HobbyHammer
As Heading suggests, I am selling a fully painted army soon and wondered if people have better experiences of selling as a whole army or as separate units?
AdHocGames
Selling as seperate units tends to do better for me, but you run the risk of being left with random units that didn't sell.
Grimnaud
In my experience I've both expected and given deeper discounts for entire armies than for individual units. So if you want top dollar, selling it unit by unit will probably be the way to go, but some of the less popular units might sit around for a long time. SuperHappyTime
Fully painted? I'd say try Whole once or twice.
mmimzie
If its painted the whole thing. I sold my old empire army like 5 years ago for a few thousand.
UrFrndJenn
Always whole because you risk people nitpicking it for certain units and you'll be left with stuff that wont sell.
Xerox
I would say it depends strongly where you live. In Germany you wont stand a chance to stell it for a propper amount. So piece for piece is the better Option, even fully painted.
Flogger
Easier to get things sold separately but lots more work sending a bunch of packages and as mentioned you'll be sitting there with a few units left that just didn't want to get sold.
Chris Tomlin
It also depends on the composition of units in the army. If you have a force that is Tournament ready then you may find it easier to shift in a oner, likewise if it is exceptionally well painted/converted or has a unique theme. My preference is definitely full army, but I do know some people have had success with individual units. My reasons against this though would mirror those above.
