For me the best books are Orruk Warclans & Cities of Sigmar, excellent depth in both books, lots of viable warscrolls, makes for just so many potential armies that can all compete and all ave there own flavour.

There is obviously a factor of new book syndrome (Though changehost isn't new) but it's very clearly above the curve. Almost a guaranteed first turn, being able to tag the majority of a opponents army with no retreat, a lot of powerful shooting, total board control. It just have too many things.

For me the sad thing is there is no reason to not to take pettrifax, a army wide +1 to save on a incredibly resilent army is far better then any of the other subfactions.

I really thought we were going to see something in the age of chaos, age of myth but rank and file to keep the IP related to AoS. Really did not see this coming at all, nonetheless tentatively hyped as I LOVE the old world and rank and file games.

Attack sequence is spefically rolling to hit and wound, saves etc. To be targetted for a attack (prior to the attack sequence) you need to be in LoS.

I like having the digital copy so I can read the book whereever I want I like having the physical copy with me when I go to play events.

I think the best thing about AoS right now is how the game is all about scenario play and I don't think that aspect needs changing

Never seen a model from either collection actually on the table.

For me it amazing despite how silly Age of Sigmar, it produces some really tight, deep thinking fascinating games and game states. On top that the world is so with lore and the game looks SO good, as well as all the amazing content that gets produced around the game (podcasts, twitch streams, etc)

So I managed to get some more test models done this weekend! Really happy with how they've came out, feel like I'm gettting to grips more with the contrast paints. Everything from this is done with all contrast

I disagree about the whole "We need games played, you can't say anything about the balance of a army before it's released" We all know the game, we all know what's good or not, we can all read warscroll, allegiance abilities and understand the synergies between them. I defintely think OBR are tier one from what we have seen and if Slaaanesh get the nerf I think they will be top of the pile.

Honestly once Slaanesh gets its FAQ and if OBR aren't as strong as they seem on paper, we will be see a amanzingly diversa meta.

I think without playing them but looking at the warscrolls, allegiance abilities, subfactions and the synergies between them they will place them selves straight into tier 1.

It's funny how I have been aclimaized to GW prices over the time I've been playing there games. I recently bought a FEC army for £225, it was a good deal and I got aboout £400 worth of product, didn't think twice about buying it. Then when I sat and down and thought about my self say 10 years ago (being 17) I would of worked 2 weeks to even get that money, and would really think a long time before spening that amount

I like the new era of terrain, I do think the old era has issues though. Things like Wyldwoods completely define Sylvaneth and things like Shipwrecks and completley shut down a players movement. The new era which is simply a extra rule or two is much, much better design.
