    ah thats a perfect explaination, i understand now, thanks Thanks Sleeper/Evles, I see the benefit of both tbh, Ill eventually try all 3 options (4x1, 2x2, 1x3+1) and see which i think works best.

    Ah I see, I was playing around with the Warscroll builder and it let me pick 4, i guess its not updated yet. Is there any negative of running 4 single shark units? seems like it would give more flexibility, but 2 units of 2 is also something i could do. Im still new to AoS so I dont understand the benefit of having a unit of 3 vs having 3 single units (for example) if there is no points saving

    Ok so I decided what to get for my first 1000 points of collecting Deepkin Instead of getting the SC box (not really a fan of Namarti) Ill get 2 of the new Broken Realms boxes (probably sell 1 of the kings) and get 2 packs of Eels Akhelian/Volturnos 230/270 4 Sharks 400 3 Eels 130-170 3 Eels 130-170 Total 910-970 I hope this will be ok, im not looking to be competive and i think it will look awesome.

    Thanks Im not really a fan of the Namarti models so i think ill try and use eels. can i use eels and not be a full on eel army?

    Im thinking about starting a 1000 point Deepkin army, i have always loved the way they look. Should I get the new Bloodsurf Hunt (2??) + a SC box? or how would you suggest I start? My fav models are actually Eidolon and the Leviadon but I figure i should start with something simpler. I am not a huge fan of Namarti tbh.

    They are going to have to revisit factions as they are starting to run out, I think a Pestilens or Skryre warband would be pretty cool. I wonder if they will ever make some of the Warcry warbands into Underworlds warbands. That would be a cool way to add some more hero characters for them in Warcry.

    great! I dont mind on converting 5 or 10 of them but not so much 20. I am also going to convert some Jezzails as soon as Stormvermin body bits are back in stock. I think 6 should be enough.

    Are Skryre Acolytes any good as a unit of 10? I was thinking maybe at 1000 point, as a Battleline for a pure Skryre team LEADERS Arch-Warlock (160) Warlock Bombardier (120) UNITS 3 x Stormfiends (260) 10 x Skryre Acolytes (120) 1 x Doomwheel (150) ARTILLERY Warp Lightning Cannon (180) TOTAL: 990/1000

    Thanks for the helpful post. That is so bizarre...there are so many things like this that dont make sense with Nighthaunt....the 2 Dreadblade Harrows (but only 1 being a hero?) the odd numbering of models in the Soul Wars sprue. Is this normal for GW? Ill get us 2 more packs of Spirit Hosts incase we ever want to run 9 of them (for 2k point battles) and 10 Harridans BTW Thank you so much for that link, it looks like a good bit of reading to help understand Nighthaunt and its playstyle. oooo, I couldnt tell from the giant mess of grey plastic in the promo pic. That would be nice. What is a good number to have? 10? 20? Now, i have to decide if I should bother with the Harridans lol...I guess 10 wont hurt (and my partner loves their hair lol)

    Oh yea that model is amazing looking! Costs a pretty penny though. We will reward ourselves with a Black coach if we paint all the models mentioned earlier 😅 unfortunatly the magazine will only come with Mortis Engine which I dont really see in anyones list. It is a gorgeous model tho so I might get it anyway. Really looking forward to the Lady Olynder and Reikenor issues though! Nighthaunt has some of the most beautiful models! (its a shame about the Hexwraiths, they are a little goofy) I am still undecided if we need 10 or 20 Dreadscythe Harridans and if 3 Spirit hosts are enough, or should I buy an extra pack or 2? This is for 1000points btw.

    Hi! I am helping my partner start her first army (1000-1250points max) and she decided to go for Nighthaunt because she likes the look of them (+Mortal Realms mag value). The magazine makes things quite cheap and I have access to buying most of the issues. So far she has a boatload of Chainrasps and we are ordering the triple Hero sprue of Soul Wars we Have a pack of Spirit hosts 1 pack of Dreadblade Harrows 2 packs of the oddly numbered Reaper/Stalker sprues from Soulwars (ill probably get the Warcry warband box to complete the units. 12 Stalkers and 10 Reapers) 1 Tomb Banshee (She likes the mini although im not sure if shes anygood) 1 pack of 4 myrmourn banshees (and another 4 if I buy the Warcry Warband box) Is there anything else I should look out for? I dont think Mortal Realms will come with Bladegheists so we probably wont be getting them. Maybe Dreadscythe Harridans instead? More Spirit Hosts? (Are they worth having 6+ of?) Issue 38 coms with Crawlocke the Jailor and Chainghasts, which are pretty nifty, I was thinking of getting a copy or 2. She will definitly be getting the Lady Olynder and Reikenor issue when its available. EDIT: I deleted a whole bunch of text regarding Dreadblade Harrow to Hexwraith conversions, its a cool idea but more than 3 times the cost and im not sure its worth sacrificing Reapers to do it.

    I am about to place an order on Battlebits because they are doing a 50% sale atm, for some conversion bits to make some Acolytes,Jezzails and maybe some Weapon Teams. I am definitly getting enough to make 30 Acolytes out of my spare Monks. Should I get 12 Jezzails or you think 9 will be enough? Most lists I see only use 9 Jezzails, is there a reason for that? Are Weapons teams useful to have? I already own 1 Warpfire Thrower, Would it be worth getting another 1 or 2 Weapons teams? Im going to use Monks for the Acolytes and Stormvermin+Clanrat for the Jezzails, do you think the Weapons teams will look good with 1 Stormvermin for the gunner and 1 Monk for the loader?

    Can I not take the clanrats as allies? on Warscroll Builder if it lets me add the clanrats as allies and keeps the 2 Stormfiend battleline EDIT: oooo and I just realised that on List 1. I can swap out the Bombardier for a Arch Warlock, assuming hes better...

    Thanks! I would love to do a 2000 point sometime, I think I should stick with 1250 for now though, its much easier to find a 4x4 table than 4x6. Also as a beginer i think it might be easier?     I started collecting Skaven last year but due to things going on in life I had to take a pause from AoS but looking to get back into it. I only had 2 small games so I am a noob but have a fairly big army and would love to start again where i left off. Atm I am going to stick with 1000-1250 games because of 4x4 tables . I own, Can I get help building a 1250 and 2000 (EDIT: I think id rather stick with 1250 for now) point Skaven army please? Here is what I got 1 Verminlord (have one more but not sure if I am keeping it or selling) 1 Screaming Bell/Plague Furnace + Seer/Priest (have one more but not sure if I am keeping it or selling) Grey Seer Arch Warlock Bombardier 2 Engineers Clawlord 6 Stormfiends 40 Stormvermin 120 Clanrats 20 Plague Monks (could get another 20) 2 WLC/Catapult (have one more but not sure if I am keeping it or selling) 2 Doomwheels Skaven Endless Spells Id rather not buy anymore, except maybe a pack of monks if needed. Could someone help me with a few variations of lists that I can make using this roster please? I am painting them with a purple scheme and green warp OSL from underneath. Looking forward to this color scheme, I think it will look quite good EDIT: I forgot I also have a Warpfire thrower model

    How good are Plague monks in a non Pestilens army? Do they have value in a mixed Skaven list? I doubt I will ever do a full on Pestilens army but will have some from the SC box
