  1. Yeah it's actually helluva fun list, and hits like a steam train. It's all about keeping the vamp lord (preferably flying horror for lower profile) alive long enough to summon back the black knights at least once. I suspect if someone really wanted to they could find ways to nuke him, but as 5 wound heroes goes he's pretty tanky. 3+ in cover, with a 6++ minion save and d6 wound heal once per game. Undecided on whether its best to give him ignax for protection against spell mortals (he should be out of sight from MW shooting attacks for at least turn 1), ethereal to make him a bit more survivable after turn 1 or... as I did recently, give him the enchanted orb. Fly him up behind blood knights, either sat directly behind mortis engine (basically flying terrain) or within a wolf bubble. If your opponent forgets he has this item (likely will do as a result of staring down barrel of 15 blood knights), and flys a big beastly hero in the look on their face when you reveal it is golden. Or use him in tandem with blood knights to assassinate a big hero. If he dies next turn it doesn't matter. It's all about delivering the blood knights. Wolves are absolutely golden in this list. If I was to change anything, it might be to drop the black knights down to 10 and throw in a bat swarm (to add further protection to lord) plus an endless such as cogs. My thinking behind reducing the BK unit size, is that ideally you want them to bomb in with buff from VL and WK and if poss Vanhels and do a ton of damage (10 are rolling 40 dice, 3's and 3's 2 damage, plus 40 horses... TWICE), and then die. Then you can summon them back next turn. At 15, its quite likely they wont die in a turn and this creates the problem of VL being in right place a turn later for summoning. So, it's not the easiest list to use, and its hardly a power list. But the look on peoples faces when you drop 157 wounds with move 10" to 12" is great. So many bodies and great board control. Just keep you VL protected!
  2. My 10 pence worth, swift death necromantic dragon warriors legion of night Do the following and the list might be diff. Dragon warriors, re-roll 1’s on hits and wounds when charging. Necromatic, +2 to cast Legion of night, keep it to 6” but boost minions to 5++ Swift death, stay as is - it’s roughly on par with the above.
  3. Are you sure you can stack first of the mortachs ability?
  4. Since when can Mortis engine be triggered in op’s hero phase?
  5. Wow, whats the recipe? Love this figure.
  6. Yes, of course. Getting muddled, ZD brings on courtier. Haunter brings on 2 x 10 ghouls. Sure, I can see that. But that’s assuming you bring it on from back board edge and not along a flank. Also, it’s trying to give the list a bit more in terms of reliable objective grabbers. I know 10 packs melt like butter, but without them it’s a bit risky no?
  7. But yeah, perhaps ditch a ghoul king for another courtier. Summon a varghulf and two packs of 10 ghouls instead.
  8. Yes, of course your right. Usually use azyr, not so familiar with scroll builder. Obvs allegiance would be FEC, courtier will be boosted by a summoned varghulf turn 1. Plan to summon two late game objective grabbing packs of 10 ghouls, and another with majestic horror from Haunter courtier.
  9. Gonna give this a run for the money, seems to have legs... I mean wings.
  10. Ok, so this is 'as far as you read it' not defo. Which basically means being burned alive by my club.
  11. This may already have been answered, but just in case. Can someone do gimme their best effort to explain how ghast courtier ‘muster men at arms’ works or doesn’t work in conjunction with ghoul patrols ‘drawn to battle’? My inclination, and assumption is that the courtiers ability, can only ever heal a unit up to it’s initial number. So a 10 pack, dropped down to 8 models, could have 2 models replaced to it at a maximum. The ghoul patrol battalion faq, specifically states that models added to the unit can take unit above starting number and that there is no upper limit (though I’ve heard some people argue - not sure on what basis - that 40 would be max). So, in terms of sequencing etc, can a unit which has been lifted above its starting quota, ie the 10 pack is now 15 thanks to batallion ability, then subsequently be healed back up to 15 by the courtier? In other words, is the unit now considered to be a 15 man unit, or are these extra models above the 10 a buffer, which stops the courtiers healing ability coming back into affect until the unit drops below its starting number, ie 10? Seems a bit janky to play it this way, which is why I instinctively haven’t, but would like to know how people think it should be played? cheers!
  12. Am I right in thinking Ghoul patrol allows units to be healed about their starting quota to a maximum of 40? Or am I being a massive nobber?
  13. Yeah, been thinking about this. But GKoZD’s spell is way better. Hmm.
  14. Gonna give this list a try on tues against Iornjawz. My opponent usually whoops me, but he’s been getting surprisingly salty about facing this. All the free stuff is so welcome!
  15. Can I ask why Araloth is on a 40 and woodie heroes are on 25's? Kinda assumed majority of heroes were on 32mm.
  16. Ps your colour scheme is dope as ******
