Was looking through all of the faction specific endless spells and I think that if you really want that spell in a bottle then the Taurus would be one of the best spells to use, along with the WLV. Making enemy units fight last will give our balloon boys more of a chance to get their damage in melee if you run smaller 3/6 man units. WLV is just an amazing board control spell. Honorable mention is the Mesmerizing Mirror and the Everblaze Comet. The mirror is great for killing low wound characters, and the comet is the comet.
  2. endrinriggers vs skywardens is rough. not sure what to build them as, or what special weapons to use.
  3. I'm torn between putting the cannon on the gunhauler or the drill. They both seems really good.
  4. thunderers with rifles only, or thunderers with the special weapons? I got 5 from the start collecting I'm building and I was wondering what would be better for right now.

  6. Ya'll are putting a lot of belief in rumors that are about as shaky as michael j. fox's arms. I haven't seen any of these rumors come from any actual source, not even on facebook, or /tg/, so any rumors talking about changes to armor or rend or the khemist I'll take with about a dump truck full of salt. The only things we know for sure are what was in the community post, and what we'll see in the AoS app this weekend. I would like to see extra armor, but changes to rend would seem incredibly absentminded, as well as the khemist change unless he was getting some other ability.
  7. The ability to zip around the table on demand, assuming you can dismount during movement, is pretty friggin huge in competitive play. Even if they changed all of the troops to have no armor saves and kill themselves on hits of 1s you'd still have a pretty massive point advantage early on in most missions to coast on. In a realistic scenario it made skyships loaded with thunderers a very scary clown car that can appear and reappear wherever you need it assuming it doesn't get charged and dies immediately.
  8. 1. TE 2. HH 3. LC/PH Easy pz. I've played a boatload of games with Hallowheart using a lot of different lists, and every list had the same issues against heavy alpha strike or shooting armies which make up like 80% of the current meta. If you don't get the first turn you can expect at least one or two of your wizards to be dead, and if it's the hurricanum then it's pretty much gg from there. It's also not easy to hold board control when you have so little bodies. I don't have enough experience with TE myself, but I know it can handle other shooting armies effectively, and it has a lot of alpha strike potential. It's also really fun playing with a pistolier and outrider heavy lists so it has that going for it too. As for LC and PH I've seen some nasty things come from them, but they don't hold a candle to HH/TE in the meta. LC has an easier time if the pilot is more experienced and big brain but even then it can be screened out by another big brain player. The other cities are bottom of the bucket though.

I've always been using Longstrikes as 24" in the hero phase since I thought the wording was already pretty clear that they don't get it since they had no movement phase prior so nothing changed for me there. It would have been nice to see it swing in the other direction though. With the points drops to dracolines I'm thinking about dusting my stormcast off and trying those.
  10. Anybody know of any Hallowheart batreps or videos? I'm trying to see how other's are playing this army.
  11. Same lol. I really like the way the lance looks on the model and it really only loses 1 attack compared to the sword, but does have -2 on the charge which is where most of my hopes will be since I'm running it in tempest's eye.
  12. What weapon do you guys put on your Griffon? I'm thinking a lance because it just looks the best, but i'm also looking at the sword.

  14. Anybody get any good games in yet with these guys? I'm still building up an army so I have't gotten the chance. I haven't seen any tournaments with them in it either.
  15. Anyone know of any art or descriptions of Glymmsforge outside of Soul Wars? I know Glymmsmen wear mauve and black uniforms but that's basically it. It's what I plan on theming my army around, but while using tempest eye or hallowheart rules.
  16. Where would plain old freeguild guard fit into a tempest eye list? I know I want to run a griffon and the battalion with pistoleers, but everything else seems slow in comparison and it increases the drops.
  17. I'm seeing a lot of people saying Tempest's Eye is the strongest city with Hallowheart right behind and an honorable Greywater mention. Thoughts?

  19. What are people thinking about for battleline? Freeguild Guard or would stuff like Eternal Guard be good?
  20. I'm just trying to figure out where to fit greatswords in a hallowheart list. They're some of my favorite models so I don't want to ditch them.
  21. Anybody know of any good third party pieces for things like halberds and banners? The freeguild guard ones look like wet ass and I'm planning on doing a lot of conversions.
  22. How would you guys run Greatswords? MSU or one big chonkin unit? They're the one unit I definitely want to run just for aesthetics if anything.
