  1. This is a very nice, clear and concise list of what you can / can't use in different points game, it's great.
  2. Skink chief on Stegadonk Stegadonk Stegadonk Bastiladonk Bastiladonk Thunderdonk Templedonk This how I will play AoS 3, why worry coherency when you got stonks.
  3. With a lot of leaks coming through, I'm blown away by just how much will be changing with the new game. - Command Points completely revamped, a lot more involvement with their use - Completely new scoring system for scenarios, moving to a system a lot more like 40k for scoring - Reinforcement points meaning you will see a LOT of minimum size units, and max size units will be 1 per army. - New board size (thought this was given). AoS 3 is looking like to a completely new game in terms of army construction, what armies will look like on the table, how they will play with all the new CA interactions and how we play the scenarios due to new scoring. I wasn't expecting such drastic changes, what are peoples thoughts?
  4. Honestly I don't understand how we get drawn into a politics discussion so much. It's not the place for it, it'll only end in a mod closing it down. Just enjoy the toy soldiers for what they are.
  5. Lets agree to disagree, I think it's a good change.
  6. Very much like the change to endless spells, solves the issue of the bound spells from Seraphon being a have in a world of have nots. Great addition for priests as well, all in all good changes.
  7. Beastclaw raiders most likely fit the bill the best, you can have a all mounted army and they're very heavy!
  8. I'm very excited to take a deep dive into the rules. Will units with a champion now be be able to inspiring presence them selves? Are we 100% seeing batallions from army books go, etc. Cannot wait to sit down and read through it all.
  9. I have about 40 models boxes of make between my Tzeentch, Seraphon, AoS and Warhammer Fantasy Battle High Elves, as well as a horrific amount of models to make so I'll be all good.
  10. Beastclaw Raiders or Megagargants are the most competitive monster mash options.
  11. https://www.gamemat.eu/en/battle-mats/44-x60-battle-mats/44-x60-sands-of-time.html This looks like the right size I think?
  12. Anyone know any companies that are producing 44x60 mats suitable for AoS?
  13. I don't think GW intentionally produce under the curve books, but I do think they unintentionally make books that far above the curve which sort of pushes them into a spiral of continuing the trend. That said not every book is made on that bell curve some fall way short (Hedonites of Slaanesh is a good example). The rules quality has always been a real mixed bag, I'm not sure if there is a disconnect within the rules team or there is a lack of communication between the rules writers or between the play testers but there certainly are books that are released that you just think "how was this said to be okay?"
  14. I'm not sure if the "New" Kroak leak is real, that rule is very similar to his AoS 1 warscroll and it seems odd to move backwards to old rule for "kroak reawakened"
  15. I've never collected Chaos Dwarves but their incarnation in AoS was the closest I had to pulling the trigger. I think the aesthetic they pulled off for them in AoS went from cartoony to grimdark badass chaos worshipping dwarves which I was all in for.
  16. Do you think we will get a new GHB alongside the core rules on release?
  17. Sadly this is most likely fake, so sorry about that.
  18. Orruks are very agressive and tend to be low model count, Gloomspite Gitz tend be quite hordey and heavy on magic, both lack much shooting. For me, something like Khadordan Overlords would be completely different shift in mechanics and playstyle. I'd go for Arakanauts in boats, it's the only way.
  19. Not got the warscrolll to hand but I'm fairly sure it's per engine of the gods you get to roll.
  20. So first look at new Kroak, he's lost his shrug, he's lost his 4+ CP for a 5+, he now however has more wounds, a better move, no longer access to balewind due to wound count, a flat +2 to cast all the time as well as a really swingy rule to interact with summoning. I think he will sit at 460 points.
  21. I can see why GW is a fan, it's a very easy buy in if you own for example Ironjawz, well I could try a unit of Savage orcs.. suddenly very easy to own a Bonesplittaz army as well as a Ironjawz army. Personally in regards do I like it or not? I don't see any disadvantage to it and in terms of list buildings the books that have done that (Cities of Sigmar, Orruk Warclans, Ogor Mawtribes, etc) for me are some of the best books to write lists from, so I suppose I'm all for it.
  22. Overall very excited for the new release, new battle plans, changes to batallion, changes to command point resource structure all means loads of new things to try. New edition generally brings that sort of fever pitch with it, where everyones local chat is exploding with AoS chat etc, it's a good time.
  23. For the record I don't own LoN, I was just confused at the situation given no formal statement from GW saying "This is intention/this is happening with this book etc". Appreciate the clarity from you all. So if someone is asking the reason is the intention is that SBGY are placing LoN, and any warscroll that was in LoN is now in SBGY (not all of them) and you need to use the most update warscrolls, found in SBGY. Cheers guys!
  24. I was told by a friend "WARCOM confirmed that the LON book is being retired and SGL taking its place. They said something like: “Everything that’s in LON and not any other army will be included” Seems so but seems wild there hasn't been a official statement anywhere.
  25. Hi all, I would just like some clarity in the LoN / SG Situation. As far as I'm aware, the new SG book has replaced LoN, is that correct or no?
