally, I'm biased in that I love the look of the Ironjawz, they are what got me started on AoS in the first place. So my top spots go to the Brutes kit (fun to paint, some good options for making multiples with different poses and provides many, many spare bits for the bitsbox.) and the Mawkrusha (a great bulked up take on the classic wyvern). In fact the only kit I don't love from their range is the Ardboyz. Honorable mentions go to the Putrid blightkings, also a kit with plenty of options to build, spare bits and really fun to paint. Not sure if old WHFB kits count, but I really love the Dragon Ogors kit, I think it still holds up well for it's age. I'd love to see an updated plastic Shaggoth to lead the 12 I have now built.
  24. There is already one up there lol. For £46 + £3.50 postage. I'm going to take the option to buy the assassin as well and then see if I can trade that for another megaboss. Yeah the shadowed preview seemed to suggest it's a chaos sorcerer for AoS and a Khorne terminator for 40k.
  25. Time has arrived, first Warhammer+ exclusive minis should be with people soon. I wonder if that means we'll get the next couple previewed soon to encourage people to stay subbed?
