  1. More OBR info! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/10/22/faction-focus-ossiarch-bonereapersgw-homepage-post-1/
  2. Generally agree. I don't really love most of them, they're not impossible to read but they're more effort than necessary. Maybe a nice collector's item if you want to really collect everything available to a faction, but considering the price and the design not something to practically use
  3. I've run into way more bugs on the Azyr app than I have on the Warscroll builder personally.
  4. It's my first time being around for a truly new army release, but it does seem kinda weird that we'll be able to buy the tome and see all the warscrolls before being able to buy a decent amount of the units haha
  5. I know DnD 5e and Pathfinder (well, not 2nd edition quite yet) both have errata. I think a slight difference there is that a lot of those books, especially the core books, go through multiple printings and they do tend to update between them.
  6. I guess it depends on what types of books we're talking about. If we're talking about normal books, well they generally don't have to worry about game design so that's an issue inherent to gaming so there should be different standards there. To me it seems like board games are more akin to video games than they are to actual books, in terms of being designed. And like video games, generally things get patched because the rules can be complex and some interactions are going to be missed, clarifications are going to be necessary, etc. That doesn't necessarily mean you're wrong that errata are, well, errors that should be avoided. But IMO it seems that with how widespread the practice is, it seems to be the industry standard rather than the outlier.
  7. Isn't posting errata/FAQs kind of an industry standard? Plenty of board games I play have errata and FAQs, RPGs do, etc. Runewars Miniatures did too (that did die, but I don't think it died because its rules needed errata)
  8. The AUS prices indicate lower than $230 (Blood of the Phoenix is $230 USD, but $390 AUS, while Tithe is $320 AUS). I've also seen $195, assuming the person I heard it from is different from the quoted source lol
  9. Guess it's basically in the middle of the normal $160 and the new $230 haha
  10. Mmm probably not for a while, those tomes were made with 2.0 in mind. They don’t really seem that much in need of rules updates urgently.
  11. Thanks so much! Was thinking of getting Wrath and Rapture which does have some Flesh Hounds, but otherwise great list with everything I already have haha
  12. Yeah it seems that the issue isn't necessarily if you're getting a deal or not, you generally are, just HOW much of a deal. I do think the past boxes were definitely around a 50% savings.
  13. According to the AUS site the new 40k set is $390 AUS and Soul Wars is $220 AUS, and Wrath and Rapture is $265 AUS...so guessing Feast of Bones might be like $200ish USD or something then? Some kinda inconsistent exchange rates it seems
  14. Any suggestions for a Meeting Engagements list? I currently have the old mortals SC (Slaughterpriest, warriors, Mighty Skullcrushers) and the StD Battleforce, and may pick up the current mortals SC.
  15. Let's hope that's the case, probably an instant buy at $160 but definitely not at $230.
  16. That's how it works. They announce the preorders, THEN start previewing. Also, they've been posting random articles on the Bonereapers already. Last week previewed one of the units, yesterday did a lore dump.
  17. Hoping the new boxset is the standard $160 for AoS and not $230 like the new 40K box set
  18. Damn looks like you guys were right! Spoke too soon
  19. Hmmm seems like maybe no Bonereapers preorder next week? They just previewed Adeptus/Aeronautica stuff
  20. Battletome says a Tempest's Eye army can't take KO as allies, I'm guessing exactly for this scenario
  21. Would be interesting if true. All 4 of those armies HAVE been represented in boxes in the past year or so though: Stormcast/Nighthaunt in Soul Wars, Skaven in Carrion Empires, Gloomspite in Looncurse. Of course, the latter 2 boxes went out of stock really quick, but I do sorta feel it'd be nice if they spread the love around a bit more to other factions
  22. Yep, the schedule is looking like preorder announcement on the 20th, preorder on the 26th, release on November 2
  23. I believe they go back to Azyr since that's where all the reforging stuff is (I think the Sigmarabulum?) and the core book mentioned that it could take any amount of time to reforge, even mentioned like years I think.
  24. Yep. I believe the schedule is Sunday they say "hey next Saturday preorders open up for this cool thing" and then throughout the week they post previews, and then preorders open up Saturday.
  25. Just saw that the new 40k battle box is $230. I don't play 40k, is that standard? Or when compared to the battle boxes AoS gets (Looncurse, Carrion Empire) that go for $160, does it actually have a lot more stuff inside?
